I purchased a watch from Watchshop early in December (not a cheap watch, it was £250). A day after it arrived I noticed it had a fault so I contacted them and they told me to return it, which I did. I then had to chase them for about 2 weeks until they finally said they could not repair the watch (not that I expected them to be able to) and that they would return the watch to Casio. I told them this was not acceptable and that they must either supply me with a new, replacement watch, or give me a full refund, because consumer law is quite clear. They flatly refused. No matter how many emails I sent (and also calling them), they will not comply with the law.
After about 5 weeks they informed me that Casio needed to source some spare parts, but they did not know how long that would be. Again, I requested a new watch or a refund, and again they flatly refused. At this point I contacted my bank and requested a Visa charge-back to be placed on the transaction. A week later Watchshop finally agreed to comply with the law, i. E. only after Visa became involved. I have also contacted Casio directly and asked them to consider not supplying Watchshop.
From start to finish it has it has taken over 2 months to get this matter resolved.
This company is the worse company I have ever had to deal with. They ignore consumer law and I can only assume they just laugh when they receive complaints. Hopefully Visa will take some action against them.
