Paid twice for an online order. I filed a lawsuit, since they refused to admit it. They ended up having to pay for the refund plus all legal fees. All they had to do was look at the bank statement I sent them. Instead, it amounted to them losing over $700.00 for the legal fees plus a $25,000 fine for fraud.

I had shopped in their stores, this was my first (and last) online order. It was purchased 3 weeks ago. I cannot contact Burlington by emails or phone calls. They are making sure of that. Every one of my emails are ignored, no matter whom you try to contact. The 855 number will not answer, even after calling them at all different times/days. You won't talk to a live human, even after waiting over 40 mins each time. I can't track an order, as you have to create an online account in order to do. Cannot do that either, as their site consistently says "having trouble with this issue, try again later" for 3 weeks. So, my order was paid for within 2 hours, but my order is non existent. Calling an actual store got me no where, no matter what manager or supervisor I spoke with. I was told it simply wasn't their problem, as the order was not purchased at their store. This is plain simple fraud. I have had to contact the corporate office and have now filed a lawsuit.

I was very unhappy with an order. I purchased many bottles of essential oils. They have it clearly listed on their site that the bottles come with a dropper top, so you do not have to purchase any eye droppers. When I recieved the order, every single one of the bottles had a plastic cap on top that was supposedly the ye dropper. Only... non eof them were attached to the top. I thought perhaps they came unsnapped, but they couldn't, since they did not fit the cover. I wrote back to them explaining that I cannot use them without an eye dropper, and since they are supposed to be fitted with one, and these don't even snap on top, to please send me some eye droppers. They sell these small plastic ones on their website as well, about 15 cents a piece. I was told in my response that I can purchase them if I like. That would have cost me about a dollar, but I would also have to spend 9 dollars to have them shipped. The droppers are all small tiny pieces of nothing but plastic and they weigh less than an ounce all together. 9 dollars to ship something that weighs about as much as a couple of cheerios? When I explained that since they advertise the bottles as HAVIING an eye dropper, and that none are needed, and that I should get the droppers sent to me... for free... I never heard back from them. I did keep getting mail order catalogues from them. I called them and asked why I never heard back from them. The rep had no response. None. Zero. I had my name removed from the mailing list. No apology was offered as well.

I have booked 4 vacations on Home Away. Only once did the homeowner respond, book, take payment, send a rental agreement, and answer emails. All of the others said they were not responding to ANY of my emails because they were not GETTING my emails. I know that this cannot be true, because they were very quick in expecting a deposit, but it wasn't until AFTER they got this, that I would not hear back from them. 3 times I had to contact Home Away and tell them that I was not getting any emails or phone calls returned, even after the owners told me that upon receiving my deposit, I will get a rental agreement immediately from them. Yes, they contacted me after Home Away intervened by calling them. From what I gathered in my conversation with the reps on Home Away, they HAVE to call me back right away, or Home Away would take their listing off the site. Funny how quickly they respond after that! Funny how they also only respond when they need you to send a payment by PayPal. They get THAT email! Seems to me that it's a generic excuse with owners to simply say "what emails?" Also, when I inquired about renting other properties, and there have been at least 35, none of them got back to me. None. I couldn't know if the property was available since the owners did not list a calendar showing what days you can rent. You have to contact the owners on the site. What I find bizarre is that they show a response rate on the individual listings, to allow renters to see how often they do in fact, respond to inquirers. How is this possible when they DO NOT respond? Some say 99 percent!
