My comment on thredup is strictly based on kids clothes. I scanned the site and saw some really high prices for some really warn out stuff. A pair of dirty, warn new balances for $17.00? This confirms my notion that consignment for kids items is for suckers. Most businesses give you next to nothing for your items and sell them for too much just to pay for the overhead and still turn a profit. And people fall for the high end brands thinking they are getting a deal. I have three kids and have always found awesome deals on brand new name brand items. You just have to shop smart. Always use coupons and never buy unless it's on clearance. The big name kids retailers get so many collections that they almost always go on clearance before they are out of season. Just bought 4 pairs of boys corduroys for $5 each at gymboree. Dont buy consignment for kids... they're ripping you off!
