My dishwasher had an issue about 5 months in and when I called whirlpool they sent a technician in pretty fast. It took about an hour for him to figure out what was wrong and install a new part. He had what he needed in his car already. It works great again. Turns out it was a burnt out motor. I am very happy with the service I got. Thank you.

While the dishwasher was under warranty called them to have someone to come and do the repair. Spend half a day on the phone trying to schedule the appointment and was a huge pain. After the repair was done, when I finally came home turned out that the installer did not instal the bottom arm properly and the heating element melted it. Called them to have this fixed since they butchered the last repair and now they want me to pay out of pocket for their mistake. Last time going with whirlpool. Very upset.

We purchased a Whirlpool bottom mount fridge on Jan 6/22. Rec'd fridge July/22. Fridge didn't work. Rec'd 2nd fridge Aug/22. Freezer door was damaged...was replaced.
Dec 31/23. Fridge stops working. Jan 3/24. Tech says fridge not repairable. Customer service..."sorry, nothing we can do." So, we're out $2000 in less than 18mos. That will be the last Whirlpool product we purchase!

I purchased a whirlpool washing machine with warranty. The washing machine broke down after two years and needed a new circuit board and main board. It took over 2 months for a technician to service the unit. Within those two months I had two service calls scheduled. Both times the technician did not show up or call. I spent $300 on the warranty and another $600 on laundry services. They did not care to reimburse me.

We bought a new refrigerator and it arrived DOA, it lit up but didn't cool. After calls to the store where we bought it and then to Whirlpool "customer care" (a joke on it's own), a technician came. He said that some wiring was reversed at the factory and was able to get it working. We asked if we could change direction of the door and he said a tool was supposed to be included with the fridge but he couldn't find it. He said he would order it and then we could easily do it ourselves. Fast forward 2 months and on a call with Whirlpool once again they said there is no note of that request and that this was an extra part to order. Sorry and too bad.

In mid-year 2021 we purchased two Whirlpool refrigerators, models WSR57R18DM03. These are full stainless appliances, no freezer. The first one broke down about 6 weeks ago; we were told it would cost us around double the cost of the frig to repair it. The failure was catastrophic but undaunted, we moved on to find a replacement and decided to invest more heavily in something that might not fail as quickly. This week, the second refrigerator died. Whirlpool was called and today the technician had the same response - not worth fixing. It is apparent to us that the company is deliberately building equipment with an expected lifespan of less than 3 years. Not good enough.

11 months after the purchase of our new fridge it gave up on us. It's been 5 months now and after multiple calls to the customer care Whirlpool still have not repair our unit.

Wife died and then I had to buy new washer so I picked the one with removable agitator thinking I would cover all needs. Previous machine was also a Whirlpool bought in 2009 and I kept going by replacing parts.
I am a 77 yr old mechanical engineer so machinery is no problem usually.

Old machine had display telling you time to complete cycle and if the machine was out of balance.

New machine tells you next to nothing. It will stop, lid locked and led's flashing. No indication of why it stopped. All I can do is remove most of load after turning power off. Then I select drain and spin. Other times when very little is in tub machine will sit making noise for hours but never finishing.

I am not a laundry expert and this machine is making it next to impossible and no one cares.

Whirlpool says it cannot be exchanged because Home Depot policy does not permit. I spent over one grand and am completely frustrated. Manuals and Quick Start guide have little info and Whirlpool has no more info on line.

Tip for consumers:
Avoid Home Depot and look for small local furniture vendor who will care if you are happy

Horrible company and appliances. We've had problems with our washer and dryer from day 1. They're around 2 years old, the warranty is up and now I must pay to continue to fix a product that hasn't worked properly from the start. Washer will get stuck and run for hours. The dryer will do the same, increasing time to the max mid-load, without anyone even touching the machine. Customer service is useless. I'll never buy another Whirlpool appliance again.

I PURCHASED A WALL OVEN 2 YEARS AGO, I USED THE SELF CLEAN OPTION AND MY WHOLE OVEN IS DEAD AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I WROTE A REVIEW AND KELLY WAS NICE ENOUGH TO SAY PLEASE CONTACT THEM WITH NO WAY TO CONTACT HER! I HAVE TRIED CALLING AND JUST KEEP GETTING PUT ON HOLD

I purchased a washer from whirlpool 14 months ago making banging noise no matter how many times we leveled has never worked right it made really loud thumping and and was moving across the floor would never recommend whirl pool appliances to anyone this was the second machine i bought in 2 years i will never buy anything from that company again just had to get a new washer again not a whirlpool buyer beware they are junk

I have all my appliances - Whirlpool. I would never ever buy anything from Whirlpool and never recommend them. Customer service is awful. No one responds, no one cares. It has been over a year that I have lost close to 400 dollars on food where my new fridge is freezing and breaking apart. I have been following up and this JC service is another contractor who does not care to find the parts. So frustrating and terrible.

If there was a minus on the overall ratings I'm sure there would be 100s of them the worst company ever to exist is whirlpool horrible customer service, my washer damaged my garage ceiling because every load water would come down like it was a river they did absolutely nothing about it. You guys should be ashamed! After 2 years back and forth nothing was done just time wasted!

The shelves on the inside of the freezer door are barely usable. The ledge doesn't extend out enough so everything falls out.

I've bought the W*******A Whirlpool dishwasher in June 2021. I had to replace the drain pump first time in October last year and a second time in June this year! I don't recommend at all this very unreliable product

Dishwasher broke, they book an apt under warranty, part is backordered with no end in sight. Its been two months and all they can say is we are sorry, there is nothing we can do. I asked how its possible to order the part off amazon and receive it the next day when they themselves can't seem to get the part for THEIR PRODUCT two months and counting? Sorry, we've done all we can do. Sorry, you'll just have to wait - do yourself a favor and don't purchase a Whirlpool appliance!

Don't buy extended warranty, you'll spend more time waiting for something to get done than you have in the policy!!

Whirlpool customer services worst ever i experienced in Canada so far. It is really bad. Our less than a year old fridge is not working for over 2 months. 6 technician visits so far,,,yes it is 6 visits so far and 10 calls to customer care. Fridge is still not cooling... when u call customer care, they say "our hands are tied, you need to wait for next technician". I feel like there is not way out of it and I may need get a local paid technician or throw this whirlpool fridge. Pool quality and poor service.

ON SEPT 9. My dishwasher broke. The waranty is good untill october 24. The repair man after 3 visits was unable to repair the dishwasher.
The repair man ordered a part and after 14 days no one at WIrlpool can say when the part will arrive even though the part was expedited. This is poor management of a service department. The company is not working a part can be gotten over night by Ups or. Fedex. The part can be pulled from a factory unit or from a manufacture supply. This lack of management skills is a major
Problem.

Jan 03/23 we bought a new Whirlpool oven for over $1800. Apr 15/23 I was wiping out the oven after using the aqua clean and noticed a 3+ cm chip out of the side of the oven. I have only used this rack position once am not rough on equipment and it doesn't even align with the rack - not that a rack should be able to chip it anyway. Called our local store where we bought it. They came to look at it. The repair tech had to stay in our kitchen on hold with Whirlpool until they answered the phone. The tech was given a file number and told the 'customer' must contact Whirlpool. It's not a user friendly process at all and I'm not tech challenged. Whirlpool denied warranty. It's considered 'cosmetic' and they won't warranty 'cosmetic' after 30 days. A 3 month old very lightly used oven should not be chipping. How is this chipping 'cosmetic' and not defective material/workmanship? If you research, this is a very commonly reported consumer complaint. Guaranteed this will be rusting soon. Would Whirlpool employees or executives think this is acceptable if it were theirs? I doubt it. Chips and rust in your food anyone? Horribly policy to get around a known issue and even worse customer service. Robbery. DO NOT BUY IT!

I am writing this review as I am speaking with the service call agent as I didn't want to wait to share how crappy the service really is. He was straight up rude and passive aggressive for no reason from the very beginning of the call. Wouldn't wait, constantly interrupted. Active listening is probably a joke to this guy. Stopped speaking suddenly when I called him out for not listening and then stayed calm on the for 5 minutes and hung up.

I bought a Whirlpool dishwasher in May 2022, it broke in June! It can't be fixed as the part is on back-order, with no expected date in sight (we are approaching August 2022 as I write). Whirlpool is unwilling to do anything other than tell me I just have to wait. I regret having wasted my money on this lousy product that only lasted 1 month. Shame on you, Whirlpool! I will never buy from Whirlpool again, and will make it my life's mission to spread the word about my terrible experience, with strong advice that this brand be avoided at all cost.

They referred me to this number *******198 for further assistance. I put my phone on a redialing system because this line is always busy even in the middle of the night until next morning. After 36 hours of a non-stop busy signal, I finally removed my redialing system. They don't want to help you find a repair centre when you have an old Whirlpool product. Totally disappointed!

We purchased a dishwasher in April of 2022 and had it professionally installed in May 2022. With in a month the face plate bubbled and you could not connect to the buttons at all…. Dead and useless. So under warranty they tried to "fix" the machine. 5 times. For the same issues. 6 months with out the appliance we paid for …. I had to us3 lawyer language like " Time is of the essence". New dishwasher installed November 30,2022. March 6 2023…. Dishwasher died in the exact same light and song show that happened last May. When I went online the Bot that claimed to be a person named Pearl tried to charge me money on a credit card to "speak to the expert". Then said I was rude for saying no. That "chat" was over. I don't wan5 to spend another 8 weeks talking to whirlpool Canada representatives that live in Texas, Virginia, Alabama, Georgia,Florida and Colorado. (Nice whirlpool Canada). Please just refund our money and we will buy else where. Your customer service is brutal
