I have been following Star trek since I was young. I have watched all series multiple times (currently rewatch next generation again) and they never get old. I have seen a few episodes of Discovery and waiting for Picard to start.

I have place 4 consecutive orders with Star Trek Shop. One order has been delivered and is damaged, (see photo). I have emailed customer service multiple times and have not heard anything on how to obtain a replacement or refund. I have also not heard anything on my 3 other orders. The site mentions a window of when I should receive a notification when shipped. I am now 5 days outside of that window. I have emailed customer service about this as well and have not heard anything. This is borderline theft by receipt of payment for goods not rendered. My next step is to reach out to my States Attorney for assistance in obtaining a refund or the goods originally purchase in operable order.

I ordered a personalized Coffee cup with the "Live long and Prosper " on it. When I received it today, you could read the word Live, and most of the word Prosper. The words LONG AND were covered up by
A backwards/ reversed SKU & #, AND the company name and address on one side and on the other side the insignia was covered by a frickin BAR CODE. I did send an email to customer support, but doubt they will refund (personalized) or replace it. Thank goodness the wine glasses were ok.

I purchased a gift for my husband and I received the wrong size. I have contacted these people for the past two weeks and no one will contact me back from the company. I also ordered an item, which was charged, and have never received this item. Don't waste your time with this people!

Tip for consumers:
Don't buy anything here!!! I would give them less than a 1 if I could!

I wish I had read the reviews below before ordering shirts from this, the official source for Star Trek gear. I had hoped that if I ordered my merch through official channels I would be supporting Star Trek in a way that Paramount would notice and take that into account for their support of Discovery.

Man, have I paid the price for my naivete! I ordered 4 items in mid December, with rush shipping to get them before Christmas. I received two of the four after Christmas, the remaining 2 I still have not received at all! Every time I write them to ask what's going on with my order they cite vague delays. It's insane.

I can't believe that the official outlet for Star Trek merch would have such terrible logistics in fulfillment. In the era of online sellers, it's just completely unreasonable for things to be this bad!

As soon as I post this review, I'm reversing my credit card for the amount that I spent. Outrageous!

I ordered from this site before Christmas because the phone agent informed me that I would receive a free star trek stocking with my order. They told me they were out of stock at the moment but that it would be sent shortly when they got more in. I contacted them when I received my order and asked again, they again informed me that I would get the stocking soon. Two weeks later I get an email and they inform me they have cancelled the order for my gift. I told them about what happened. After 2 more weeks they wrote me back and said basically oops, sorry, tough luck. Refused to help in any way even though they enticed me to make a purchase on the premise of a lie. Bait and Switch people - do not buy from them, they are dishonest and have the poorest customer service I have seen in a long time.

On December 17.2012, I ordered two t-shirts from what I thought was a reputable website (website was called "Star Trek Store" in December 2012). I received no confirmation email after my order was placed. This should have been a red flag. Shortly before Christmas, I called the phone number on the website and was told that one shirt may arrive on Dec. 24 and one may arrive on Dec. 26, as they were shipping from different locations. On December 27, I received one shirt. When I called the phone number on the packing list to inquire about my remaining shirt, the phone number was no longer in service. When I visited the website to get their phone number, the website had changed its name to Star Trek Shop and offered no phone number for contacting them. When I sent the requisite email with my complaint, I received what seemed like a standard "form email" apologizing for the order problem and then they suggested that I call the number on my packing slip. Did I mention it was disconnected? The email said I could email them again if the problem did not get resolved. The problem isn't resolved, and sending another email won't help because I'll just get another form email. My advice is DO NOT use this website. I will now have to take this up with my credit card company. AARGGH!

I placed an order in DECEMBER 2012 and it is now APRIL 2013. I purchased a few items from this website, but I only received one tiny, little magnet. I contacted them in email form and this is the literal thread:

"Customer By Web Form (Elizabeth B) - 02/13/2013 03:16 PM
Hello:

I have included a copy of my order receipt for reference. I am trying to track the progress of an order placed on December 17,2012. When I try to look it up via the website, it says that my order number does not exist: *******.

I received only one item from my order, the magnet, around January 12,2013. It has now been almost two months and I have not received any other items, nor was I ever emailed any information. If the remainder of the items are not going to ship, I would appreciate a refund on my credit card, although I would rather just receive the amazing merch that I paid for.

Thanks!

Order Number: *******"

Ironically, the status is noted as "Solved" even though there was nothing solved at all! I have yet to receive any of my items and they have ignored all further emails. Unfortunately, I will be disputing the transaction with my credit card company. I will never do business here in the future, nor will I be recommending it to anyone!

Right before christmas I ordered a video set that was priced at $70 on sale. I purchased the order on the 23 of December as a gift for someone very close to me. The next day, the price of the video set dropped down to $50. I never recieved a confirmation email, so I decided to call the number provided only to be told that my package was on backorder until Janurary. I understood the problem, so I gave it time. Then in Janurary I recieved a email stating startrek.com would be changing the sit due to copyright infringment. I wrote an email to the email listed on the site explaining my dilemma and why my card has been charged. I then recieved another email two days later stating the problems dealing with my package have been resolved. I have yet to recieve the video set I paid for. I feel jipped to be honest and will not be having business with this site any longer.

When it comes to Star Trek, many things changed over the years. In the beginning, everything was different. There was no money, no credits, no holodecks, no androids serving as Starfleet officers, and many other similar things. Each new TV show made ST even further apart from the original concept designed by Gene Roddenberry. He had something else in mind: a pacifist utopia on a cosmic scale, where all diversities of life in the infinite Universe matter. Later, Star Trek became more and more agressive and violent over the years, similar to its greatest rival, the Star Wars. With each new season on some ST TV show, we get to see yet another ground rule being broken. Recently, a ST reboot was made, with an idea of some alternate reality where planet Vulcan is destroyed and there is no Vulcans to initiate the First Contact. In my personal opinion, Vulcans are crucial to entire Star Trek universe. Without the Vulcan, nothing make sense, not even the United Federation of Planets itself. Although Gene Roddenberry always insisted on having much more powerful female figures included in a story, we had to wait for ST VOY to get a first woman captain of a star ship. Additionally, some changes only confused the Trekkies, such as Lor, Data's evil twin. How can an android robot, without any emotion whatsoever, ever be evil?! Yet another example of ST losing a compass over the years is a concept of Tuvok, who supposed to be pure-blooded Vulcan, yet it was never explained how come he's so different from any Vulcan we ever saw before, or after that. The same goes for his wife. They had to be unique in all the ST universe, considering the fact the couple is much more similar to other Klingons out there, not to other Vulcans. Speaking of Klingons, even the ST canon screenwriters have to give some kind of valid explanation on why the Klingons from TOS don't look anything like those in let's say The Wrath of Khan. Remember that famous episode about the tribbles anyone? My conclusion is quite simple: over the years, Star Trek deteriorated, and recently it was surpased in many ways by a rival Star Wars franchise, if not by anything else, then consistency. Unlike Star Trek, which constantly changes over the decades, Star Wars essentially stays the same, no matter what. One might say that Star Trek got defeated by Star Wars. Of course, many Trekkies tried to stay loyal to TOS ideals, creating some of the best fan production ever in science fiction, yet those are just the web shows we're talking about, with amateur crew. The official ST movies and TV shows are not even close to TOS. One might say they are millions of light years apart. Looks like Star Trek is losing a battle with its biggest rival. In a continuous battle between phasors and lightsabres, so far, the lightsabres prevail.
