Moderators that seem to own the forums and edit or delete according to their personal feelings and hiding behind ambiguous rules. Seems to be groups of like minded posters that gang up on posts they don't like... without moderator interference. Autocratic administration. Moderators that have been there for years and think the forums are theirs and their "friends". Used to be a very good site with objective and thoughtful posts/discussions/arguments but now is steered to moderator direction.

They make money trying to sell the consumers deals that they already had contact with whatever manufactures. It's very easy to tell try saying something bad and watch how they will defend the manufacture simply because they have money to lose if they don't. I myself would avoid this place at all costs. Their forums are cheer leading clubs, not a place for debate or discussion. Bring up anything even slightly controversial and you're deleted, your post or your membership. Got booted after twenty years as a member. Don't enrich them, use an app like 'RedFlagDeals Link Fixer' and ad blockers.

Very biased site. Be careful what product you critique because if its one of their sponsors you will be banned or suspended with no explanation. Careful what you say in the political off topic board as the moderators like Mars are pro NDP.

Redflagdeals used to be great. But now it's an over moderated corporate hole. Any decent talk is shut down and members banned all over the place. Avoid.

I would just like to confirm all the below negative reviews of how biased the moderators are. Delete comments when you are simply defending yourself. Yet those comments aren't deleted.

My review is about my time as a member in 2023, why I left and what I see as a guest today.

My time on the site was not enjoyable. The modz didn't do anything about the constant abuse of forum members by a small group of disturded individuals who frequently lied, mislead public for their own gain and gang attacked anyone who stood up to them. The likes system is broken. People will dislike a post just because they hate the store or product which gives the impression the deal is worthless but that would be a false view.

The modz would always say you have thin skin but it was modz and trolls whom had thin skin as they would cry victimization the minute you fought back, makes no sense right.

I left with a 7,451 thumbs up on my posts, helping thousands of strangers everyday but would be the target of vile abusive responses referring to my religion and gender. The modz did nothing.

I left in December 2023. You can view the site in guest mode and see the toxic environment for yourselves. Please do not visit or support this site as they allow lots of vile, ignorant posters free reign on their site.

Deals are very much YMMV here and hoarders, those who make rude, demeaning and condescending comments are condoned should these posters be on great terms with moderators like MrDisco.

There's an inordinate amount of MEGA threads with more than thousand of posts dating back many years making it very frustrating and not useful. Moderators will quickly stick your post into these MEGA threads should you create a separate post, effectively burying your post making it obscure.

Be very careful what you post on the Political Thread. The Admins like Mars, Mr. Disco and good ole Tom are ultra pro Liberal and NDP. They ban anyone with centre views like questioning the Carbon Tax.

Mildly useful, but nowhere near US SlickDeals. People with tens of thousands posts troll and ridicule new posters and if you post a deal, it better be 90% off or free otherwise local trolls will bash you to oblivion with their snobby entitled rudeness. Also quite politicized and gives space to hate comments on its forums.

The site is not well moderated. They mainly react to peoples reports and all they do is clean the place or lock the thread without discrimination. Sometimes they cleanup a thread for little to no reasons just because some members reported it. Also, as a down side, their search engine is average at best.

Your not allowed to express an answer to a question, or concern posted there.
I was completely removed by a moderator expressing, I had a suspicious IP address,,? That I felt was offensive and I expressed that to them in an email, not very good customer service.

I got one of those "you were selected" pick your item just pay shipping. I went to order as shipping was $7.95 but once you go to order shipping is $9.95 so I will skip this. Yes its only $2, but its the principle of it.

Clan INFESTED, including admins. Food police fully enforced. Some subjects are taboo or you might get banned such as Nutella!

I was never able to leave a review of Eco Energy Home Services (terrible company, stay away, I worked there I know), because I was not able to sign up with Red Flag. My email address, which I have had for 20 years, is not recognized by them. I tried getting customer service to help me over a week or so, by email, back and fourth. They never did figure out what the problem was and I was never able to leave a message. I am trying again today, two years or so later. Not holding out much hope, their customer service people last time got angry with me and refused to answer any of my emails after that. Funny, this coming from a company who makes a living listing complaints about other companies.

Don't use the cashback option--Your money will never be received. You will however get the run around and when you won't drop the inquiries, your account will be deleted

I use to love this site, easy to use with my iPad. Then they changed the site, which made it impossible to use! Can't even flip pages! Why make changes when it wasn't broken?!

This site isn't that good, they get paid by companies that they endorse and try to give a honest opinion say a negative one on any they endorse it will get removed. I think the site is a money scammers. I wouldn't trust their opinion much

Forum based poduct sale. Community. I always take a look before buying anything.

Before I purchase, I'll check their site first, cause there is full of coupon, discount information there. People in the forum are quite friendly, willing to share their shopping experience.
