http://www.flatland-london.com listed by ZOOPLA.CO.UK, really suks, today I went for some good looking flats that I saw in the web, they said "just come to our office in 125 Gouchester Road", but when I arrive they want me to pay 80 pounds for give me an excel list of flats that probably doesn't exist or are a trash bin. Of course I didn't pay, but I spent 5 pounds and my time going there
This website shows (apparently) property values on your house. They are based on some algorithm they have set up that amazingly works out the value of your property. However, property prices are based also on the inside of your house, which they have not seen. The prices are widely unrealistic. For example: they said my house (an end terrace) was worth £153,000 and my neighbour (a mid terrace) was worth £167,000. Mine has been priced by an estate agent at £175,000 and I have just reduced by £10,000 for a quick sale. Still nowhere near their estimate. Some random houses do not have any estimates. I asked for my house to be removed from the site and they refused. They said I could submit my own house value. I did this and said it was worth £999,999 which they published. However, their valuation appear at the top of the page in a large font, you would have trouble finding my valuation. I would like my house removed from the site, but they have told me this is not possible. I should have the right to have it removed.
I agree in total similar thing happened to me my property a 3 bed bungalow was valued by an award winning estate agent at 325,000 Zoopla estimate 278,000. Next door neighbour with same type of property 30,000 higher. 3 bed house semi detached in next road 1.8 million. I want my property removed from their web site how can I do this.
I had many firm email conversations with Zoopla and they refused to remove it and just kept repeating themselves saying their values are realistic and I can amend if I want to. That's what they want, to get everyone to add correct details of their homes to their stupid site so they can make money from it. It is wrong what they are doing, I bet if I wanted to write that the house next door is a dump and worth much less than their valuation and is a crack den then they wouldn't let me.

I've got neighbouring identical flats in Surrey. Both have been renovated but one was totally stripped back to brick and with a much more stylish and modern finish but it was bought for under the Market value even taking into consideration of the fact it needed renovating. The flat that I consider having a lower standard finish is valued at £295k on zoopla, the one with a higher standard finish is valued at £267k. A load of rubbish if you ask me. As far as I can tell the valuation is based on the low purchase price so I am being penalised for the fact I negotiated a good deal on the second property when I bought it. Another point is zoopla states the first flat was on the Market 6 years ago which it certainly wasn't as I have owned it for ten and have not tried to sell it in that time period ! Again a load of rubbish !
