I have been using ThredUp for a year now and have found some really great finds! It is a little over priced for consignment shopping, but the upside is that the quality of the items you purchase is pretty much guaranteed.
If all you have to do is purchase an item, you are golden.
But on the chance that you need to return an item, well this is where the issues arise.
1. They are not available by phone, only by email. If you have a question for them, sit back grab a cup of coffee and wait a few days. The last time I had a question I had to wait 5 days for a response! That is unacceptable. If my cell phone provider or if Amazon took that long to respond, I simply wouldn't patronize them anymore. This tells me that either a) they simply don't give an eff and/or b) they need to hire more staff.
2. They only allow 2 weeks to return an item, and they must have received it two weeks from the day it was delivered... so you really only have about a week to make returns. Make up your mind and make it up quick.
3. Some of the items on the website are marked as "Final Sale". With only a mere 2 pictures for each item, some at unflattering angles, its usually not enough information for me to decide whether to purchase a Final Sale item or not.
Overall, I like the clothing items offer, but I think they need some serious improvements to their business model before they gain me back as a customer.
