“This site is great!”

This site is great! It's really for people looking to rent in a certain area. Instead of having to troll through Craig's List and clicking google map for each listing you're doing the reverse. You can also save a search and have listings emailed to you daily. You can't do that on Craig's List! I found my apartment this way and am very happy. For a free site? It's awesome. And yes, they just added reviews, which is the best way to know what an apartment is really going to be like. It's a renter's market, landlords!

“Email or call places not through them!”

I tried using PadMapper to send inquires about places to rent but after giving PadMapper my email they FLOOD MY EMAIL EVERYDAY with new places and the same ones too over and over again. If you harass your users like this without telling them they will receive 10 notifications a day then they will not be returning to use your service. PadMapper is great at SPAMMING you beware. Also please don't reply saying you have some small $#*! text somewhere saying 'you agree to receive notifications' because we all know now a days that it is shady and scummy.

My property listing was removed and my account was suspended for no reason. The contact to customer support revealed no explanation. Avoid this web site and do not waste your time.

SCAMMERS--I used padmapper/zumper to list my condo unit as a rental. I sent myself an inquiry through the site, pretending to be interested renter, to see if the site works. What happens next is crazy--I GOT 4 CONTACTS FROM STRANGERS ASKING IF I WANTED TO SEE THE UNIT, MY OWN RENTAL UNIT. They said that they have condo units to show ME! SO, this site basically allows strangers steal potential renters for my unit, to get traffic for their own units. SHAMEFUL. Never again.

As the title says avoid this horrible site! Zero customer service. Suspend my account for not submitting a document that was never requested!

I have tried to add my listing 8 times each time trying to use a different account so hopefully it would at least let me add everything I needed and I could not get the thing to work

I remember this service used to be cool but is absolutely useless now.
It's basically an Airbnb channel. Plus there is no way to omit shared houses from search. Waste of time

A pain to fill out the form and then asked for my passport, to verify me. The they rejected me, then they then asked for my house deed. Never. I understand protecting privacy but you have my passport, what about my privacy

They are useless stealing your property pictures and use them for other properties. I cancelled everything 3 years ago but it still shows up with oops not anymore available. Don't waste your time with this!

For me as well: Padmapper illegally listed my room for rent by stealing the information from another site. I never had an account with them! I feel fooled and stealed...

Padmapper reached out to us when we noticed several of their listings and were interested in viewing them. First, they called me to acknowledge my interest, followed by an appointment for a second phone call with their concierge service, who asked me the exact same questions I answered the first time. By the end of the phone call, we had set up a virtual tour for half a week away, and tours were schedule for 8 days later.

It felt like they kept giving us the runaround when we asked to tour the apartments. They promise to help you find a place by setting up the tours and compiling all the documents, but I don't really see why anybody would need them. I know how to schedule a tour and sign a lease. By the time we would have finally gone on a tour, half of the original listings were expired. Do yourself a favor and try to find the contact for the listing yourself and set up your own tour. All they succeeded in doing was drawing things out.

I am a landlord who used PadMapper for the first time. They pulled my next door neighbour's address and put it on my ad. The place for rent wasn't even my own house. Then there is no edit button to change the error and no delete button to get the ad off the platform. Then I started receiving responses from a site called Zumper. They never told me they had a "sister" site. They also insinuated that the problem with the address was due to my Facebook not being current. I don't put my neighbour's address (nor my own) on Facebook. Stay away. You will get a few responses from prospective tenants, but I don't like how this company operates. The tenants may be good prospects; I don't know yet, but I will not be with PadMapper long enough to attract any more..

I saw an appartement that was to good to be true. When I made contact to the provided email on the padmapper site, all turned bad. The person told me through email that we would have to send a money transfer to airbnb uk. Then we would receive the keys in the mail. This was a scam, be carful. If it sounds to good, it usually is. I also checked directly with airbnb, not how they do business. This all started from this site.

Padmapper illegally listed my room for rent by stealing the information from another site. I never had an account with them, and now I cannot remove the listing and they refuse to unlist it even though I rented the room more than a month ago. These people are trash, and there isn't a dumpster big enough for the entire crew of Padmorons at Padmapper.

Filled out an application for a house I looked at. They never sent the app to the landlord. No one would get back to us. Very hard to use. Just us craigslist if you are listing. If you looking for a place DO NOT submit an app through their website

Hi Nicole, sorry about that! I took a look, but I couldn't find any applications that had been submitted by a Nicole L. Are you sure it submitted? You'll typically get a confirmation screen that your card has been charged and that the application has been sent.

Has a good collection of listings and has some pretty interesting advanced features but was pretty hard to use / figure out. Also doesn't really offer a "quick" way to find apartments you like as you have to use the map and have to click on each listing to see its detail. Site has potential though but was a little disappointed especially since a friend of mine recommended it to me.

I AM GOING THROUGH A DIVORCE AND I USED THIS SITE TO FIND A PLACE. I APPLIED AT TWO SEPERATE PLACES AND RECEIVED THE SAME RESPONSE:
Hello
Thanks for your interest and sorry for the late response.it was due to my wife illness but i thank GOD she is getting better. I must confess that I am very very new in this landlord business. However, My name is Randy Lopez, I own the property. Due to my job as a missionary I spent less time in the States so I could not get a hold on any Realtor to handle this rent issue, although it was when I knew how long we are going to stay in (Texas) that I decided to rent out the property and i will be here for (3-4 years). How ever, the initial plan was to sale out the property which I tried, but some times the agents inflates the prize and it takes longer to sell i am telling you this in case if you find the property on another website, that is the old advert. Because of this reason and more we need a responsible person (With good credit) that can take very good care of it as we are not after the money, but want it to be clean and for you to take of it as if it were yours The rent is $700 and $700 for Security Deposit... Utilities such as Air Conditioner Dishwasher Walk-in Closet Refrigerator Vaulted Ceilings Washer/Dryer Cable etc are all included in the rent...

I was really intrigued at first, thinking I had found a useful tool in the terrible quest of apartment searching. However, do not be fooled. It appears a solo company, Rapid Realty, runs almost the entire site. In fact, they post many, many listings, so it appears there are many options. However, it is very hard to get in touch with the "realtors." Who, when agreed to meet with me, took me to alternate apartments, in different neighborhoods. Miraculously, everything I called about was "already" taken, despite some being listed on the same day. I went to four apartments, with three different realtors, after calling about fifteen, through rapid realty. None of them were the apartments I asked about from the actual listings. Found it odd, overall. Was shown two bedrooms, when I only need one. Waste of time. Bait and Switch kind of operation.

Hey, sorry those kept popping up for you. We actually have no association with Rapid Realty, PadMapper's meant to be a search engine for rentals, but they may have been posting a lot of listings. You can filter out sources you don't like, if one has been annoying you. NYC real estate is definitely one of the toughest markets out there...

I accidentally came across this site when I goggled my phone number. A rental listing padmapper came up adding their own opinion in red under my add that I had listed on Craig's list and suggesting it was over priced. What they don't know - since they never came to see it is that it comes with all the extras (Cable/Hydro/Internet/TV in each room plus fully furnished and prime real estate location) In addition they got the rental date wrong etc... of course their is a bathroom in a 1-BR apartment. Why put so many question marks for bathroom - or where would somebody go in a high rise apartment. I believe that says it all what I think of this website. It is not accurate, deflects from the truth and should be held accountable for in interfering and bullying other people's adds. Immediate actions have been taken to inform Craig's list as well as other sources of this unprofessional company! Do not waste your time on that site!
