Around Christmas of last year I ordered during one of F21's bogo sales. I was sent an email saying you may receive your order in several orders. I was thinking to myself well that is just stupid but oh well. Needless to say I only got half my order. The bogo part was totally missing. I guess it really was buy one get one! That seriously annoyed me. I tried contacting them and then they made up some story about how some of the things I ordered weren't actually in stock. I failed to see how this was my problem. I asked them why they charged me for products they didn't intend on sending me and needless to say the responses were idiotic. Mam, there's really nothing we can do since we can't prove you did not get the items. Oh so now I'm a liar and a crook? Fantastic. Unfortunately, I didn't let that stop me from purchasing some more things on president's day this year. I placed an order of 6 items. Two pairs or readers, two pairs of shoes and two necklaces. After waiting two weeks for a shipping confirmation and after emailing several times I still received nothing. So I called their customer service line. The girl on the phone was very friendly. I asked her what was going on. My order has been in "processing" for two weeks. I want to know if this is just an error in the system or what. She checked in the computer and confirmed that my order was still processing. She admitted that it wasn't OK for that to happen. She said that even with the companies full allotted time for me to receive an order I should have been getting it the next day. Well clearly that was happening. She asked me if I wanted to cancel my order and at that point I was so peeved that I considered it. She also told me that for some reason my order was already packed up together and ready to be shipped out but for some reason it just had not been. This does happen sometimes unfortunately although it is few and far in between she proclaimed. I was about to cancel my order. Then I thought about the fact that the flats I had ordered were all sold out online. I asked her how many of the things I purchased were now sold out. She said three of them. So I asked her how long it would take me to get my items? She told me she would contact the warehouse right away. She did and they shipped it out that night. Let me just tell you that I thought these items were coming from Los Angeles like my orders use to. This order came from Pennsylvania. I live in Ohio. So I waited over three weeks to get an order that could have came to me in the same week I purchased it. How ridiculous. That's not all though. When I finally did receive my package everything was literally just thrown in the box. My glasses were bent and out of their baggie. One of my necklaces chains was snapped in half and is now unwearable. This company is an utter joke. I can't return the necklace either because jewelry is final sale although it came to me broken. How is this the customers fault? This is no way to run a company and I am speaking as the owner of my own business. I am done with you Forever 21. You rip off so many people. You should be ashamed of yourselves! On a final note I feel that the company could have given me some sort of compensation for my order taking FOREVER to be received. If I had not contacted them God only knows how long I may have waited for that order or if it ever would have come at all. In fact all my items probably would have ended up selling out and they would have just sent me my money back whenever they figured out their mistake. I should have gotten a gift card or a code for some money off... something... but no, nothing. Maybe that's why they call themselves Forever 21 because it takes that long to get to you.
