I have used Amazon for a very long time off and on. However, a couple years ago, after my sister moved across the country, I decided to go prime to ship Christmas to her and her family. Now I am a true believer and absolute Amazon convert.

I can have nearly anything shipped to my house in 2 days for free, regardless of the size or weight. Now with the Amazon app on my cellphone, I find myself in stores double checking the price of items, often buying off of Amazon on the spot instead of paying extra in the store. I know it will be there quickly.

When I have had issues with some of the third parties on Amazon, resolution has always been made quickly and in my favor. I try to steer clear of non Amazon prime resellers.

I love this site I have bought so much from them and always look to them first for my electronic parts needs.

From my Titanic MKIII 15" subwoofer kit which keeps up easily with $5000 in Klipsch speakers in my home theater, to dirt cheap HDMI cables, I love parts-express.com.

There parts reasonably priced and they carry a very wide selection. As an amateur speaker builder I am always able to find what I need.

Beyond all that their service is top notch. Both pre and post sales. When I originally bought my subwoofer kit, I assembled it and set it up. My brother came over and while I was showing it off it made a pop and started to rattle. Needless to say something was wrong with the speaker and I just got it. As it was a kit and I assembled it, I feared the way I would be treated when I called. I was so wrong. First they were very clearly American, and were very caring about the whole thing bending over backwards to please me. They immediately shipped express a replacement subwoofer, with a return shipping label so that I could return the defective speaker to them once I receive the new one.

I always look to these guys to fulfill my electronics parts needs. RadioShack no longer exists to me (always cracks me up when RadioShack says I can order it in for you).

I stumbled across this site sometime ago. As a professional developer I didn't have much need for it but liked what they were trying to do. I have recommended it several times to others who have asked how to get started. If nothing else it will give them a feel for programming.

Recently my son became interested in learning how to program and so I had him read a little then pointed him to codecademy.com. He is so excited he let me know last night that he had completed his fourth lesson on the JavaScript track. He turns 12 this month and is starting to program, the same age I started at when my parents brought home a TI99/4a.

The screen arrived quickly and matched perfectly. My wife is so happy to have her laptop working again after the kids kicked the display. Install was pretty well painless. I am very skilled in this type of repair, but would say this is a very easy task on the HP DV7. I have also done a MacBook recently, it was a bit more complicated, mostly due to the heavy use of double sided tape on the bezel trim.

I know it can be tempting to scrap a laptop when facing something like a screen replacement, but we need to be a little more thoughtful about our waste. Disposing of computers is harmful to the environment, giving a laptop new life with a screen replacement is rewarding.
