Urbanhom is also does business as lightgrey design. Beware. They are being investigated by the BBB for their business scams. They charged my card for a rug I never received. I have filed with BBB and my credit card company. If you have been ripped off report Shane Mclaughlin. THe BBB is already aware of him and his companies.

Urbanhom is also does business as lightgrey design. Beware. They are being investigated by the BBB for their business scams. They charged my card for a rug I never received. I have filed with BBB and my credit card company. If you have been ripped off report Shane Mclaughlin. THe BBB is already aware of him and his companies.

This company is a fraud. They pull you in with low prices and attractive pictures, but they will take your money and not deliver furniture. They will not even respond to your questions for months. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more money with a legitimate vendor. It will save you the nightmare of dealing with a fraudulent company that won't give you furniture or your money back!

This website and their customer service COMPLETELY sucks. Once they get your money, they do not respond to phone calls or emails. They took my order in 06/2010 and it is october... still no product or sign of the product. Nor will they call me back, or give me an estimated time of arrival. Their CEO "Shane" is a total con artist... PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE LOOKED AT EVERY OTHER OPTION. I'm still struggling to try and at lease get my money back.

We ordered an artichoke lamp in Sept and it arrived 2 months late and terrible condition! They agreed to pick it up without a restocking fee and refund our money. Great, right?! Wrong! They picked it up and I had to e-mail back and forth about the updates. Finally, they said they would be giving me a refund and it's been 5 months with no refund in sight! I keep calling and e-mailing and no longer get a response from them. Terrible! They are frauds that just steal your money!

They are horrible! Don't do business with them! My order hasn't arrived after 15 weeks now, and what's worse, they don't bother answering their phone, or returning calls and e-mails. Unspeakable! Have never seen anything like that before!

BEWARE! I asked BEFORE ordering if 8-10 weeks was a reasonable and realistic timeframe for delivery as I had a bad experience with another company. I was assured it was. Well, I ordered on may 13th and here it is august and all they can tell me is it 'in production' and can't even offer a tentative delivery date.
SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE - it took four emails and two phone calls to get the ridiculous answer that I got.

BEWARE! This is a fraudulent company and they are now doing business as LIGHT GREY DESIGN. I now know why they keep changing their business name. I had to file a dispute through my credit card company to get my money back. This company will take your money and will not deliver your furniture. They will not reply to emails, answer phones, or reply to voice mail once you have placed your order. I wish I had read the reviews from other customers who had the same experience before I ordered from them. I'm just thankful that I ordered with my credit card and that my credit card company handled the dispute.

Read the other reviews on this site, all of which are negative. The site has been re-named to "Light Grey Design"@ lightgreydesign.com, but it is still the same ownership.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT order from UrbanHom.com. They are liers and frauds. They take your money right away and stop all contact after the initial order. You WILL NOT get your furniture on time and possibly NEVER get your furniture. They do not answer their phones or emails after the order is placed and money is debited from your account. I am in the process of contacting all legal authorities I can to make sure they shut down the business and prevent others from getting ripped off by UrbanHom.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY! First of all, they take your money right away but once they have your money they don't respond to your calls. We ordered our furniture in April and didn't get the furniture till August with the promise to get in June. We contacted them many times only to get the run around. When we finally got the furniture, it came in 3 boxes, low quality furniture, not only that they sent us the wrong f'ing furniture!

I wish I read the reviews on this site before I placed my order. DO NOT do any business with this company, they have no idea what the meaning of customer service is. I placed an order for dining chairs back on 6/10/10 and was told to expect delivery in 6-8 weeks. Well, like all the other reviews on this site, I still have no furniture as of 10/6/10. I've sent multiple emails requesting information, most of which went unanswered. I've just been told that the furniture has left the manufacturer, but who knows if that is true. In the meantime, I've called AmEx and disputed the charge. I've also filed a complaint with the BBB. Shane, Jake, and the rest of the crooks at that store should not be trusted, buyer beware!

In June 2010 I ordered a Wagenfeld Bauhaus Lamp from "http://www.urbanhom.com". As of today I have not received the lamp. Email inquiries generate an automatic response which is never followed up with a substantive answer. Calls are never answered. A few months ago the original website has been closed down and the identical content can now be reached under "http://www.lightgreydesign.com/". As tempting as the price and item displayd is, do not waste your money.

I ordered a set of outdoor furniture in November with the promise of delivery in 6-8 weeks. It is now April and I don't have my order. They charged me in November. Customer Service is horrendous and has yet to give me a straight answer.

My order was finally shipped at the end of March - but watch out for the FREE Shipping! Like I said, end of March - it is April. My order is sitting in Plainfield, IN waiting for another scheduled delivery to my area so my order can "piggyback" with that delivery.

While their prices may be appealing, their service is terrible. And if you want your item in a reasonable amount of time - FORGET IT! I would have much rather paid a little more - and even paid for shipping - just to get my order.

Stop - don't look back - don't even bother with UrbanHom.com!

I ordered patio furniture for a wedding that is scheduled to take place this weekend. The order date was the first week of February. Today is June 8th. It has been OVER 4 months. They promised delivered in 8-10 weeks. When we ordered we believed giving them 4 months was ample time given their 2-2.5 month window. We were wrong. Now we'll be going without patio furniture at our outdoor wedding.

That's not the worst part. The worst part is the way they've continuously lied and hit the truth. On May 28th, after hounding them seeking status updates, they told me the product had arrived and was awaiting pick up from the shipper. Well, that was 11 days ago and now for the past three days the "seller" (UrbanHom) has been contacting the shipper and requesting delays, delays, delays. Why? Because they probably don't have the furniture in their possession yet. They are a bunch of crooks and liars. It's one thing to lack any control over your suppliers. It's quite another to start lying to your customers. Now I have less than 3 days to run out and pay a King's ransom to purchase replacement furniture AND I have to go through the Hell that I'm sure UrbanHom will wage as I attempt to get a refund of my $1,700... money those bastards have had in their hands for over 4 months. Money I could have been earning interest on.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS OUTFIT. THEY LIE. THEY ARE A SHAM.

On Friday, October 23,2009 I placed an order for two patio furniture sets. The email confirmation I received the same day for the order said "Availability: Arrival Doorstep 3 to 8 weeks". $3199. 98 was taken out of my account the following Monday. After many emails (all of which I saved) and phone calls later, I FINALLY got a delivery on March 23,2010 exactly 5 MONTHS since I had placed the order. I received one of the sets that came in 2 boxes so I signed for the delivery, but called and emailed UrbanHom immediately to let them know only ONE set had arrived. After an additional 2 MONTHS since that phone call I was told the delivery company (Home Direct USA) lost the set and is "searching for it". I was told a 2nd search was then being done and would take 24-48 more hours and they would let me know when they found it. Two more months went by with no word. Finally I spoke with a Jake on the phone who said even though all the emails had his name on them, he was unaware of this issue. So he said he would take care of it. His boss Shane finally agreed a refund for the one set not received ($1649. 99) was the best way to fix this. After weeks of calling saying I had not received a refund I finally got an email confirmation June 1,2010 that $3199. 98 had been refunded. However this is July 7 and no money has been received. I have emailed and left messages but get no returned calls. I have now filed a complaint with the BBB.

I wish i had read the reviews before i ordered furniture from this place. Seems like the only time they have ever responded back to me is when i first placed an order, and after 5 months of no furniture and threatened to dispute on my credit card. Ordered furn. Jan 19/10 and waited 6 months for my furniture. Got the furniture and the order was short my coffee table and cushions for the seat backs. Have been calling and emailing for days now and have had no response back from these slimey dirtballs. I am pissed. I got burned. Did i say i am pissed. I almost feeling like driving out there and confronting these people face to face and ask them why they ripped me off. As a matter of a fact i think i will next time i visit my sister. But for now stay away from these dirtbags. They are no good once they get your money. Did i mention i am pissed?
