“This company can't possibly exist; really annoying non-responses”

Brian D.

I've sent two emails. I've tried to call over a week's period...the outgoing message says the usual--that I'm calling outside of business hours, or that all of their staff is busy taking other calls. I'm told to leave a message or send email. I'm assured I'll get a call back within a day—hasn't happened yet. Even worse, their voicemail box is full and cannot receive calls.

Tip for consumers:
It's egregious not to reply to polite inquiries. As as mark of my frustration and anger I'm taking the time to make a public statement about poor customer relations.

Products used:
Never bought from the company...I kept asking for product information.

This company is the worst. The receptionist is incompetent and never connected us to management. As she couldn't offer refunds or connect us to someone who could, she was worthless. No calls were ever returned and items were delivered late and incomplete. We later found out that the missing item was discontinued and had to pester winestuff.com for over 2 weeks before they agreed to refund the item.

Management was never available and the receptionist isn't authorized to give refunds. Brilliant system they have set up there to scam customers and provide awful service. I hope this place closes it doors and it gives a bad name all other well run online outlets.

I ordered an item as gift, which arrived too late to be used. Returned unopened, have been waiting for a refund. No refund in 4 weeks. Turned the problem over to my credit card company to investigate. DO NOT deal with this company at all. They are bogus, bogus, bogus! I found them on Amazon and have reported them as a miserable company to Amazon as a warning for others.

I ordered two Coravin products on April 23,2015. Two weeks went by and the product never arrived so I called to check status. I was told it was on the way to their warehouse and it would be shipped to me immediately upon arriving. It is now June 1st and I called to check on my order. I asked for a manager and Andreas told me they aren't going to ship my product because they no longer do business with Coravin. He said, "they have a horrible product". I was never told my order was cancelled. I had to call them to find this information out --- and then Andreas bashed a company and the products that I want. I told him to look in the mirror --- I already use the products I ordered and wanted more. I will continue using Coraivn products but will NEVER buy from Wine Stuff again!

Here to jump on board for the 1 star experience. Multiple e-mails stating payment declined and FINALLY days later an e-mail from winestuff explaining they were out of supplies but as soon as it gets in it'll be shipped out. I responded with a resounding NO and that I've gone elsewhere to purchase since it was timely for a b-day gift. Then I get an email saying it's shipped and I tell them 'No. I've already purchased elsewhere and what a great -expletive- company they are' and then the e-mails are we're sorry but do not curse at us is all they say after the ONE time I did it from such frustration over an extremely poor experience from the start over the period of a week. AWFUL COMPANY AVOID AT ALL COST.

I'm happy to join the other reviews who gave this company only 1 star. I only wish I could give them no stars. NOBODY SHOULD EVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.
I placed an order for 5 items on 2/13/14 (2 of them were for a gift), not too happy that they only promised to have them all delivered to me in 10 days -- but as that was enough time, I accepted their promise.
On 2/25 when I had not received a tracking number, I called and was told that one would be issued very soon. Now not trusting, I cancelled the 2 items needed for a gift and ordered them instead from Amazon, as I could be sure I would get them in 2 days.
On 3/6, when the balance of my order had not shipped, I called and cancelled my order.
And then, 8 days later, on 3/14, I receive an email giving me my tracking # for my order that was being shipped today.
I am so irritated by how much time I have wasted on this -- and the incompetence of this company -- that I am now taking the time to post my unhappiness everywhere I can.
I'm now told that I can get a pre-paid label to return the unwanted package when it arrives. And they'll credit my card.
But I have to call again to make all of this happen. And who knows how long that will take.

Order at your own risk! I placed an order with winestuff for Christmas this year. It was only two items, one being the real gift, the other just as a joke. I ordered by phone, although I had their web page pulled up as I placed my order. Just as their page said, I was told that both items were in stock and ready to be shipped, with an guaranteed delivery date of Dec. 23. They had given me a confirmation number, and days later, when I punched those numbers into their tracking page, it came up asking me to call customer service, as my order could not be found. I called them and was told that it had shipped out. And they gave me a USPS tracking number. The package did arrive when they said it would, but it was short the "real" gift. I tried to call them, but the package arrived at 4:15 and they closed at 4:00. The 24th? Closed as well, although their answering machine said that they were supposed to be open. I was left not knowing if it was still en route or lost somewhere. I wrote to them, and I kept calling. When they opened back up (on the Dec. 27th) I was told that the item was no longer being carried, even though as of right now, it still shows on their page as being "in stock and ready for shipment." They also told me that they had sent me an e-mail to let me know what had happened. I did NOT receive an e-mail, in fact, I was not even asked for an e-mail address when I placed the order! They did, however, have my phone number and I received no call. I have since received a response to my mail to them that reads, "We apologize; however, the other item was removed from your order. You were only charged $7.99. We apologize for the inconvenience." That is it, the whole response. Well sheesh. I was only charged for the gag gift... how comforting. I guess I am lucky that I am not having to fight for a refund.

I placed an order on their website for glasses with engraving. About a week later, I received an email saying that engraving was not available for that item (even though the website allowed me to order the item with engraving). I promptly sent an email asking them to cancel the order as I didn't want the item without engraving. I got an email back saying the non-engraved items were sent out in the mail already. Then I got a charge on my credit card for the engraved item (engraving cost more than the actual items). Tracking # on the item was then sent to me the next day showing that the item didn't leave their warehouse until the next day. I then called them to get refund for at least the engraving and was told it would take 3 weeks to process the refund. The customer service rep, Sherry, was snotty and unhelpful.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY! I ordered a set of Ravenscroft glasses to be engraved and delivered as a gift. They arrived to the recipients after taking the longer amount of time, supposedly to be engraved, and then we found out from our friends that they had not been engraved. When I called the company to find out how they were going to remedy this situation, their answer was to refund the engraving fee. That's it. No apology, no shipping out a correctly engraved set of glasses, just the refunding of the engraving fee. So we ended up gifting a set of plain glasses that I could've gotten at a much better price elsewhere. I should've read the Yelp reviews before ordering, but must admit I'm not accustomed to Yelp reviews of online merchants. Lesson learned. Bottom line: if you need something done right, don't rely on http://winestuff.com. It's not worth the hassle. Terrible company that doesn't stand behind its products or service.

I ordered 2 items on August 21,2011. The website states that they have free 24 hr. Shipping but after a week I still did not have my order. I called on Aug. 29 and they said my items were out of stock and that they would ship it as soon as possible (yet the website stated that it was still in stock.) I had to call back again to get a tracking # which did not work for 2 more days. Then the shipment took another week to get to my house. So I did not receive a package until September 9,2011. Then the package included only 1 of the items that I ordered. So I had to call back and see why only one thing was shipped and the whole "OUT OF STOCK" scam went on a second time. At first they were saying the thing that was out of stock was the item I already got, until I told them I already had it and they changed their mind and said it was the item I was missing was out of stock. They wouldn't have it for 3 more days and then they'd ship it. I finally had to call again today to get a tracking # and then they gave me the wrong one. I finally had her email me the tracking # and it turns out the 2nd item won't be here until September 24th (supposedly).

So if you order from this website do not expect to get your order on-time or even at all. I have had to call them 6 or 7 times and it has still taken from 8/21 - 9/24 (hopefully) to get my COMPLETE order shipped to me. Once again... DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM WINESTUFF.COM.

I have opened a BBB complaint against WineStuff, as apparently they have no intention of refunding me the money they owe. Horrible company, and no wonder they have an "F" as far as the BBB is concerned.

My story:

I ordered 2 wineglasses on December 14th, 2012 to be shipped to Austin, TX (I live in Georgia and would not be able to make it home for Christmas this year) as presents for my brother and sister-in-law. The pending charge of $59.99 immediately appeared on my debit card, but later disappeared and was never processed. When I checked my order status, it would just say "Processing". On December 12st, 2012 I emailed their customer support asking what was going on with my order and when it would ship. I recieved a garbled response: "Hello,

I do apologize for the inconvenience, I see that these items have been out of stock, I am sorry you was not notify, about this issue, Maybe we can exchange it for a different item that are in stock,"

The next morning I replied with "Please just cancel the order. I will find a replacement elsewhere."

I never heard back. Looking back, I should have pressed for a response to make sure my cancel order request had been recieved and the order was no longer in the system.

On January 8th, I recieved a notification from my bank that my account was overdrawn. I keep very close tabs on my account and never overdraw it. Upon looking at my history, I saw a charge for $59.99 from WineStuff. That, plus the later charges racked up $140 in overdraft fees. I called customer support demanding why my account was charged.

They had never canceled the order. My order STILL said "Processing" on the page, but had shipped a week earlier. I was told that I could ship the package back and recieve a refund (naturally paying for shipping myself). I informed the representative that the package was not coming to me, but instead going to a family member in Texas, and I was in Georgia. I was told that I could print a label out to return the package then. I reiterated that the package was being delivered OVER 1,000 MILES away and there was NO way I could physically handle the return, or get a shipping label to my family. I was told I would recieve a call back.

Amazingly they did call back and said that my family member should refuse the package and it would immediately be sent back, and that my refund would be processed "immediately" and I should have my money back "soon". When informed that my family member was not at home, and the package left on the doorstep, the representative again said I would get a call back.

I never did.

I informed my family member that they needed to NOT open the package and refuse it. They wrote "REFUSE PACKAGE RETURN TO SENDER" on the box, and notified UPS, who came to pick it up the very next day (Wednesday, January 9th). I called WineStuff informing them of the return and was told that my refund would be processed "Once the package shows up in the UPS system as being on its way back." Thinking that was reasonable, I waited.

Friday, January 11th showed the package on it's way and having passed through Mesquite, TX. I called and informed WineStuff, who told me I would be recieving a call from a supervisor. Incredibly I did, and he told me he needed to "doublecheck" it was on its way and I would be recieving an email "later that day" about my refund and it would be processed "immediately".

No email was recieved. No refund given.

I called on Tuesday, January 15th wanting an update. I was told now that while the package was "obviously" on its way back, they would need to wait for it to arrive, but that they would start processing my refund now so it would be ready to go when it arrived. I should have my money back "by the end of the week."

I did not.

UPS showed the package arrived and was signed for on January 16th.

Friday, January 18th I called and was told it did arrive, and they would "start" processing my refund "right away". And that it would take "up to 10 business days" for it to process.

So at that point I had been told:

Immediately
By the end of the week (By January 11th)
By the end of the day.
In 2-3 days (By January 11th)
And then, "10 business days"

I have called today (Wednesday, January 23rd). The response was that they had "submitted the request" but no word on if it had even been recieved, processing, or where in limbo MY money was. I was told the "10 business days" line.

Funny how they can be "processing" TAKING my money within seconds of my order being placed. But after 2 weeks, giving my money back is still not even being "processed".

I informed the representative that I will be calling back every day for updates until the money is in my account. Hopefully getting a letter from the BBB will help.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!
