I purchased a wedding dress from this site for a really good price. I fell in love with the dress online and was praying, after I paid through paypal, that I did not just get scammed. I hadn't heard any information about the progress after a month, and I was supposed to have received the dress by this time. I had emailed the seller several times and even sent messages through the website chat "email" since they were never online to chat live, but still no response. By this time, I could no longer reach their website since it was "temporarily down" (this seems to happen often-but it eventually comes back up). I became extremely worried. Finally, I filed a dispute against them through paypal and the next day they responded. Funny how it took a complaint that I wanted a refund for them to get back to me. They apologized and said they had already shipped the dress and would provide tracking as soon as they got it. Approx. 4 days later, I received the tracking info and had my dress within a couple days (from China to Arizona) about a month and a half after the purchase date. I was extremely relieved that I received ANYTHING! Thank goodness for paypal in this situation.
As for the dress, I am mostly satisfied (considering the price) but the quality was a bit different than the picture on the site. The dress could almost be a cute bridesmaid dress rather than a "wedding dress". I ordered a slender empire style dress that follows the "column" style dresses. I think because the material is so thin, it takes away from the wedding "wow" factor that I expected and saw in the picture. There appeared to be a bit more sparkle and glimmer on the picture, but only a little bit on the dress. The dress is not too bad for what I paid, but with some extra time and a little more money I can have a much better dress that I have been wishing for with some additions and alterations (simple petticoat and some crystals all over!). Even with all of that the dress is much cheaper than something from a local bridal shop. As for the free jewelery that comes with the order, it is kind of ok but extremely cheap [ go figure X) ] and they did not send the one that I requested, so that was a bit disappointing. I will not be purchasing from this site again because I prefer better customer service follow up and a more realistic quality to the picture. If I would have ordered a poofier dress, it may have looked better, quality-wise, but that is only an assumption. If you have a little extra time and money to assure the dress is what you want, this is not a "bad" option; however, order at your own risk. I appreciate that I did receive ANYTHING at all LOL (because I feared they were just going to run with my money), but if you do order, I would suggest only doing it through paypal in the event you need to dispute to get stuff done. If I decide to get a different dress, I found a really awesome one on lightinthebox.com; however, there are so many other options too out there. I would just suggest follow your heart and check the reviews about the site. Hope this helps!

However, is this website a scam? They have a sister website for the uk.
looks pretty scammy to me. Any time I see the word WHOLESALE in the website name I am very skeptical about it. False posting are also a very bad sign
would you use this website? would you find it reliable? do you know anyone that has experience with it? they have some magnificent dresses that are perfect for what I'm looking for and I do not know if it would a trustworthy enough site to use....??
I have submitted a review from my experience. I am in the middle about recommending purchasing from them. At least they did not scam me! :) I have received a dress from them in about the time they said they would send it (just about a week longer). It is mostly ok... wish it was more like the picture. Meshhp A. wow same issue here , im waiting for a month now they tell me its shiopped and i ask for tracking and they say theyll send it later ??? I responded not to pleased . I am hoping it looks like what i ordered but now im worried :( I did pay thru paypal thank good for them

Anyway, wow that dress is very beautiful! I'm a little bit concerned with the embroidery. I'm not sure how their work is on that. The more detail to the dress, the more things they may make incorrectly if you know what I mean. Also, I have read a lot of reviews about online dresses (like these) where the zippers may get stuck or not work. So just be cautious with that. My dress was a tie up corset back.
If you are really picky about quality and detail, (I know it's difficult not to scrutinize every detail - but some brides can take it a bit far lol), online may not be the best option for you. If the details are THAT important for you, it will be worth spending the extra money in a local place. It's just a matter of shopping around (:. The way I look at it though, is I am only wearing this dress once for a few hours...I can handle it not being a Juicy Couture! LOL!
Honestly, the dress does not look exactly like the picture, so you must prepare yourself for that. The material may be slightly off...If you have enough time to wait for the dress to arrive, and enough time to make alterations when it does arrive (and probably an extra couple hundred dollars lol), and you REALLY LOVE this dress... then maybe you can go through with it. (The money you spend in the end is still less than what you would at a local shop!) BUT Make SURE you research as many other options as you can first! Because I didn't know what to really expect from online ordering, I prepared myself for the worst. This preparation has truly helped me deal with the product I received, and know what the next step would be. I am making small alterations to mine (:.
I actually ordered another dress too! I like it much better for the ceremony. It is much more formal than my first choice. My preference between the two stores is also my second choice. When I first received it, I was 50/50 on it. I wasn't sure if I liked it or not because the material was much 'shinier' than the picture looked, and the beading was pearly and I was expecting crystals. However, it was very taffeta-ey, so it will be more shiney (:. Also, the dress was SUPER light-weight which made it feel cheap. BUT, I let it sit for a week or so, then tried it on again - this time with a petticoat and a slip under, and it felt MUCH better and actually is very beautiful! I am pleased for the money I spent. If you look at the reviews at the bottom of that site for my dress, it resembles other people's posted pictures very much. The only difference is the train is not as long.

You should just look at it for good measure. That is just a heads up of the quality difference between the pictures and the actual dress. I would say the differences between the pics are about the same way for Light in the Box as they are for Wholesaleweddingdresses.ca
Honestly, Those dresses that they show are pretty poofy and have extra flowers and bustles and stuff...so it kind of makes sense that they would be not perfect. But in my opinion, it seems like it would be a pretty simple fix.

Well it showed up today after having to send them numerous email about it being 35 plus days and no dress and now that its here I wish it wouldnt ... i know your supposed to cry when you first see your dress but not the way i had to cry !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 DO NOT BUY FROM THEM ..... it looks like a 3 year old bedazzled a cheap halloween costume :(
Jade H. Meshhp... Sorry you did not like it... I understand how you feel. The jewels are not very good quality, I agree... Hopefully you have some extra time to spend on changing them out with some nice ones from like Michaels or Joanns or something. After all has soaked in...and now that I understand what you get for the money...I am able to move on and fix the dress to my liking! I hope you are able to do the same. Best of luck to you.
