We visited Lynton in Devon after looking at the website for the Lynton and Lynmouth Tourist Office Information website.
Based on their advice in the Eating Out in Lynton, Lynmouth and Nearby section we decided to have lunch at the Lacey's Tea Room.
WHAT A DISASTER!
The food at Lacey's Tea Room was some of the WORST we have ever been served in a restaurant and the service was UNBELIEVABLY SLOW!
If you want to enjoy a day out with the family in Lynton and Lynmouth then we strongly advise you to avoid Lacey's Tea Room.

good website. Previous post about Lacey's Tea Rooms is wildly inaccurate - I wonder if it has changed hands maybe? Whatever, six of us went in there on Saturday 28 August 2010 for a cup of tea and ended up eating there. Service was excellent, really friendly and the food was really good value for money and VERY tasty. Side salads were really fresh, big portions of food, our crab cakes were great and the ham egg and chips was massive and it was REAL ham. We give this place 5 stars and will be back!

Has anyone else been with their family to LACEY'S TEA ROOM in Lynton, Devon, and experienced the same DREADFUL SERVICE and FOOD that we experienced?
LYNTON AND LYNMOUTH Tourist Board should be ashamed of themselves for including such an AWFUL RESTAURANT on their website!
In future we will stick to the Restaurants we know in Lynmouth and avoid Lynton like the plague!
