I just received part of my order and every garment was made of the cheapest polyester (nylon), thinnest crap they could find. Strings hanging off of everything. The "comparative discount" prices are misleading! No one ever paid that price for these items!! Strings hanging off of everything, obviously seen in a hurry. Even the clothing tags are cheap. So basically, this is the type of stuff I'd expect to pay $10 for in the downtown Los Angeles "garment district." To top it off, you can't return anything and at least if you went to a discount store you'd know what you're paying for.
When you're buying something you can't return, you take a chance the fit is right. But the prices were too good to pass up. I bought some tops that were marked for juniors so I went up a size & it was perfect. I also bought an avalanche jacket that also fits perfect and the quality is great on both items. The only down side is that I waited a couple of weeks and it may be another for the other 2 items but the price makes it worth it. I will definitely buy again. The quality is about what you would get at a kohl's or similar place.
I've been ordering from Zulily for a long time. Although I do it very rarely as of late. I get the concept and know it will take a month plus to get anything from them. Some deals can be found on Zulily, but buyer beware! Unless it is a name brand item, I would caution very strongly from purchasing. Sizing is NOT accurate on over 1/2 of the items. Very disappointing, especially with no returns allowed, to order a top that should fit you according to their size chart, only to find that it measures INCHES smaller than what is listed in the chart. Crazy, but true! Clothing is very difficult to purchase at Zulily with most items being 100%, or high percentage of polyester. Quality is below average. Sizing charts are NOT accurate. But when they have known brand names, you can find a good deal. Just don't get your panties in a bunch if it takes 6-8 weeks to get your stuff....because sometimes it will, not kidding. NO RETURNS ever, this is another killer to this site. There are many other options out there that are better then Zulily.
I have ordered from Zulily many times and never had a problem with delivery, quality or size. OK, it takes longer to arrive than the Amazon prime stuff, and I have never tried to return anything, but I knew it would take several weeks and am willing to wait for really cute, inexpensive items from a foreign land. So if you're in a hurry or need to be sure each item is pristine, order from a different site. Me, I'll take the discount, order thing bigger than I usually do (I kinda like some of my clothes to be roomy) - I am 5"2' 110 lbs so I get Mediums. Shoes and boots seem to fit right, if you know your European size. So all of you naysayers - try Nordstrom.
How long should my order take for boots? I only ask for regular delivery.... it has been 3 weeks now since I ordered. If I choose faster delivery by paying the extra shipping cost would I get it much quicker?
I love the site and would like to buy more but the no return policy is a problem. I ordered 3 tops my first order in large and one was fine the other two were huge and went in the giveaway pile. My second order was for a top, a jacket and the Jayli wine tie-dye patchwork skirt - the top went in the give-away pile, the skirt is a joke - just a big piece of stiff ugly fabric that only has a vague resemblance to the photo - it went in the trash. I see many things I'd like to buy but realize I'm better off throwing my money down the drain.
I absolutely Love Zulily! Sounds like the negative feedback comes from people who don't realize they wait on the company to ship the item, and some items take longer, and Zulily shouldn't be slammed for offering deals coming from other companies! I give them a 10
This company is very hit or miss on what they offer. As a plus-size woman, I like the prices, but so many of their tops are see-through and don't look that way in the photos. I've been ordering for several months from them and have donated at least half my items to the thrift store. Only order brands you recognize from them. I suspect a lot of their items are cheap Chinese goods.
I ordered two items from Zulily on September 2. Five weeks went by before the first item arrived. I then received an email saying that the second item was currently unavailable, but I could choose to wait another 30 days or cancel the order. I cancelled the order and received an immediate refund of $2. Two days later I received the balance of the refund. If I'd known that it would take 5 weeks to get something, I wouldn't have ordered. When ordering for infants or toddlers, they can grow out of the item before it's ever received. Doubt that I'll be ordering again.
The actual rating is O stars. In August, I ordered 7 pair of matching pi's as gift for 7 grandkids for Thanksgiving. We are only together every other year. One pair did not arrive and was cancelled today, Oct 25, 2015. The pajamas were in stock when ordered but Zulily shipped my order to somebody else ....... Unbelievably poor business practices!!!!
I am a size 14 Ordered EX and they so small would not fit my left arm. Will not try again.
First and last time for me with zulily! The clothes looked so cute and prices so reasonable, I got sucked in to the too-good-to-be-true delusion. I placed the order over a month ago, and zulily just isn't sending the order! Further, it seems they think they can convert my money to store credit, though they acknowledge they don't have the items I ordered? Crazy.
I have been a zulily customer for almost 3 years. I have purchased shoes, clothes, outerwear etc. The sizes are hit and miss at the best of times, and while I have always found the strike-through prices to be inflated, it hasn't been enough to stop me shopping. Until now. The quality of the garments has become so poor that the strike-through is completely laughable. Even the "discount" prices they offer are much more than the products are worth. Many items are final sale, so you are stuck with the ill-fitting or poor-quality items. Very disappointing. There are better sites out there. Don't waste your money here.
As long as you read everything to know what to expect, this site is great. Since they offer many brands, sizes can vary. Shipping is also varied depending on if product is in stock. Some things have arrived within days, others in a couple of weeks. I had only one product to return and they simply replaced it and said donate the old one to charity!
Be a smart consumer and READ!
Wish measurements, color and better descriptions/care instructions were available. Have ordered several girls dresses (all VERY nice) and girls shoes/boots, several craft kits (good value) Also lovely Spode mugs (capacity shown) and more. Ordering a single item can be expensive with delivery charge.
Every time I've ordered from this website, everything has come within the time frame it said it would. I think a lot of people complaining did not check the description where it said it would take x number of days before it would ship and then 5-7 days to ship.
Everything was of great quality and authentic. I would recommend shopping with them.
If you don't want to wait for shipping delays, then you can purchase from the ready to ship option.
I placed an order on September 13, 2015.
The first piece of the order was delivered to my old address, so before the other pieces shipped, I made a phone call to get the new address in place.
After waiting for well over a month for these pieces to arrive, I decided to place a phone call to zulily to find out what happened to the shipment.
I have never been so frustrated by ordering online as I have been ordering through this website.
Unreliable shipping, the order I was so anxious to receive got lost in transit due to a typing error made by the person I spoke with on the phone. Tough luck for me, there are no replacement pieces to ship.
This is not the first time for such an experience through this company for me.
If you don't mind never receiving the product that you're so looking forward to getting, or how long it takes to get to your home or even if it gets to your home, then by all means, order!
The products I've purchased have been great, the prices are wonderful!
HOWEVER, I don't see myself ordering again.
It's worth it for me to order from places like amazon, just so that I KNOW I will get the products that I've ordered.

I have had nothing but good experiences with Zulily. I ordered an item and it was broken. When I contacted them, they refunded me fully and sent me a credit to apologize. I ordered another item that never came in. They did the same. When I ordered and had a family emergency, I contacted them and they refunded, no questions asked. I love Zulily and recommend them.
I spent five minutes simply trying to get into the sight. I tried two different emails. I simply wanted to see what they had to offer. 7 attempts, 2 emails, and I gave up. Shopping should not be so difficult, or behind an iron fortress. Don't waste your time here. Stinks.
I have ordered a lot of products from zulily. Especially in the children's section as they have a great selection of high end products at a great price. My only complaint, and I'm getting to the point where I don't know if it's worth purchasing any longer is the delivery time. It just takes sooooo long to get anything. Average at least 3 weeks. I'm waiting on 4 items right now that I ordered on Oct 7th (it's the 18th). The socks are still pending delivery to zulily and other things are "being prepared". I have had to cancel one item in the past because it just wasn't coming in and I had almost forgot I had ordered it. So, if you don't mind waiting there are some good deals to be had, as for me I'm a bit tired of waiting. I've got a package coming from Etsy via Turkey and it's going to get here first.
I have order over 60 items so I have learned a lot about this company. Biggest thing to know is READ SIZE CHART before you order. You are ordering designer clothes and a few companies say they offer a size 3X BUT IS ONLY A SIZE 18. The quality has always been very good and true to form! Also you can NEVER SEND ANYTHING BACK. But customer service will return your money if it is the wrong thing or wrong size. Also if you ask they will also return your shipping charges and may give you a courtesy gift of money (remember ask!). Yes sometimes it take quite awhile to get the product. Only one time they over sold the item so order was cancel. One thing I like, if out of product you can be put on a waiting list and most times within a few days it comes back in. Things are only available for 3 days so order when you see it & must pay to lock in the order. Love the one time per 24/7 shipping charge. Beware order one thing then come back and order the rest (I order a few things & my shipping charge was more than the bottom line of shipping cost.) Their time runs from 3:00am-2:59am ET time. The place is in CA. SO I SAY GET! IT IS REALLY WORTH THE SHIPPING TIME (has never been over a month & that was only twice. Most times are around 2 weeks.)!!! The cooking tools are so neat because I don't find a lot of them out in the local stores and if so cost so much more. PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ WHAT THE COMPANY HAS TO SAY ABOUT THEIR PRODUCT. I have bought purses/shoes/dresses/jewelry/pants/kitchen tools/household goods/school supplies & etc... When you still have questions about the product you can always go to the product company. I have always found that you are paying so much less than on the product companies site. I sure hope I have answered your questions but always remember in doubt don't order because you cannot return it. However you can always donate the product to places like GOODWILL and get a tax write-off if it doesn't fit. Got wrong thing twice so learned the customer service system. Was offered and given the shipping cost & courtesy gift. PS: They speak English! Don't forget ask others to order on this system for your free gift when they order.
I have read the bad reviews for Zulily and was surprised. I too have ordered clothing online from them and must say I was quite happy. One item may not have been exactly what I expected, however, that happens no matter where I order from, and if it is not what I wanted I wear it a few times then hand it down to someone else or, I will put in in Good Will where someone can benefit.
I ordered my baby a pair of boots...after waiting six weeks, finally got them. They were beautiful. Until I went to put them on her and realized they were both leg foot boots!!! I also ordered some matching dresses for my girls and I, that said to be white and navy blue. Got them after five weeks and they were a piss yellow with navy!!!!
I bought what I thought was a pea-coat for winter, but what I got was b a jacket, resemblig a pea-coat made out of sweatshrt material. It was well made, but not at all suitable for cold weather. I was suppose to get it in n a purple box with matching tissue paper, came in a plastic bag. Their shipping charges are in kind of a conspicous place with all kinds of conditions attached. And no refund policy. Probably wont be placing orders with them. It takes 3 weeks or more to get your merchandize.
I did not know that shipment takes so long...
I am turned off by it; the reason of online shopping for me is convenience and speed.

I have to completely agree with the review posted by Erika L. I have absolutely no complaints about Zulily.com ... My experiences with the site are in line with my expectations and these expectations are completely disclosed to you by Zulily ... if you are looking for fast shipping or need items quickly, this site is not for you and you have to understand that, which I do. I love Zulily thusfar, and I also understand that when I order from them, I may not see that item for another month or so. There are no surprises here so I am really puzzled by all of the negative reviews.
I just received a jacket I ordered. I usually wear a medium, but ordered the large because that's all that was available. The jacket is so small I can not zip it, and the sleeves and shoulders are too tight for movement. This was my first and last purchase from Zulily.
Warning: if you buy ANYTHING from Zulily be prepared to WAIT a long time for your order. The deals honestly aren't that good either. I Placed a order 3 weeks ago for a pair of shoes and they just sent me a email saying - sorry, woops that order is no longer available but we'd be happy to exchange it for something else... What?!?! I was so mad!!!! I will never shop there again. I don't know how that place stays in business....
Love shopping from this site. Have gotten so much quality products and have spent much less than expected. Sure shipping takes awhile but if you wanted a product right away you should of bought it in person at a store. Keep up the great work Zulily!! :)
Almost all of the negative reviews I've read have to do with slow shipping time. It's a wholesale site, people. Read the terms and conditions. Zulily places a mass order from their suppliers when they get enough orders from customers to do so. Then, Zulily will receive their order to their facility, and then the ship it out to the customer. It takes a while, and it all depends on the suppliers. If you are not patient, don't order from Zulily because some items may take up to a month to ship. Don't assume you'll get it the next day after purchase.
Another issue seems to be refunds or returns. It is universally understood that when you buy something at a steep discount it is not refundable. The level of ignorance on the customer's side is staggering. The customer is not always right.
I've been shopping with Zulily since 2013 and so far no complaints. Unless I want something that same week, I'd order from Amazon. Otherwise, Zulily is my go to site for awesome savings on cute shoes and quirky gifts.
Know who you are shopping from before you are quick to give out negative reviews.
Be careful what you buy on this site.. Sometimes you get a great deal and sometimes you dont.. When they don't mention or feature the brand of shoe or clothing (or its a brand you don't recognize), beware. I ordered a pair of boots that a brand was not mentioned. Ad made the boots look leather. Got the boots and I'm not sure what they are made out of but it literally feels like paper. The cheapest boots I've ever seen.. Plus they stink of chemicals.. But when you are buying brand names you can get good deals.. I get my daughter Jelly The Pug clothing here and its always adorable and great quality at a great price. Mukluk is another brand they frequently feature, and again, very cute styles, good quality good price.. I will agree with people who say the shipping is horrible.. It literally takes a month or more to get your items. And shipping is not cheap. If you are going to wait that long to have your items shipped, they could at least offer free shipping!
I ordered on Oct 2nd. Emailed them on Oct 10 to check on order. Here is their response...
Currently, your items are being processed and should be ready to ship by 10/18/2015. These items usually take 8-16 days to ship from the order date to ship from our fulfillment center and 2-6 business days to be delivered to you.
This has me very concerned about what will show up. They obviously are a very inefficient company. Don't see a future for them.
Zulily LOST my package and gave me a runaround response for a week! NO RESOLUTION! These guys are thieves in my book. See Below for their responses. They are asking ME to call USPS and deal with their mistake. This is deplorable!!! I will NEVER order from Zulily again.

I’ve never had to work this hard to track down a package from a huge company and this is so upsetting! Your customer service is usually quite good but this time around it’s been deplorable.

I gave up on Zulily after I realized their items aren't actually cheaper. If they are, it's BARELY cheaper and then you have to pay shipping so it's pointless! You could go to a store today, but the item (a much better quality at that) TODAY, not pay shipping, and pay the exact same price. False advertisement. Drives me nuts that so many people don't realize it!
Never ever use them again, first time for me in Australia, sizing inaccurate and colour of an item ordered nothing like the catalogue. I'm now left with a horrible dress to get rid of, pants I've given to a GF that can wear them. 2 items I've wasted money on. Shenoah, Qld, Australia
Very disappointed with the quality of two of three items I ordered recently. (The third item was poor quality too, but I understood it wouldn't be great.) The two items that surprised me were not as they were described and pictured. I have been happy with Zulily in the past, and felt like I received quality goods for a good price, but they've changed. Zulily's offerings now are poor quality knock offs, not worth the price they are charging. No bargains here anymore. Don't waste your time looking.
I used to love Zulily - they introduced me to so many neat things I didn't know I needed. But once they ran out of an item I ordered before my order shipped. Instead of refunding my money, they issued a credit. I didn't mind so much because I planned to shop there again. However, I didn't. Time passed. Zulily sent me an email and said that my credit would expire if not used in 3 days. . . sadly I was traveling and so when I read the email, it was already too late. I emailed and asked for my credit to be reinstated. But their answer was too bad, too sad I was late and they would not refund my money because the expiration policy was covered in their FAQs. I will not shop there again.
Got sandals from zulily and they were larger than I order them-returned with zulily as instructed but no refund was issued after they received back the sandals-even every email was promising refund soon-they are a scam-opened a case with my credit card and Paypal to recover my money
The variety is good but the sizing is never accurate. Since things can't be returned that's a problem. Prices are ok though not always - I usually search Amazon to see if I can do better. The shipping time is maddening! If you don't care when the items arrives - it's usually about a month - then maybe it won't be an issue. I have ordered "ready to ship" and still it takes too long. They should at least do free shipping to make up for the terrible delay. Again the variety is good but that shipping time is a deal breaker so I'm done shopping with them.
Three red flags: 1. There are no reviews of any product they sell, 2. Items are available for a limited time, 3. Most items are final sale.
Any one of these would be risky for a consumer, but together they mean that the company has a window through which it can sell volumes of low quality goods to customers who can't warn anyone or get their money back, and then discontinue them before bad sentiments start building up. The fact that they take ages to ship anything actually ensures that any bad feelings come after an item is discontinued anyway.
I realized this after ordering a dress that was surprisingly poor quality: extremely cheap material, shapeless, and with obvious flaws. It was $40, but you'd be unsurprised to see something like it at a dollar store. There was nothing in the shipping info or emails about returns, and on receipt I realized it was a final sale. Well, at least I could leave a bad review, right? Nope. They are not Amazon. Once they have their money, they are done with you.
I ordered clothes for Fall. That was almost 4 weeks ago... And you would only see the Estimated delivery time after paying. I wanted to cancel my order when I learned it would take almost a month to be delivered, but I was thinking refund might take even longer so I just decided to wait.
My orders were even divided into two different packages. I was thinking of saving my review till I get my stuff. But either way, I'll still say... And I'm saying it now.. I'LL NEVER ORDER FROM ZULILY AGAIN!
