I signed up at 1am on Friday night and by Saturday afternoon, I had 100 plus chat requests. My pics are not even live. This screams fishy and after reading the reviews, I am not liking where it may go if I give a credit card. How can so many young attractive ladies be so desperate to connect with a guy without even seeing his photo?
Basically paid for a non working site. Hard to contact customer service. I've used other sites. This is the worst one!

Tip for consumers:
I'd give a Zero for review!!!
This site is fake as hell. None of the people are real. I think it's all AI generated. I don't believe that anybody really has a profile on here that isn't tied to some kind of machine or fake stuff. Sorry I ever signed up here.
"Tim" from Terrace Park, Ohio wants my number because his subscription is up on Monday. Told him I was leary to do so this soon. Didn't hear a thing for a few days. On Monday, it says he is from Houston, Texas. Be leary of this guy. Can't figure out how to block him or report him. Not impressed with this site!
I was just on another website that was supposed to be a review of eDate but they were saying that the first message in your inbox can be read for free that's not true at all!
Basically all you can do for free on eDate is like profiles supposedly if you match with someone you can only send an eDate generated message to them but you have no way of knowing if that person even gets it even if they do and they respond back to you you can't send them anymore messages. A paid subscription isn't the issue though if eDate is putting false informations out on other website promoting them instead of a review then how can you trust the entire app I mean are the profiles even real? Can you actually meet in person anyone on this app? One false statement makes the entire app sus
Tip for consumers:
You really can’t trust this app since they promote their app on a website that’s supposed to be a independent review but it’s reallly eDate
Ghastly rip off! I switched to AdultsFinder.club - I'm happy to report that there are bunch of real women there who are not stooges employed by the site (which is what I believe eDate women are). I take my hat off to them. I took my eDate profile down. My experience on eDate was absolutely devastating: no genuine women, absolutely all the women I talked to lost interest in me when I mentioned switching to free sites. $800 out of pocket, wasted on scammers - I learned the hard way. Please learn from my mistakes!
The cost of sending a letter is immense. The women are madly interested in you as long as you keep writing them on eDate, they won't make contact off site. This seems to be a recurring theme.
This sight seams like a total waste of time. Fake pics on profiles and scammers spamming galore before i even can post a pic and look to see if i want to subscribe. I decided to look up reviews and found this page. THANK YOU FOR the honest reviews i will not waste my money on this site just to get scammed.! DO NOT LISTEN TO THE COUPLE OF (good reviews) those are bull S##T!
Having to wait until it's time to spin the wheel. Sometimes I cannot spin on time because of other things I have to do. I totally regret joining, what a waste of money.
I sent over 100 messages and got zero responses. Paying for EDate membership is one of the useless things you can do with your money. Now I'm struggling to cancel my eDate membership, since they attempted to put several charges on me. But they make it very difficult and confusing to cancel. I guess it's their fraudulent way to make money.
Bought a one month subscription and cancelled about a week later. 90% of the guys list their status as "rather not say". I think the site itself sends you "messages " from people but there is no message there. Just a solicitation for you to message the guy. I began to notice multiple guys using the same pic and profile under different names. Overall the site is pretty lame. The only guy that actually had text in his message wanted my phone number. Uh, creepy! This was also one of the guys using multiple names same pic and profile.

This site edate is a total waste of time.
I joined Mate1.com in 2009 and met my hubby through the site. What more can I say. We have been married now for 2 years and happily as well. No every experience is the same and I can only speak from mine. So don't knock it till you try it.
EDate is super hard to cancel.
EDate is entirely fake.
You can't cancel eDate electronically.
You have to find the hidden text to cancel:
"You may cancel Your Membership at any time by: (a) calling Us toll free at *******828 between 9AM and 5PM EST Monday-Friday and 10AM to 4PM EST Saturday to Sunday".
Sorry, it is a waste of money. I lost $20 CAD to eDate.
The list of "messages" in the screen grab below is not that. Nobody messaged me nor will they message you. It is a list of suggestions to hit up. Nobody is interested in you because it is fake! Don't get sucked in.
Best of luck, guys.

A refund policy is applicable but I have not yet applied.

Last summer and fall, I used a different site for three months. About half of the women answered when I wrote to them. I had about ten dates.
There's a huge difference on Mate1! About half of the women have had their profiles removed when I click on the email link from my regular email. Those were probably already discovered to be fakes. Of the remainder, all but three never answered -- and I put a fair amount of effort into contacting potential dates. I never posted or sent anything that would be a turn-off, such as a solicitation of sex or naked photos. I am almost totally being ignored but maybe it's by non-existent women -- fake profiles, in other words.
I can tell some of the women are not who they say they are. As a professional writer, I can pick out non-native use of English fairly easily. They say they're from Las Vegas or Miami but their usage is distinctly Eastern European. In that same group, several women were much younger than my preferred age range. It seems to happen often. They commonly hide phone numbers in their profiles, asking for texts. I fell for that once but ONLY ONCE!
Is that enough? I feel as if I'm throwing away $60.00 for three months of nothing.
Site has been taken over completely by scammers. They talk a great game, but they are fake. Two of the 7 people that contacted me asked for money. All 7 did not live where their profile said they did-total b.s. Litmus test? Just ask them if you can call them, visit them. They will give you every excuse in the world to keep talking but never arrange to meet. Not sure if it is the owners fault or not; but that doesn't matter. You WILL NOT accomplish what you set to ot think you can on this site! I spent plenty to find out what I just said.
I had been on this site since October of last year, I finally decided to pay for a subscription a week before Christmas. Since then I have had lots of views, likes, mutual likes and only 4 direct messages...all of them say they are interested in chatting and I don't even get started with a conversation before they just ghost, never to be heard from again. I just now may have avoided being romance scammed by a user on this site. I gave her my number and we are texting then I don't hear anything from her for about a week or so then she texts me from a number from Texas. I asked what happened to her other number, says her phone got messed up and has this number. She then asks me to help her with paying for medication, $200, this isn't something a person should be asking straight out the gate when getting to know someone. Scam or not, I don't care anymore, I feel I'm being scammed right now. I wish I can delete this account after cancelling my subscription.
Tip for consumers:
Forgot to mention, all the likes I got I did send messages to them and got nothing
Every single woman who tried connecting with me on this site was a scammer. They lie about their age, where they live and post pictures of someone else.
Below are 2 examples of a fake phots. They are both instagram models.
Edate is phony. Your match criteria aren't respected. There are bunch of bots on Edate: lots of likes to lure you in and then nothing happens and they ignore your responses. I met a lot of genuine girls on
AdultsFinder.club
- they are active in communication and able to hold a conversation. Obviously it's easy to tell they are not chat bots. I have already had one real meeting there. I left Edate since it's so lame and archaic.
By the way, you can't block dodgy users on Edate and you can't make your profile invisible to them. Beware, since there are many scammers there!
I signed up for a 6 month subscription and immediately I start getting likes from females but they all ask the same prearranged questions and if you ask them for a pic they never reply. Considering that they were the ones to initiate the likes first it's very strange. Whomever created this site is brainless. How hard is it to get real girls on a site. Why steal $5 when you can make easily $100. Enjoy my money jackass because that's all you'll ever get from me. It's not hard to recognize immediately that it's all computer generated profiles. Worse dating site ever. They should be banned from the internet.
Worst dating site I've come across. So many to mention but here is the main 1. Most of there filters don't work. For example. I put distance 20 kilometres away and I was still getting profiles from all over the country. Even the contact us login didn't work
I signed up at 1am on Friday night and by Saturday afternoon, I had 100 plus chat requests. My pics are not even live. This screams fishy and after reading the reviews, I am not liking where it may go if I give a credit card. Not a good site for me. Talk and gone not interested in anything to many scripts as you soon find out.
Joined for a month just to ck it out. First 2weeks were fine. Going into my 3rd week. The site would not send me notices and would lock down- couldn't even get to my home page! Also Good Luck contacting them- waste of time and money.
Alan
Do not waste your money; most of the profiles are fake, and when they are real, they want money tons of scammers, a total waste of money.
I joined because I had like 125 likes according to the site, what e pile of $#*!e this site is, photos with the number written on them, most of the women say they are not members, the problem is the site doesn't monitor the members
It is a $#*!fest.
No question just a comment I joined for a 3 day trial I has so many people contacting me I was elated but of the 20 men that I responded all turned out to be scammers...
This is by far THE worst dating site I have been on. I paid for 6 months up front. Right off the bat I was getting likes and getting present icebreakers from plenty of women. I thought wow this is great, that didnt last long.
EVERY single woman who I had a mutual like with I messaged. And not a single one replied. Bear in mind these women liked me first.
This site is complete BS! Do not waste your money!
There really should be some way to get a refund from these scam artists. You have to wonder how they manage to sucker people into using this site. Not that I'm an Adonis, but this must be the collection site for the hideous. Yeesh. And then you get the people that post obvious fake pictures of much younger and attractive people... asking you to text them. The mistake they make is creating separate profiles using the same fake photos. What a waste of time and money.
