The sites are slow, terribly optimized for mobile, and possibly the worst for search engines. On top of that, don't spend too much time designing your site or editing it, because at least once a week, Wix's design tools won't allow you to save all your work. 4 hours down the drain each week, at least! If you have a real business, stay away from Wix! You're much better off spending a little more money with Squarespace, Setmysite, or some kind of actual website solution. Wix is nothing but a toy... a very poorly designed toy.
Tip for consumers:
Here's a tip, there's much better solutions! If you want to do it yourself, Squarespace is way better and worth the extra money. If you want someone else to do it all for you, Setmysite is the way to go. And for ecommerce, Shopify is pretty good. I've used a couple different services over the years with Wix being the most recent, and it's by far one of the worst! Not as bad as web.com, but close. Squarespace or Setmysite are my favs.
