My ordeal with Sammydress has now officially been 3 months in the making.
Initially I was attracted to the site thanks to a wig sale, I identified a cheap wig I was willing to take a chance on, however I needed to cross a certain value to qualify for free shipping. I picked out a dress and a babydoll style shift that I thought looked cute and allowed me to qualify for free shipping. I made my order.
Eventually shipping info came to my inbox and showed that my order of 3 small items were going to be shipped out in two separate packages, not what I was expecting but I assumed it would be fine. I was so wrong.
It took 20+ days for my first package to arrive, the dress and shift. NEITHER of which arrived as advertised, they are off colored and don't hold the same shape as the product images.
I submitted a ticket to ascertain the status of my wig (the ONLY item from my order that I actually wanted) and eventually got a reply saying that it may take up to a month longer. I waited. The time passed I messaged again and they said it was lost and would not be sending a replacement; I could order a new one (and pay the difference in cost because the price went up since my order) or I could ask for a refund which I did. Two weeks later still no refund. After another round of messages they said that they wouldn't be refunding me fully for the wig, because suddenly it was my "fault" for not getting shipping insurance on my SECOND parcel. However at no point in the order/payment process did it say that my order would be shipped out in two separate shipments, and it certainly didn't give me the choice over which of the two shipments got the 1 insurance that's included in the order (cuz I obviously would have chosen the wig package).
All to say I made a complaint and another two weeks have passed with 0 response, 0 refund.
