I was curious to try this site out. I'm a math major and numbers guy. I have heard from many people this site is "rigged" and has "many fake profiles". So my buddy and I decided to join and see what was up.

I'm not ugly whatsoever. (not to sound cocky) and don't have problems picking up women. Nor does my friend.

We created profiles then proceeded to send about 8-12 messages per week (each) to women. After 4 months. We averaged out of the 160 messages we sent to women, ONLY 6 responded. This is unreal.

What does this mean?

This means that POF is not updating their sites profiles. Profiles on the site are still showing up but are either, fake, non -active or have not been removed off the site itself. Ironically, out of the 160 messages we sent to women, only TWO showed up in the "who's viewed me" section. This means, NONE even read the e-mails we sent to them. Because if they did and "weren't interested" or "deleted" our messages. They would still show up as if they viewed our profiles.
POF makes it look like profiles are "online" when they really are not online. I also personally received 3 messages from women on the East Coast saying there profiles were showing up in Los Angeles, even though the NEVER put LA on there profile.

This means POF is purposely manipulating the amount of users in "your area" and the amount that are "online" when in reality they are not whatsoever. Many of the profiles seem to be abandoned and non -active.

POF is set up to purposely drive traffic to their site. Plain and simple. They need the advertising money. They depend on that for survival. Unlike Match.com, e-harmony etc. that make money from paid suscribers. POF has a very low paid subscription amount of users. They realize, people are leaving their site in droves and need the site traffic to make it look like there are more profiles than really exist.

POF is a Canadian ran company. NOT based here in the United States. So they bypass most laws by using peoples pictures without permission or consent.

All in all, POF is more of a marketing gimmick. Sure you nay "meet someone" or talk to someone from your area. But don't get your hopes up that you will find "the love of your life" on this site.

I am a very athletic guy and been a swimmer my whole life. Cross Fit is NO joke and pushed me to the edge of my cardio and strength work-outs. I went to about 5 classes (my buddy owns a franchise) and it was straight military boot camp. Although they do have classes for beginners and more advanced. I HIGHLY recommend these classes and you will notice results. I got to the gym 5 days a week and after 1 of these classes I had to take 3 days off cause my body was worked very hard and needed rest... 5 out of 5 stars.

If you are a single guy DO NOT JOIN. Your wasting your money, period. The site has many lisitngs although majority of the people are over the age of 40 (couples and women) The people on LL are very "clicky" and can be rude if your "not in their circle" I was on LL for over 2 years. Met about 7-8 women and 3-4 couples. Was OK but nothing to scream over. Most pics were not the person I met in person. Many of the posts are FAKE... yes FAKE... not real and stolen pics. Seriously more than 90 percent of the profiles had the same pictures for over the 2 years I was on, and it showed they hadn't logged in for over 3 years... so why waste your time. They say "100 percent verified: which means NOTHING. Anyone can verify your photos are authentic. It does have chat among other things and you will get spammed from "hot women or couples inviting you to a swingers vacation in Mexico"
99.9 percent of the e-mails I got or messages in chat were from the male half. It's a bait and switch. The women post their pics and the dudes fill in sending and replying to e-mails and on chat posing as if their "spouse" is in on it. It's all political and BS. Do NOT let anyone tell you different. If your over the age of 40 or 50 then you may like it. But if your younger (much younger) like me then your wasting your time. No joke...
