Hired through Thumbtack, you do not, under ANY circumstances, want to hire this contractor! Capital Development, LLC of Acworth, GA and its principal Kevin Nguyen are unreliable, unprofessional, untruthful and contrary to two great reviews on Thumbtack, (one from Tyler who I'm pretty sure is an employee/partner) does not appear to know a thing about construction. They are EXTREMELY disrespectful of property. For example, they left the property unsecured on multiple occasions; i. E., doors unlocked and on one occasion, they actually left the key in the door. Upon completing the project, we discovered that they poured waste concrete all over our driveway and lawn, which has now hardened into mounds! On several occasions, we pointed out to Kevin Nguyen that items had been removed from the house and he 'promised' to have them returned/replaced. Never happened!
Kevin Nguyen has refused to work with us on the punch list we developed when we saw the job coming to a halt. Items on the list that he considered "complete" could have been done by a 12-year-old! Brand new flooring has purple paint or some other substance ingrained into the flooring that we will never be able to remove! Subsequently, after paying this contractor $33K+, I now have to hire various workmen (plumber, brickwork, handyman, etc.) to finish the project. Capital Development, LLC and Kevin Nguyen have also refused to provide paperwork for 'new' HVAC, sump pump and other electrical and mechanical items that should be in the owner's possession.
This has been the worst building/reno experience and that's saying something considering that I've done two major renos (in New York City!) and had a new house built (in a foreign country!). I have NEVER experienced this level of incompetence and shoddy workmanship! Please learn from my bad experience. I could not recommend Kevin Nguyen or anyone associated with Capital Development LLC, build a birdhouse!
Note that all photos included with this review is AFTER Kevin Nguyen declared this project completed.

Tip for consumers:
Do not believe all the reviews on Capital Development website. "Tyler" actually works for the company and was at our project site on several occasions.

Had to get some materials ready for a meeting at noon and was STARVING! I usually use Seamless, but I wanted McDonald's so I signed up for a DoorDash account. McDonald's is about 4-5 blocks from me, but I just couldn't go in. So, at 10:29am, I placed my order. Confirmation email gave me an 11:18am delivery time. 4 blocks away, but okay; I'm hungry and I'm busy. At 11:45am no food, no phone call, nothing! I called the "Dasher" and he told me that he was in the Bronx (I'm in the financial district) and that "they" sent the order to wrong store. It's now 15 minutes to my meeting, so I told him that I need to cancel the order. He hung up on me. I made a PB&J sandwich and went into my meeting. At 12:56pm, my cell phone is blowing up. I step out of the meeting to answer and it's the SAME delivery person telling me he's here with my order... my breakfast order... which I ordered at 10:29am! Are you KIDDING me. I told him that I'm not at the location anymore (had to leave for the noon meeting) and besides, he was supposed to cancel the order. Now, I don't know if he traveled from the Bronx with a bacon/egg/cheese on a biscuit, but who would want that?! This was my first (and LAST) order with DoorDash. I also noticed that the receipt I got via email was significantly higher than it should have been. I ordered $6.00 worth of food with a $2.00 tip and the receipt (not itemized) was over $13.00! DoorDash may work for some, but I found the experience to be the worse thing I ever encountered. I use Seamless, Slice, UberEats and have NEVER had these issues. RIP DoorDash!

Ordered an Acer laptop computer and MS Office on August 15th. Notified my bank in advance of larger than usual purchase so that there would be no delay in processing the order. Bank rep stayed on phone with me while I completed the online order to ensure that everything went through without any issues. Before being able to submit the order, there were several 'personal' questions I had to complete such as DOB, previous addresses, address where my car was registered. Unfortunately, I paid no attention to the red flag going off in my head; I just needed to get the computer ordered/delivered as quickly as possible. So, I answered the questions and completed the order. The level of personal information they require from the customer just to complete an order is highly suspect! But, hoping/thinking all was fine and the order would be shipped, I let it go. By the time I got home Friday evening (still August 15th), there was an email stating that my order was on hold because they needed additional information. There was a number to call in the email, but of course, no one is there during the weekend, so I had to wait until 8am ET on Monday to call back. When I called back, there was a ridiculous run-around by a "customer service" representative with such a thick accent, I could barely understand a word she was saying... and mind you, I teach ESL students! She had to 'call me back' at the number I was calling from. She needed to know what the ship to address was and then put me on hold (for the third time) to confirm it was what I said it was. It was all surreal! I let her know that I would never order anything from TigerDirect again and that I would do my best to let everyone I know that they must NEVER even consider ordering from TigerDirect! Continuing now; on the 19th, I get an email stating that my order has shipped. When I opened the email, I saw that it was only the software that had shipped. The computer still had not shipped. At this point, I was done with TigerDirect. I immediately completed the RA request for the software and handed it back to UPS when they delivered it on Wednesday, August 20th. On Tuesday, I called TigerDirect to cancel the order since the computer had not yet been shipped. I even got a cancellation number! That was Tuesday; on Wednesday, I receive an email that the computer had shipped! WTH?! In the meantime, after making the call to cancel the computer on Tuesday, I immediately ordered the same computer from Rakuten.com. Ordered Tuesday... received and set up on Thursday! No hassles! The computer from TigerDirect has still not arrived (been a week now). Since you can't get a RA on their website for the computer, I called and spoke to someone named Gabriel who gave me an RA number and said that UPS would pick it up on Monday and if it wasn't there/ready for pickup, they would return on Tuesday or Wednesday. Do I believe him... heck no! But we shall see. Planning to post this write up on as many sites as possible so that others are not subjected to the experiences I (and others here) have had to endure with this less than reputable outfit. My final words?! DO NOT SHOP WITH TIGERDIRECT…EVER!

Tip for consumers:
Don't do it! There are way too many sites that have great deals without amassing all of your personal information and then still not coming through.
