I have been with them 2 years and never had an issue they are prompt and professional. They send out prescriptions quickly and are knowledgeable if you call.
I just spoke to a rather incompetent customer service agent named Mitch? (female) at 4.30 pm EST on 02/10/2024 who took a long time getting all the info, insisted that my husband (on whose behalf I was calling) needed to give verbal ok even though she later discovered that I was an authorized representative for him when I asked her to check. She gave no useful info, and hung up abruptly. I would give 0 starts, but there isn't a way to do that.

Don't get Silverscript you'll be sorry

Spend more money somewhere else….run
They wouldn't fill a prescription and I complained. They said I still had pills. This prescription was to replace the too small pills with a time release. They relented and didn't give me any discount. They wanted me to pay 235.00 so I had it switched to Costco where I paid 51.79 out of my pocket. They will piss you off so try another company if you don't like being controlled. They know more than your doctor and they are not there to help.
Tip for consumers:
I called and spoke with a compassionate sounding lady asking for help. If I’m under medicated I can’t think clearly. She asked me for my phone number and while speaking with her I said oh, a text just came in. She said “that’s nothing “ so I thought it was a test. It was a document that limited my constitutional rights and if I didn’t call them I’d be powerless. They tried to trick me. Today I can think because I went to Costco without needing insurance. No apology so here I am again. Run!
And when one goes to the Aetna site, per the CMS instruction, they don't have SilverScript even in their search engine. The best it does is send one to the CVS site without explanation where one needs to open an account. I used to think Aetna was top of the food chain when it came to insurance. If they can't serve at poor Medicare price points, they might want to get out of the game. Sorely disappointed, Mark. I say this in the public interest.

It takes time and effort to jump through its hoops.

Going with a different Part D provider
When you see so many one star reviews for this company, there is a reason why! These poor ratings are noted on other review sites as well. In my situation, I have spent more on premiums than I have in medication savings. My dislike for this company grew when I notified them that I was relocating to another state. However no one at SilverScript made the change. I was informed that my coverage would be suspended for not following up on their request. I have documentation via my call logs of multiply calls to them. My last documented call in 2023 was on December 5th to confirm I indeed had coverage. I now find out that I Do NOT have coverage. I was on the phone with them for 1 hour 59 mins and 22 secs today. I went with this company, rather than get penalized by Medicare for not having prescription coverage. Medicare really needs to look into this company. I do believe others also need to follow up with complaints to Medicare. I am pretty confident others have had similar issues. Like so many American companies, this company uses customer agents not located in the USA. Very disappointing that Medicare would allow this company to operate the way they do...
Beware of Aetna silverscript, they are scammers, they called my 88y.o mother pretending they were Humana which is her current medicare advantage plan. They ultimately disenrolled her from Humana gold nto Aetna Silverscript. This is disgusting and if I could I would call the FBI and have them arrested.
I will however use every venue at my disposal to expose them. Bring to light there fraudulent business dealings.
They involuntarily enrolled my mother in their Part D Medicare plan with a letter saying it "wouldn't effect any of her other coverage". This was a LIE! Once Silverscript coverage was in place, it automatically cancelled her health coverage through United Healthcare because their plan does allow separation of Medicare Part C and Part D. She then broke her hip and it wasn't covered because of a lapse in coverage. The skilled nursing home had to discharge her with nowhere to go because it wasn't covered.
Tip for consumers:
People should run away from this company!

Aetna Silverscript Medicare Part D
The worst drug plan I ever encountered. Inconsistent. They approve your medication then disapprove later. Customer service is a nightmare. They should be investigated for their practices.
The only good thing I can say about them is I get two generic common drugs for $1.00 each (were free until this year). Every other prescription has been refused with vague explanations. They offer recommendations on other cheaper drugs that are not at all useful for my conditions (and don't even know what those conditions are), requiring calls to my provider and long wait times to get the scrips filled. I finally gave up. Will drop them as soon as I can.

It's been a week trying to get refill of heart medication for my mother, l she is out of prescription. They refuse to authorize an emergency refill saying it was arriving today even though USPS tracking had not yet posted an ETA. Reps barely speak English and do not seem to care if they have resolved your issue or not. Never again will I use any part D company affiliated with Aetna, CVS, OR WellCare.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t do business with them in first place

Don't ever use this Rx company. Greedy as heck. They will deny coverage on multiple rx's that YOUR MD WANTS YOU TO HAVE. They denied me medicine that my Dr wrote for me. The medicine has been on the market for 19 years. If you have this awful greedy silver scripts by Atena, get rid of them. The meds that they will cover, the amount is so low that Good Rx is even better. I urge anyone that has Atena silver scripts to get rid 9f them. Pos company.
Tip for consumers:
Get rid of atnea silver scripts.

Sorry, insurance company. I was traveling and requested an additional refill, they declined. They definitely do not care about patients well being only for deep pockets!

The people at this company do not understand or speak English well at all. Any issue takes several phone calls and usually takes days to resolve a simple issue. I am overjoyed to be done with them at the end of the year after 4 years of declining service. They seem only concerned with verifying address and phone number numerous times during the 20 or 30 minute conversations. The copays for generic drugs is outrageous and their monthly premium is set to go up substantially in 2024. I will never do business with Silverscript again.
My insurance switched me to SilverScript prescription drug plan in Dec. Of 2023. I checked 3 times to be sure that my local pharmacy was in the plan before the end of the year. Was told yes every time. Received my SilverScript membership card the end of Dec. Took card to pharmacy the first week in Jan. And they added it to my account and checked and found it working fine. Needed prescription a week later. Both the pharmacy and I were surprised to find that my pharmacy had been dropped the end of 2023 with no notification to us. Had to pay full price for prescription.
Tip for consumers:
This was a change in prescription drug insurance providers that was initiated by my health insurance plan and thus I have no proof of purchase.

They dont list the higher tier 1 meds I've bought. They only list the $2 and $3 cheap meds. I can never reach my deductible, although I have paid enough out of pocket to cover deductible. I'll be finding another.
Got transferred to 10 different Indians, each asking me the same identity questions as if they had no computer system. Asked for a supervisor, was told they don't really have one. Got so frustrated I just hung up. So not worth the hassle, switching as soon as possible.
I am a retiree in the Ohio STRS program. STRS just switch to this company January 1,2024. I went on their website to request printed copies of pharmacy directories, prescriptions, etc. I received a response saying I should expect these materials in 7 to 10 days. It has now been 36 days with no materials in sight. I have tried to reach them to complain, but can not reach a person. I asked STRS for assistance and have not heard from them. In this company cannot handle a simple request such as this one, how can I trust them with my prescriptions? I am upset that STRS even made the switch based on the ratings for this company. I have already had one doctor's appointment where I was asked which pharmacy to use, and I had no answer for them. I don't often have access to the internet and they must not understand this problem. Hopefully I will receive these materials before January 1,2025.
In looking for a more affordable Med D plan, which covered Advair disk inhaler, I selected this plan upon advice from the Insurance Agency (Smart Match) that I've gone thru for a couple years. I was assured that the drug was in the formulary for this plan, for this year, at a price of $66 per disk. I paid for the year; as I prefer not to have yet another premium hovering over me every month. I got a letter from Aetna stating that the Advair disk is not in the formulary after being told that it was. In addition, the price is $192 - not the $66 that I was quoted for year 2024. As far as I am concerned, this is not only bait and switch, but yet another ripoff of someone who's trapped into using this plan for the year. Very dishonest on Aetna's part. I'll be switching Med D again next year as well as likely exiting all Aetna coverages.

Silver script cancelled me because i owed 28 dollars.I paid it and now ive been transferred to another department and im on hold for 2 hours. I called back and now 1 hour.
They simultaneously filled 3 scripts for 3 forms of short acting insulin, gave 3 opposing rules re med.
Tip for consumers:
I was given three different accounts about humalog coverage after 2 phone calls and 1 letter: 1. It's not covered. 2. I should use it because it is the cheapest option. 3. It is covered but only until March. Their online site did not recognize the existence of Humalog in their search engine. They said they would only allow 31 days of Insulin Lispro but filled a 90 day prescription. They actually somehow filled and paid for 3 different forms of short acting insulin within one week.

As soon as our prescriptions started going through silver script we started getting denied coverage, over and over. Absolute garbage.
I had knee replacement surgery and needed Eliquis to prevent blood clots. Aetna would not cover the $500 plus charge for 2 pills a day for 21 days. I was told I had not met my deductible. 8 weeks later, I am having knee replacement surgery for my other knee. AGAIN Aetna would not cover. Thankfully the pharmacy suggested using a GoodRX coupon which brought it down both times to $380. When I called Aetna for clarification, I was told that since I used a coupon, the other $380 out of pocket expense could not go towards my deductible. What a scam! The low premiums will never match the poor service. My advise...don't ever enroll in Aetna SilverScrpt drug plan. There's a reason it is inexpensive.
I'm very unhappy with their ability to provide timely service. I'm constantly having to check status. And have run out meds waiting for delivery. It's anti seizure medication. They don't care about members
I have never encountered a more frustrating experience with a company in my life. I could not understand their representatives. They were unable to understand my questions/concerns and kept putting me on a "short 2 minute wait." They did this 9 times in a row.
My issue of trying to get them to send me a monthly EOB for the premiums I automatically pay them was never resolved. As soon as Medicare open enrollment comes back around in October I will drop them as my prescription provider.!
This company is atrociously bad! Wish I could give a negative star rating
