Wow now this is consumer service at it best. I would like to thank Michael Veres for all his work helping me fine the correct part for the 2015 Jeep I needed. Michael understands how frustrating thing can be for someone who doesn't use this system a-lot. He was very helpful and got me the best price. If needed I will be reaching out to Mike again.

This company is a joke. Don't support them. You can't even call them to ask a question (like how long do your cars stay in the lot). You can't email them. Their 800 line is a crock of crap designed to get you to go the website, or sell your car. AVOID THIS COMPANY! Any company that won't even hire customer service to answer basic questions is trying to tell you something- that they suck. Listen to them..

Their 800 line is a crock of crap designed to get you to go the website, or sell your car. AVOID THIS COMPANY! This company is not trusted to do business with bought a motor that was removed and damaged by them they did not repair damage. Contacted them because warranty was purchased they wanted pictures and a written quote emailed all items requested and they did not cover expense's. I will not do business with this company again.

I just bought a $3,000 motor from them and had it put in my car 7 months ago and already had to put it in the shop. Come to find out LKQ sold me a crappy motor and my mechanic said it's fixing to blow and there's no fixing it. Now I'm 5,000 in the hole and stuck with a car I can't even drive. Beyond disgusted

I signed up for the email alerts when a certain model became available...it was a 5th gen ford explorer. I got an email on friday. I went to the website and the photos showed the vehicle was intact. The next day I go to LKQ...the car was picked clean. Nothing but a frame left. The sticker on the vehicle showed it arrived at LKQ over a year ago...never again will I go there.

Selling a car to LKQ is very easy but there are a few things they do not tell you when they quote the value of your car. First, you will be charged for towing a car to their lot if the car is not running and it will come off the initial quote. Second, if your car has any rust on it, that is considered damage and the quoted price will go down depending on how bad the problem is. The overall experience with them was good, not great but served the purpose it was meant to.

I edited this review the first one I wrote was too long and people no longer have the attention span for long drawn out stories. Including myself.
1. I wish I read the reviews before driving across the city to this place
2. They gave me a filthy replacement mirror and I said I don't think I can use this to replace on my lease car so it's likely I will need a refund if so.
3. The refund policy on the receipt is shady (good businesses make it very clear about returns) most places want happy customers that way you have a good experience and come back. This being said I had the service man sign my receipt to be more specific my spidey senses told me to do so. Lol!
4. I have a bad experience returning it I had to call and chase down my money constantly calling I was annoying to myself. I shouldn't have to beg to get my money back. But if I was not persistent who knows how long this could of went on for. I got my refund finally.
5. No I would not recommend this company
6. Oh yeah I purchased a mirror online it came brand new still sealed in a box and $100 less than this company giving me some old crusty thing.

Maybe it depends what you need from them. Shop around !

What's going on with the website, it's not working. This used to be good place, need better,reliable, compassionate employees! I will not return to this establishment, Amazon is my best friend now, parts are cheaper brand new!

Stay faaaar away from them.
Bought a transmission from them. Installed it and had a loud whining noise. Called them for a refund and they made up some bbull$#*! excuse. Now I am down $2000.

I go to Lkq all the time to buy parts. There is a female there that works there. That's always rude even after us that I do not want the guarantee she'll start cussing and giving me these dirty faces into and his route at all times I go there all the time, and I prefer not to go to her register, but to the other one, I think she was a little Hispanic lady. They help me all the time with smiles and always greeted me. It was never rude and this hasn't happened the first time it is all the time, and she talks about inappropriate things to her coworkers, when the customers are right in front of her

Recently purchased front axle assembly from a local yard. It was installed and the first time driving further than a couple miles front end locked up. Took to a shop as instructed by LKQ to determine what was wrong. The front pinion bearing was seized. LKQ provided the shop with another axle which was also damged. They provided another axle assembly and it was installed. This process took over 3 weeks, and when we picked up the vehicle had to pay all the labor for the new install. I was never told I would have to pay for it, I was never contacted by LKQ at all other than to ask where I took it to be checked. I did install the first axle myself, but was not told when I purchased that this would void any type of warranty. I was assured by LKQ that the part would be warrantied by them,

If you purchase from LKQ buyer beware they will cost you more money in the long run.

Worst engine remanufacturer ever. Lifters replaced at 5000 km, still makes noise, burns oil and metal contaminents found in last oil change.

Tip for consumers:
Last time it was it took 3 months to fix the engine. No consideration was made for the inconvenience of being without my vehicle and thay didn't refund me the full cost of the repair even the the engine was defective and lifters were shot at 250 km.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. LANESSA NUNLEY is the worst person to speak with when you are dealing with billing she does not care what you have to say she is no help. This whole company is a huge scam. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE I asked for my full balance in order to close the account had that paid in order to cancelled and all of a sudden I receive another invoice two months later. Apparently it was not included. They definintely lost a loyal customer of 10 years.

I had my transmission replaced at a local shop, with one of theirs as recommended.
The transmission has issues and revs engine real high when switching gears.
Been getting the runaround from them after speaking with auto repair shop who said it is a lifetime warranty.
First it was call here, than here and no this person will assist you...
It's all BS, will advise and follow with another review soon. So far, they seem unlikely to get it repaired.

I ordered a used heater control panel and was told it would be delivered in two days.
Nope. Two weeks later- still no part. Not one phone call on their part. I called every other day…. Excuse after excuse. I finally cancelled the order in frustration. Went on car-part.com and had one ordered and shipped in minutes.

Each and every part has a 30 percent markup at checkout for 'GU' some kind of '90 day guarantee. They also toss in an 'environmental fee' - no specific part, 10% of total costs. I was charged $25 for an 'oil pan' which is a plastic cargo storage container.
$150 in parts, $50 in 'guarantee charges', and $15 'environmental fees', $15 tax. So on top of price gouging for each part that's $150 = $230 - 30% over web site 'prices'.

Thieves, definitely rude, DO NOT SHOP HERE.

Tip for consumers:

I had to pull 3 transmission out cause they where all bad and the warranty starts with the first one I bought so now I'm stuck with the 3rd transmission and going with the same warranty with first one witch is sad I wouldn't recommend transmission there!

I paid 4k for an Audi a4 engine. Bad intake and 3 more other parts were bad on the engine. Every bad review I've read about this company is true. STAY AWAY! PROCEED WITH CAUTION

1st engine failed twice in 1000 miles. Second engine failed within less than 1000 miles. They stated I had the gold warranty and it paid $90 an hour. They only ever paid $50 an hour. They don't communicate with you. The engine was purchased through Jegs. They are equally at fault. You can't even contact that company. Worst mistake I ever made was not reading the reviews. I chose not to even fight for another engine. Because I don't want to go through this again. Just take my losses and move on. Hopefully I can prevent someone from going through this. Don't deal with Jegs or LKQ/ATK

Called customer service to ask what I needed in order to sell car to them. Women was very snappy and hung up on me. Will not be doing business there anymore. Have been in yard a lot of times office people are just as bad.

4th and last time. A couple bad engines and a dropped order with ZERO communication that the part wasn't coming. Last straw? A transmission that was a week late shows up literally rolling around the back of a box truck not tied down to the pallet. Torque converter shaft all dinged up and the case cracked. That's what shows up after almost two weeks. LKQ USED to be the place to go. Now... do yourself a favor and just don't do it. It's just THAT bad these days. They don't check, test or even care.

Tip for consumers:
Don't do it. A little more leg work using others but at least you may get a good part. LKQ seems to no longer check or inspect their products. You'll wait a week or two and you just have to cross your fingers. Not the same LKQ of yester-year. Just not what it used to be by any stretch of the imagination.

I purchased a hybrid battery from LKQ, and they force me to leave a core deposit for $300. My mechanic installed the battery, and the old battery has been at the mechanic shop for ten days waiting for LKQ to pick up the battery. I called multiple times to customer service about the return of my $300, and they keep promising me that they will pick it up the next day. I am like most Americans, I have a budget and I need to use that $300 for other life expenses. Yes, the parts are less expensive as a new part, but they need to greatly improve customer service!

Absolutely the WORST company we have ever dealt with regarding a "return".

On 08/30/2023, I ordered an engine for my son Brandon. The total charge was $3,940.00, which included shipping.

On 09/14/2023, the engine arrived. Before even opening the door on the delivery truck, the driver stated the engine was in pretty rough shape. Once opened, Brandon was appalled at the condition of the engine and refused it. He then received a text verifying the shipment had been cancelled. He then called *******489 about the refused delivery. The rude gal told him he would be credited within 1-2 days.

In reading the "Returns and Refunds" policy regarding "Refused Shipments", it states to allow up to 14 business days.

On 10/04/2023 I checked his credit card balance, which was 15 business days after the refused shipment date. The credit had NOT been applied back to his credit card, so I called LKQ online again! I was told the credit had been initiated and he would be receiving the credit within 4-5 business days.

Once again I check his credit card account for the credit on 10/11/2023. STILL NO CREDIT!

I then call AGAIN on 10/11/2023. I asked for a manager. She tells me I cannot speak to a manager as there are NONE available and she would have to put in a request which would take up to 48 hours. I told her to do that (which is ridiculous).

Well on 10/13/2023, I check his credit card balance AGAIN and guess what, THERE STILL IS NO CREDIT! AND NO CALL BACK FROM A MANAGER!

How the hell are you still in business? Oh, wait, I know! It is because you rip people off! You sell garbage and you don't refund the money!

I have contacted the bank and have provided them with all of the documentation and have filed a dispute.

You really are a pitiful, $#*! laced company!

Specifically the Erdman Ave yard. The cashier was extremely rude and had absolutely no customer service skills. She charged us a 90 dar warranty fee on an armrest, mirrors and then charged us for the rim and tire when the tire was clearly sliced and there are no signs saying anything about removing the tire. I assumed that it was not necessary being as though it was sliced completely. After inspection of the reciept she removed the 90 day warranty fee which was a quarter of the bill itself but refused to take the 22 dollar fee of the sliced tire off. She and her manager stated that since they removed the warranty 10 seconds before then it was "company policy" that they rip us off for the tire. And the "environmental fee". What is this? They didn't dispose of anything so that's just to pay the rude cashier I assume.
