“My second purchase went much better than the first one last yr”

Eileen B.
10/17/23

I bought my 2nd auction and like it very much. This time I went to location and picked up the stuff, and the people working in loading dock area were very nice. I am happy to say that I will buy from Liquidation.com again. This auction consisted of Lowe's returned items. Most items are in good condition and the few that products that are broken can be expected when buying store returns. Now to reflect on last yr's auction - I think it is important for people to know that I strongly believe that my first auction (huge, 8 pallets), still deserves the 1star rating that I gave it because so much of it was missing. In comparison, this current auction was just 2 pallets and I received everything, which is why it gets a 4star rating. I like the surprise that comes from buying miscellaneous store returns and shelf-pulls, so I will most likely buy more from this site going forward knowing that it is fun but not necessarily an honest site.

I won an auction on 2024-02-12 for 10K$. They state as: TRUCKLOAD Appliances - iRobot Roomba, Miele, Shark, Neato, Ecovacs, Dyson - MSRP $114,474. Condition:Returns All packages we received are salvaged, none of them working, they don't look like return items, most likely picked up from the garbage recycle center.

This site has degraded into what it seems mostly a site for Amazon to get rid of their junk. I used to buy lots and lots from this site, some Amazon and others. Product was shipped fairly quick and mostly accurate. Recently I just wasted my time with a Amazon shelf pull auction. I got a good deal and there were no other bidders. After waiting a week and the pallet had not been shipped (I paid promptly) I called and was told Amazon has up to a month to ship my product! WHAT...any way I waited...and then today the order was cancelled with no reason. I called Liquidation and talked to a drone that really was useless just said it was cancelled. I noted to the "Rep" that in my observation most of these Amazon auctions ended in ZERO bids, asked her why...no response. My guess is this is the status quo for these auctions, someone else thought that if they did not get enough from the auction they just cancelled. Probably what happened here...in ending this site has turned into a JOKE and I will stay away...ps I had to give one star to participate in the review, I have been selling on internet sites for 23 years, If I could I would give ZERO stars...Have a Good Day!

I purchased a pallet from Liquidation.com. Paid for shipping to Alberta. When it arrived, it wasn't the pallet I bought. I, immediately called customer service and followed all requests of photos and a manifest of the pallet I received. The pallet sat in my warehouse untouched for weeks, until eventually they emailed me back saying I had to ridiculously open every single box on video and email them the videos... I gave them their own skus, lot numbers, pallet numbers, photos AND eventually figured out on my own, how they sent me the wrong pallet. But they closed my case and said no matter what I do, it's unlikely they'll reopen it! Like... excuse me? I'm a business! I did everything they asked, immediately and then they come back asking something that doesnt even make any sense... what would opening the boxes do? I didnt print my own "liquidation.com" stickers and magically came up with all their warehouse, pallet and item numbers! Not to mention they only gave me 24 hours to perform this ridiculous task of opening every box on video. After having all the necessary information they needed to rectify the situation.

I'm a big auction house and Liquidation store. As a first time buyer from this company, it will also be my last. I will also spread the word of how they operate.

100% a scam. Highly do NOT recommend.

They once had legitimately good items for sale at good wholesale prices in quantity that could be refurbished and re-sold by repair shops. Not any more. Most decent items are onesy-twosy from repair shops at full retail or even higher prices. A 12 year old MacBook for over $800?

Even in the past, you had to be wary of scam sellers and Liquidation.com would never back you up. I'm talking sellers who ship a pile of laptops with zero packing material in a thin cardboard box so all you receive is a box of salvage. Also, horrible with some sellers who would sell stuff far more damaged than their crappy photos showed, and of course Liquidation.com gives no recourse.

And now, today, I found out that they will deactivate your account and charge you a $200 fee for reactivation if you do not pay for an auction within TWO BUSINESS DAYS AFTER AUCTION CLOSE.

Liquidation.com in 2024 is useless.

Tip for consumers:
Every time I've contacted their service, they seem to be a very small operation that doesn't really know what they are doing. Twice I had to fight with them about their attempts to charge us for shipping a 2 pound laptop on a full sized wooden pallette, adding $100 to the cost that should have been about $20 max.

My auction had a manifest with many patio sets and many other Home Depot returns products. I received only 1 patio set. I opened a dispute and reply is it can take up to 10 days. I don't know yet if they will do anything but so far the delivered items, although all in good shape, do not add up to what I was expecting. All the high value items were not sent to me.

WORST. SCAM. It's like they are reprinting shipping labels and repackaging garbage. Luckily I did a small amount. 25 packages. But that set me back $177. It was absolutely rubbish. Nothing had any paperwork in them so I know it's bs. It was old yard sale leftovers. Smelled like cigarette smoke. Nothing I could use or even sell. It's what u do s outside a red box. So bad that ppl would be embarrassed to drop it off to donate in person.

I have picked up over 150K in merchandise over the last 2 months and I continue to be overwhelmed by the amazing customer service, quality of products, and ease of use. People need to understand this isn't a guarantee that every item will be in perfect condition. If you don't have the money to assume at 10-15% loss due to damage then you might want to reassess your business model. Thank you to everyone that helps make this company possible.

Don't buy TVs
I bought 5 TVs of which 4 came out with a broken screen, I made my corresponding claim and they sent me an email saying
" 0.2 Assets. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing in a Listing, if you purchase Assets or place bids on or submit AN OFFER ON OR order Assets, you agree to accept such Assets AS IS, WHERE IS AND WITH ALL FAULTS."
It is with all the fraud of selling something that they know is broken. How miserable they can be.

This company sells damaged television sets and when you dispute the transaction with them they do absolutely nothing. They even had written on the tvs they were good but both was damaged. I spend almost $700 for those tvs. They sold me a personal care pallet with over 65 percent of the merchandise expired. I spent over $700 for that expired pallet. Don't buy from them. If I could give them a zero review I would. They are awful.

Tip for consumers:
Liquidation.com is a crappy company that sells expired and damaged merchandise to consumers and when you dispute the transactions with them they deny your claims. And they know that they are selling damaged and expired merchandise before they sell it to you

I am not much of a person to review anything I have ever purchased. This time around I needed to do so. For the first time after much watching videos on how to resale items. I figured I'd give this a try. I did not bother to go on google and read reviews. I trusted the company and placed orders. I started to receive my boxes. All measured what was stated. Except 2 boxes. I ordered 59qty of Wholesale Packages Merchandise Returns, Lost Mail, Undelivered Post - worth $5,000.00 (because you cannot sell anything less of value of that amount / total). When I opened the boxes the items were not lost mail, merchandise returns or wholesale packages. It was "PRODUCE PRODUCTS". The picture and quantity did not match what I received. I contacted them and I was told to file a dispute. That it will take 10 days to resolve. They asked for a video (I had to film and post a video on youtube for them as requested. I sent them the link. This was necessary because they needed to see what I had received. They asked me to take the items out of the box. I filmed 2 boxes. Which there was a label with a barcode outside the box stating what the items were inside and qty. I sent them the link) - I received a response to reply of the qty I had delivered once again. I knew then, my leg was being pulled. They saw it on the video. I called again. Was advised that it takes 10 business days for a resolution. I waited. Yesterday was the 10th day and my dispute was declined! It states that it is unknown what the packages have inside and there is no guarantee of what is inside the packages; (this is BS) because the box clearly states whats inside of the box and there are like 3 labels below mine. For then this box has been around. I lost this Auction at the end because they took my money and did not care about my situation with seller: surplusandreturns. The seller should take responsibility for ones action because description shown is not what I got. I received EXPIRED PRODUCE! My final and best advise - purchase else where! Stay away from these people! - God Bless

Was interested in buying pallets of goods to flip. Figured I'd toss a few hundred at it, $500 to be approximate. Did not turn out well. Every single item on the pallet, not listed at all in the manifest as having issues, was missing parts, if they weren't missing parts, they were simply broken. I basically paid $500 to remove this companies trash. Please don't waste your money. It's a scam.

Tip for consumers:
Please don't waste your money. I gave it a shot. Complete waste of time and money. Luckily I have the disposable income to blow. If you don't, pls save your cash.

Their website is not set up well to educate first time customers. In order to be informed about all their policies (at least the ones that are disclosed) you pretty much have to scan page by page and even then you still won't know everything you need before making a purchase. You must set up a payment before placing a bid rather than simply before paying for merchandise. The vaguely referenced combined shipping is not likely to happen. You have to call and speak to a representative. The odds of that happening without waiting forever or just being told that someone will have to call you back are slim to none. Given that they start charging late fees for nonpayment before customers are likely to straighten out a combined shipping plan, it could be construed as misleading, not financially advantageous at best. I think how customers fare with the merchandise itself really depends on the seller. Thoroughly reading the ratings is a smart move to get an idea of other buyer experiences. The same applies to the listings. If you only read the title there's a good chance you will get burned. They finally stopped allowing Amazon returns to be listed as new, but there are a lot of listings that are not manifested and/or vaguely worded. As with the entire industry there are problems with lot conditions (I doubt there is a single wholesaler willing to sell smaller lots that doesn't mingle damages and returns with new merchandise), inflated manifests, and the occasional full on con. Not the worst company out there, but hardly the best. Personally, I don't feel that there is a lot of hands on management, at least not in a timely manner, the same for communication, and they are not very forthcoming about policies and procedures. I closed my account (they wouldn't delete all my information upon request) after two purchases. I feel that there are better options.

Tip for consumers:
It might be smarter to stay away from auctions as a new customer. After bidding on only two auctions, I was cut off until I made a payment. Kind of defeats the purpose of trying to get a combined shipping discount.
BTW to the mods, I was going to upload a receipt for verification of purchase, but it seems like it might end up being posted so you might consider making that a bit more clear.

Bid on and won a pallet of what was listed as over 21,000.00 in shelf pulls, when I got the invoice the shipping was almost 5 times my 450.00 bid. And if that wasn't bad enough when I received the pallet, there were items missing, and all the candy was old and melted. They will give you the run around when you file a claim. My advice stay clear of this rat hole.

Tip for consumers:
Customer service will try to give you the run around, and will never give you a straight answer

I placed my first order with Liquidation in May of 2023 for a used lot of brand name dresses, 30 total, for $299. Shipping was ridiculous at $140 for two small boxes, but I decided to try anyways. Boxes arrived and clothes looked nothing like the stock photos on the site AND had pit stains, deodorant stains, and BLOOD in one of the dresses….a lot. Looked as if a woman started her period in it.

I immediately called Liquidation customer service and a woman was very apologetic and said that for a refund that I needed to start a dispute with my bank as it was paid by wire transfer, and that they would approve it when it came through and she would put a note in for me. While I waited, I took a chance on another order. Much less. I tracked it all the way up to delivery day and when delivery was on my street, it was sent back due to being damaged. I have received many damaged packages before so this shipment had to be gnarly.
Almost 3 months later, I am finally updated through my bank, who says that Liquidation refused my refund. I, again, contact Liquidation. The dispute team gets back to me and asks for photos/ video of each piece and for me to respond within 24 hours or my claim would be null. After much back and forth, they cite their policy saying that I needed to let them know about the condition of the shipment within 3 days of receiving it and they denied my claim. Are you kidding me? YOU sent me a box with blood and bodily fluids in dresses. EVERY piece is contaminated!

I was refunded the second shipment as it was "damaged" to begin with. I have been consistent and sent plenty of pictures of nasty dress conditions to them to support my claim. I thought that I was patiently giving Liquidation time to respond to my bank's claim and they had the audacity to give me 24 HOURS to respond. My story didn't change. This is a true and honest experience. I will never buy from them again and will warn everyone against buying from them. I wish that I had gotten the woman's name originally from my first customer service call but expected Liquidation to make it right. Now I will have to contact the investigation division of my bank. I'm more than happy to send contaminated boxes back to this company. Disgusting. I should have paid attention to their 1 star reviews.

I ordered leggings on June 5th and they didn't ship for over a week later after I had to contact Liquidation.com. Then they shipped the next day. Once I received them I started to open them up and realized how nasty they were and they sent me all smalls. The picture clearly stated Small to X-Large. The tags say One Size Fits all. Once again that is a lie, they are all smalls. I am attaching some pictures of the nasty leggings. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! IT IS A SCAM! If I could give a zero I would!

I have bought quite a few lots and I have been disappointed every time. This will be my last time purchasing from this site. I bought the lot because it had mostly wireless headsets. Everyone of them were broken which means they all should have been in the salvage section. That was $900 down the drain. I won the bid on the wall chargers. I thought they were regular size they turned out to be mini wall chargers. I could understand if a few are broken but can be fix. Almost every item was broken. I am sure every company has an inspection department that look at items when they are returned and no what can and cannot sale. This company is a rip off. I work hard for my money and this company is selling damaged goods and advertising them wrong. Which should require a refund when you deliberately sale items that are broken. Don't buy the shelf pulls they will send you old items that didn't sale 4 years ago. Just beware, they will never respond to your complaint.

Tip for consumers:
Just know that they only want your money and will not rectify the poor product sales.

I bid on a lot of 22 packages (returns, lost mail, etc...). I paid a total of $271 out the door. The box arrived busted and the UPS guy told me he had to tape the box when he loaded it on his truck. He wasn't sure if anything was missing. I opened the box and there were 21 packages so I was missing one. I filed a complaint and sent pics of the busted, taped up box and told them I was missing a package. I guess it didn't help that I told them it was all junk. Ninety percent of the items were cheap Temu stuff they put in Walmart packages and claimed it was returns. The items didn't even have manufacture labels. Long story short I was refused the package that I was missing. Save your money and stay away.

I have had a few transactions with this company. Like the other posters said be very careful what you bid on. I bought some new amateur radios and they were just as described. I was pleased. Then I went out on the limb and spent over 3 grand for a new "open box" lot. Well there was a lot of good things but a lot of junk too. First, two of the 5 featured items were not even in there. Simply it was worth about half of what I paid. I put in a dispute. I have never dealt with a more unhelpful, rude customer service department ever. They send form emails, they do not answer the phone. Just terrible. I won my dispute but it took way over a month. I only won because the auction description was listed as new. So my advice is to never buy anything but new, name brand surplus.

This guy sends "undeliverable packages" from USPS and UPS. But it literally is a $200-$300 turd in a box. Some of the items didn't even have return labels on them, they were just in bags. I spent about $200 on forty some items and they are items you would buy at Dollar General or would buy in a garage sale. This guy sucks! Buyers beware
