I made a bid on a room and the bid was accepted. When I checked into the room, I was told there was an additional $4.95/night resort fee. What a scam. When I called Priceline, I get a scripted version of a response. As I viewed the pricing on other hotels during bidding, there were statements that there will be a resort fee added to that bid. But on the hotel that I bid on, there was no resort fee mentioned. This charge made my bid $5 more per night. That's $150 more a month. If I'm "Naming my own price", should I pay the price that I named and they accepted or should they be allowed to just charge any amount to my credit card because I'm locked into this bid. Can't cancel it. Can't change it. I'm just screwed. And the sad part, there was no resort. No amenities. Just some rundown old slimy motel.
