I've used a number of penny auction sites, including zbiddy. The model works like this: You buy a bid pack, then bid on the product you want. If you're the last person to bid, you win the item. The reason you get a discount is because other people are bidding too, so multiple people are investing in the product. There's some strategy to it, but that's what makes it fun. If you're willing to be patient and learn the ropes, sites like zbiddy can really pay off. I've won several auctions and paid significantly less than retail each time.

App for collecting money by offering nothing. When you purchase you get Nothing and no way of recouping your Money. When you call customer service You have the honor of speaking to Someone who speaks broken English ( if your fortunate). They claim they will Return your money-don't hold your breath. Still waiting after 2 years. Shame on me. Are they out of business?

ZBiddy is definitely a scam site. Go to EBay instead. And good luck disputing any charges from your credit card from ZBiddy. I tried disputing a charge from ZBiddy (w/o my permission) from my Best Buy credit card and they were not able to help as well. So I end up closing my account for lack of support. Funny though, Best Buy keep sending me a new card. They just don't get it, lack of common sense.

I can't believe zbiddy.com is still in business. I would be ashamed just working there and not notifying the consumer of the ongoing fraud.

My experience is that they are very very slow in delivering products that have been won. With that being said, auctions could be won at reasonable prices if you are patient and watch long enough to understand when and at what prices other bidders get bored and go away. Here are some other tricks that I found that address some of the concerns that others have.
When I signed up, I didn't give them my credit card information because I didn't trust them. I exited at the point that they were asking for my credit card. That was far enough, though, that I was registered and I was able to log into the site without ever buying the initial $99 bid package. I didn't give them any credit card information until after I had won an auction.
There is a Spin The Wheel page where you can win up to 10 free bids a day by spinning a roulette type wheel. You can only do this once in any 24 hour period. The trick is to click on "spin" and if it isn't going to land where you want it, just click any other link prior to the wheel stopping and you can go back and try again. I retry until I get 9 or 10 bids each time.
I have won some good items that have been delivered, but there are some auctions that I won back in December that have still not been delivered and the selection of new auctions has recently dropped to almost nothing. Looks to me like the site is shutting down and I probably won't get the last items that I won.

Am glad more people agreed that this site is fraud. Just in case I saved most of my chats conversation with them, all their promise and fail. They are total fraud even though at the initial time they were okay and later all the things i won including ipod never received them and some that i received didn't work, they even gave me an empty usb card reader. I left more than one thousand bids for them when I noticed they were playing games and more over nothing good to bid for from them.

Tip for consumers:
Do not even try them plssssssssssssssssssssss

DON'T EVER use this website; it is a total ripoff. You sign up, give credit information thinking it's like PayPal - then they nab you for some $99 bid package automatically. Then, when you dispute their transaction, they refuse to refund your money, despite 3 "logos" promising 100% satisfaction. I doubt I'll ever see my money again, but this place is totally fraudulent and a complete rip off!

After being shown a bid taking place where a Mac Air went for $9 in the promo i was surprised to see that the number of items you can bid are are small and very spread out over 30+ days! I feel like this is a total bait and switch and I want my money returned. As it stands they have no return policy so I am contacting my credit card company today! This place is a total scam!

I have been trying for over a year to win anything worthwhile on this site. Now it seems the only thing available to bid on is pure junk. They have quit auctioning all but a few gift cards except a few 5 or 10 dollar amt. When you get done bidding on them and pay your delivery charge you are sure to lose money. This site truly is a joke!

They put multiple ads on craigslist, then when you respond, they send an email saying they JUST sold the product but... "they found the item on zbiddy for even cheaper and you can too". Its not OK to play bait and switch. Due to this deceit I will never use zBiddy and I will also spread the word that it uses dishonest, unethical tactics in its marketing!

Only gave one star since you have to give something. Won a $10 gift card in December and an iPod with over $200 in January. Kept using live chat and got the same response. Wait 3-5 dats more. Finally on 2/4, i got an email from Zbiddyrewards.com. Filled out the form and waited for email confirmation stating when ut will be shipped. Tried live chst now disabled and website has no auctions. Got an email from zbiddy billing saying they are refunding the cost if iPod but nothing about shipping and handling or missing gift card... the saga continues

Everything everyone has said in their reviews happened to me; wasted time on the phone, lies, misleading advertising. We can report them to the Department of Consumer Fraud and several others! Please contact me about finding an attorney that will take this case-class action on contingency!

This is THE WORST online bidding site... they have no products worth 1/2 of what they say they are worth, the couple I did win arrived a month after paying for them, and only after many contacts to their customer service department. The poor girl who has that job should get a raise as obviously those who run the Bull$#*! site don't give a damn about customers or feedback. Check out the BBB rating on this company and you'll see they currently have 186 complaints against them, one more as soon as I go file mine!

When you do a live chat with them its a pack of lies... They said they would send me a $100.00 gas voucher... that didn't happen... big bunch of liars! Their time is coming, they are a bunch of losers!

I tried this site for about a month. I had some problems and emailed requests for help several times and never received valid answers if any. If you get lucky and win a nice item you probable put out plenty to get it. I won something that I(returant card) that I don't even recall bidding on and got no valid reason why. Their phone help isn't very good either. Their time for bidding or doesn't seem to jive either. I don't even bother to go on site any more.

Is there a negative number. THIS IS A SCAM/FRAUD! Stay away from this website! They automatically charge your credit card without giving you warning. They did say I will get refunded in 3-5 business days. (I hope so!). Do NOT have anything to do with this website. It will cause you lots of pain and headache, never mind losing $$$ too.

It's definitely a well organized scam. Dinged my checking account for $99 right off the bat. No clear instructions from the site. Felt like a hamster on one those wheels that keeps going round and round. Every time they dinged my checking account I was also charged a fee by my bank.

Won a few low end items, not worth much, then won an ipod in august, still to this day have not rec'vd it, now its october, contacted their chat many times, always got same answers, like they are robots, finally today got a phone number to call, got a live person, asked for my $ back plus shipping because I don't believe they will ever ship out the item, STAY AWAY
I still have bids to use, am going to use them on the high end items, maybe win, AND THEN NOT PAY

I get from some of these reviews that it takes time and patience to win. Unfortunately, I have neither. So my goal it to spend all of my bids and get off this site. What I don't understand is how they can charge me shipping and handling for bids I've one. I got charged $2.49 shipping and handling for bids that just got added into my account. That is ridiculous to me. Is it even legal?

1) The site is "legitimate." Pay attention to details when you sign up. Read the terms and conditions. Know what you are authorizing or not, and...
2). Understand what these bidding sites actually are; they are highly competitive, not easy to win, almost gambling, game sites. It's entertainment. It's a lottery. You compete to win a prize. And next, about the prizes...
3) I have received over 100 assorted items. Ranging from gift cards worth from 25 up to 100 dollars each of gas cards, retail store cards, restaurant cards, Starbucks cards, airline cards. I have received many items, to include a Dyson DC41 Vacuum cleaner, an assortment of headphones, a couple of computer accessories including two excellent monitors and other items. I have won, but not received, both an Apple iPad and iPod. I "won" all these items though hard work; spending hours at the computer, analyzing, developing techniques, timing, and luck. It really is a competition. As in all competitions, there are many losers. To win at all, to participate, you must buy bids. Lots of them. And you may lose them all. It can be very frustrating. Only the strong survive. Most people that stick with it will win something, and many times at a good price. So that's the risk. Now, all that being said...

Update: All items delivered. The Samsung TV arrived right away, and the delayed Apple products have been delivered! Not only that, I received an even newer model iPad - the iPad Air - than the earlier model listed at time of auction:)

4) There is no problem as previously reported - It was resolved. All items have been delivered. As others had indicated; they had not as of yet shipped out Apple products going back to this past summer. I, too, had been put off exactly as previously described and awaiting resolution. They are still auctioning off Apple products as I write this review. This has been resolved satisfactorily. Additionally, I was just yesterday the winner of a Samsung TV, which I hope to receive within a couple of weeks time at the latest. I'll report back on this, as well.
4) If they resolve this issue, and/or I receive the TV, I'll report that and change the rating up. Obviously, if it's not resolved satisfactorily, or the TV doesn't arrive, I will rate the company down, accordingly.

I was using Zbiddy for the first time and thought I was bidding on a tablet and ended up winning the bid on 250 bids for $99. I immediately sent them an email saying I did not make that bid and if I did it was done in error. I asked that they release my money and that did not happen. I am disputing the charge. They steal your money. I bought an expensive lesson.

I received an email from someone stating the product were so cheap to bid on because its a new site, and not many people know about it. You have to buy a certain amount of bids. Once any item gets down to 12 seconds, so many people (or generated people?)start bidding, no one ever wins. Or at least I never saw anyone win anything other than more bids. I spent over $85 on bids. In 2 1/2 hour and couldn't win anything. Wasted hard earned money.
