Purchased a Lenovo S90 mobile phone from LITB. Phone arrived a little later than advertised so wrote to them. They promptly replied and offered me a US$10 voucher in return. Good start.
When I had ordered the phone I had paid for the 'Customs & Taxes' cover, think it cost circa EUR 10. When the phone arrived here in Italy the customs charged me circa EUR 40. I send a copy of the customs receipt to LITB who then reimbursed me the full EUR 40.
Phone was greaat, as expected. Unfortunately it inexplicably died after a few months. It was still under Guarantee so I tried to have Lenovo Europe fix it. They responded that the guarantee does not cover the phone I bought as it is not sold in Europe. Pretty $#*!ty from Lenovo.....not impressed with their customer service either. Anyway, thought I was done for as you'd expet that the manafacturer should fix such problems. Thought I'd wrtie to LITB as a last ditch hope to help me. I explained to them the problem, and that Lenovo wouldn't help. LITB responded within the day and offered me the guts of a full refund. they send me details of how to resend the procudct to them, and kept me updated on its arrival, and then the refund being put back on my credit card.
To summise. Amazing customer service from LITB, very impressed, and would gladly recommend to friends. Lenovo phone was great, until it died............still not sure what happened, but thanks to LITB I've been able to replace the phone.
I had no idea this website was overseas. I thought it was just another international company that sold items at very cheap prices. After placing an order, I began browsing through the site and began to realize what was really going on. This is a stupid, Chinese company. After the children prepare your order in the sweatshop, they pack it up and ship it off...Maybe. I paid an extra 12 bucks for faster shipping. It said my package would arrive in 3-5 business days. It's been 23 business days and still nothing. There's no tracking number for my package. Their site is saying my packing hasn't even left the warehouse yet. Do not ever buy anything from here or you will regret it. I've tried canceling my order with no luck. Basically I just gave them $50 for nothing. Also, be aware: I've read reports that this site steals credit card information. I've read other reviews of people having absurd charges on their cards shortly after ordering from this site. I haven't experienced that yet but I'm waiting for that to happen.
I ordered 2 pairs of shoes from them. I had to pay £15.00 duty which I was not expecting. When I opened the parcel I was really disappointed at the poor quality. I sent them back straight away and paid a further £10 on postage. The shoes cost £24 for both. I have paid more in duty and returns. This was back in July and still waiting for my refund. It is now October! There is no contact details or any way I can get in touch. I can not recommend this shoddy company.
Worst possible company to do business with. Untrustworthy. Order placed in July still not received. Parcel apparently lost in post! Untraceable parcel in fact!! Parcel resent still not received. Now told undeliverable and I need to start searching post office unknown to find half the order. Apparently other half still on route! Parcel to no where! What a disappointment! Hardly gives me confidence as to the content when and if it finally arrives! What a disaster! Rather give your money to a worthy charity than use this mail order company!!! I wonder how far I will progress in getting my refund!
The delivery was on time, and the items were of good quality. I got a short winter jacket, two shirts and a winter hat. None of them had any defects, which I was pleasantly surprised.
My friend had her order delayed and she had to wait another 15 days, but the items were fine for her as well. Coming from China, the customs were also problematic in this delay.
Overall I am satisfied, the zippers, linings and quality of material are good, and after wearing it for a while everyday last winter, I was happy there was no wear and tear.

Ordered goods on 4th August, they didn't ship them until 2nd September. Its now 25/09 and I have received nothing. Sadly for them though im their worst nightmare I have contacted a television show about scammers. I have emailed them 3 times in the hour and have promised to put negative reviews on their website daily, even more if I can. I don't think ill ever receive my order to be honest. Please don't waste your money with them.
It took a month for me to receive my package. They do not have any kind of contact number or customer service number. The only way of reaching out to them is to make a "ticket" which they will respond to over the Internet. It really doesn't matter if they do because I found that you cannot cancel your order once it is shipped (even if it is a MONTH late) and it would be more expensive to ship the package back to China than it would be to just keep the terrible clothing. They also claim to have no control of the package once it reaches the United States. I finally received my package and was further disappointed to find the clothing cheap and poorly put together. The dimensions (sizes) they post on their website were no where near what it turned out to be. The fabric is awful and couldn't ever pass as the amount I paid for it. I will NEVER use this site again. I have not heard of one person having a good experience.
I've had a nightmare of a time with my order. To cut a long story short my order has been in processing for over a week. No confirmation email received although they were sure quick to take my $140. When I requested a refund they conveniently told me that it had been shipped the day before even though it didn't show that today.
The only way to contact them to complain is through social media, although they hide your complaints so potential business isn't affected obv. Other than that you can get a 'help' ticket only by requesting a refund.

I'm resorting to site jabber because I cannot find ANY link to contact customer service at lightinthebox for my three orders I have placed. Would a representative from lightinthebox please contact me via email. I'm getting desperate to fix issues on my order. My daughter's wedding is approaching fast and I need to fix there orders.
Has anyone actually been able to receive any items? I am going on 1 1/2 months with nothing. Partial refund credit for the delay with a guarantee that my items would be here on 9/5/2015...9/17/2015 and I am trying to cancel my order.
Don't be tempted to buy from this company. You don't get what you see. They use other companies product and they try to imitate when they have a request for it. The material is cheap and transparent, stiching is really bad, sizes are 3 sizes lower than the average.
When you return their items though they acknowledge receipt of it but they will not refund you!
I have an ongoing problem. Because i tried to resolve it directly with this company like I was advised by Paypal, I did what the seller asked me to. I.e. Send items cheapest way so that they can refund me the postage. Always go through paypal and not with the seller directly. NEVER. This company will fool you around.
Lightinthebox, is a BAD company. They are dishonest. And it takes them over a month to send your order.
There is no complaint procedure. They don't have telephone number to talk to anyone. Once they close your case there is no otherway to communicate to resolve the problem.
Stay away from this company! They are crooks!
I ordered a dress for my son's wedding, actually two dresses.. One I ordered a year ago and then another in August because the first had gotten smaller, or I got bigger. I decided to cancel the second dress within a day or so only to be told the day I ordered a custom made dress that it had been shipped. Back and forth for days until they wouldn't stop making the dress and shipped it anyway.
I am still trying to get them to tell me how to send this dress back but keep getting the run-around. The first dress ordered did fit for the wedding but 1 5min. into the wedding I heard a "rip" and noticed the top had ripped from the bottom at the waist. I hadn't done anything but get in a car and walk to the venue and it had ripped and appeared it had only been basted together because white thread was showing and the dress was a navy one.
The mother of the bride also had a terrible experience with this company. When she took it out of the box to try it on she saw that they had forgotten to sew one side of the zipper to the dress. She has been able to get her money refunded but I'm still arguing with them.
I want full refund for the second dress since I cancelled long before they began making it and there is no reason they should have continued making it.
My suggestion, do not EVER buy from Light in the Box unless you have money to throw away on what turns out to be shoddy merchandise.
I had placed a order, everytime i would check on my status it had said sent, BUT in real fact it was a month going onto 2 with no contact OR item, i decided to handle my dispute with paypal and OFCOURSE got the item that was NOT the sizing i wanted quality was awful.

I truly don't understand how this site gets any good reviews. My experience was horrific. First they didn't ship my order until a week after receiving payment. Then it took over a month to get the shipment. I ordered three dresses sized 3X for my friend's daughter. She actually wears a 2X, but after reading the reviews, I realized I should order a size up, as the clothing ran small. Well, the dresses didn't come close to fitting her. I figured I would use the dresses myself, since I wear between a large and extra large. I couldn't get these dresses on at all! We ended up giving the dresses to her younger sister, who wears a medium, and they fit, but snugly. I felt so taken.
Took weeks to deliver my order - with no advice as to when the order was dispatched nor any idea of a delivery date. When my order arrived, I had to pay an extra £27 delivery charge (even though I'd already paid a shipping fee when I originally ordered). When I went back to the company to ask about this & obtain a refund for the extra charge, they said it was for 'taxes' which they were unable to estimate in advance. I have paid well over what I was expecting to pay and the quality of the items was lower than expected. Take care with ordering from this company!
Absolutely horrible company! I wish I would have read some reviews before I placed an order.
Fortunately it was a small item, but I ordered it on July 30,2015 and inquired why I hadn't heard anything on Aug 25.
They stated that were out of stock and would ship as soon as possible and it should be 1-2 more weeks.
Now they are showing that it has been delivered, but I do not have it.
Now it may be another 1-2 weeks. They are telling me if I don't receive it by Oct. 3 they will try and track it for me.Really?

Ok so I placed an order with this company on Aug 1 and items all stated in stock & ships in 24hours... well today is Sept 9 and I STILL have NOT received my items. However, I was charged for these items right away... yet still nothing. I emailed them 2+ weeks ago to ask about it & they gave me some run around about the whole deal & said it would be shipped by Sept 8 and gave me a $4 credit for future purchase. Well I contacted them again today because my status never changed yesterday & they basically gave me more bull and said they can't give me an actual date but will give me a 10% off for next time?!?! Are you kidding, I will never buy from you ever again! Steer clear, website item look amazing & so much cheaper for good stuff, but its just that a JOKE, a SCAM, a GIMMICK!!!!! DO NOT BUY....EVER!!!!
I ordered five items from Light in the Box. Each item was shipped from a different location. I received a flat metal dish rack with silicone ends, and the silicone color was faded, as if it was either very old or had been in excessive heat. I received "chiffon" women's clothing, which was cheaply sewn out of very thin fabric, in addition to which I should have apparently ordered THREE sizes up from my American size (instead of two). I threw these items in the trash, as they were too cheesy to donate.
I ordered 2 light fittings from this site. One a replica tom dixon which we loved and the other I returned. The return was hassle free and I had to research couriers as the post office was a nearly the cost of the light. The customer service I received from Light in the Box was excellent.
Perhaps the most horrific on line shopping experience I have had. Be weary, as you cannot return items that do not fit and I was charged an additional 30.00 from DHL. I was told this charge was incurred because the items had to go through customs. There is NO ONE to talk to to ask questions and resolve issues. The only customer service is email and the responses are "pre-made." In the end, I was stuck with 3 dresses that do not fit, as the sizes are super small ! I lost 254.00 in addition to an extra 30.00. Lesson learned. I will never purchse from this web site again.
They will end up scamming you if you run into a problem such as your item didn't arrive or your refund didn't arrive. No one you can talk to for resolution. They will send you robot emails suggesting you contact your bank or wait another month. I have waited 40 + business days for a refund on two returned items which they did receive and process. Still nothing.
I ordered two bathing suits my payment went through on June 29 .... of course they did take my money. It's the 29th of august and I never received any product. It's b/s they took my money and it's been 2 months not 10 to 20 business days like they promised.
I ordered a laptop case on August 9th and have received no further information on it. The website says 6-8 days shipping but maybe it meant months? My package is still "processing" and I am very unhappy, very. If I ever do get my package that will be the last time I order from them.
Do not buy from this company they are totally awful and lie about the whole process of receiving your order in the given time. If my order ever does get delivered it will be 2 months late. This company is into fraud plain and simple. I ordered three items and still have not received them to date. The order was supposed to ship since the 8th August and I was told by the manager Tim that the order would be shipped on the 23rd August instead. I realized that I was not getting any response on the status of the order and I again asked the same manager Tim about the order for which he said it would be shipped on the 31st August. I found this to be ridiculous as I paid for expedited shipping with this company. I asked for a refund and the company said they would refund the money but this was only after I wrote up a negative review about the company. The company informed that they would be refunding me the money to my credit card account however I informed that I had closed off that account and as such the money could not be refunded to that account. I submitted another account for the refund to the same manger Tim and he later informed me that based on international policy they could not send the money back to any other account than that of the account for the credit card. This is nonesense as another company had refunded me my money using the new account so i know that the company is lying and is into fraud and seeking to scam clients out of their money. I am therefore writing to warn all customers not to shop with this company as they are into fraud.
Made a small purchase on 5th may 2015 did not receive even though they said was shipped. Thinking maybe lost in mail and was not an expensive item ordered and paid again on 2nd august 2015 account still showing not shipped almost 3 weeks later.

I was very unhappy when I received the wedding bouquet for my bridesmaid.It had very few flowers in it and was cheaply made and smaller than I thought. It took a long time to arrive and I'm afraid if I send it back I won't get another in time,so I'm just going to try to make it look better by adding more flowers.
I ordered a bridesmaid dress about 8 weeks before my sister's wedding and with no previous knowledge how many of the China sites send totally wrong stuff, I just thought I had found a great deal. Well, I did find a great deal, and MORE! I paid for custom sizing, rush shipping, and it arrived as promised, and SO well made, I honestly was in shock. The dress was fully lined, boning in the bodice, a strap underneath the bra line to help hold up the strapless dress. I also needed no alterations whatsoever. It was perfect! I can't wait to order my wedding dress from them!

It took a month to deliver, poor quality and wrong product, difficult to contact and I had to pay half cost of products for import tax.
the tracking info provided doesn't work. When trying to contact the helpdesk to get a status update you end up in a vicious circle. NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM.
Before you order something - see if you can find helpdesk info. Case not - question your self if you want to take the risk. I hope I get my stuff but will never order here again.
PS: it is also turning out to be extremely tough to get rid of their SPAM mails!
I feel very sorry for those who have had a bad experience with L I T Box but the items I ordered came and were exactly like the pictures shown online, the quality was fine and they were all quite well packed too. Yes the waiting time is a few weeks so have to be patient. The prices were good as they were in the sale so I cannot understand why things are going so wrong for some customers. I did contact them to ask a question about a return dress which was too small ( their sizing seems to be tiny as I am usually a size 12 in U.K but in their sizing, from reading their size charts I needed XL ) so I re ordered after returning the small dress and they agreed to refund me. About 7/10 days later the new one arrived. I found the customer service very polite and they answered pretty quickly once I had worked out where to go to send my message and then where to find the replies from them. I would order again. I hope you unlucky ones can get your issues resolved soon... good luck. Lynda

I am very disappointed with this sites lack of customer service. They should be required to state on their site an ordering page so that consumers know they don’t have a customer service to take care of their orders if there are problems. I ordered a dress and several other items I needed for a beach wedding and photo shoot this weekend. I paid for expedited shipping & paid through paypal. Everytime I checked online for my order it kept saying “Pending” but without any explanation or link to follow up on. I contacted customer service several times to find out what pending meant and what the status of my expedited order was, I never received an email or phone call from their company regarding any problems with the order and I only received a couple of generic replies to my service requests that gave directions on how to check the order online, which is what I had been doing without any notifications or reasons for delay from the company and with absolutely no way to contact the company by phone to talk to someone even though their site states there are reps in 27 different languages to help. Well, I never received any help from the company on my order and I needed it today! I also gave my complete phone number twice to my customer service inquiries and asked that someone please call me so I could find out what to do & no one called ever! Today I logged on and someone on their site changed the pending to pending with a question mark that when I dragged over it said payment incomplete. Now, I never received any notice from paypal that there was a problem or from the company, so there was nothing I could do to take care of it in a timely manner. Basically, this shows they do not have a true customer service department or follow through with request from customers to explain the problem or even call since they do not provide any type of a phone number for customers to call. All consumers should be made aware of this type of service so they can fully understand they will not be able to contact the company for help or receive a direct reply for help on orders, this is quite different from most online companies, so they should make this information known on their site so people know when they are ordering they will not be able to speak with anyone, or even get a direct reply in email at the very least!
My dauhgter bouhgt a bag from this site. She used my card and the Company took their Money and we didnt even get an order sent to my mail adress. I cant do anything without the order ID. I can just see that they got their money, my daughter got Nothing...
I have used lit over about 6 Years to buy fashion items (mainly formal) for delivery to Australia and over that time have found them a reliable supplier. On the one occasion I had a problem (what colour is "regency" anyway) their customer service was contact able and fixed the problem to my satisfaction. Quality of their sewing is good on tailored items. Not so sure about their down market end which they have moved into recently and which seems to sell the same cheap and nasty stuff available on 100 other websites. 2 points - don't blame the maker exporter if your country slugs you for import duty/get/vat. And it seems to have fairly expensive shipping on a $200 dress but will ship a $20 for free, doesn,t make sense to me.
I ordered some stuff from LITB, but the swedish post lost the package.
When i called the swedish post, they confirmed to me that the package was lost, and told me that the sender must do the reclamation.
When i contacted LITB i just got the answer "Im pleased to tell you that you package has arrived to your country, please contact you local post for delivery, if the package is lost please contact us again"
Becuase the swedish post has confirmed to me that the package is lost (i told LITB that in the first mail too) i responded that the package is lost, then i just got the same response as before. Now i have responded like 5 times and has like 5 responses back to me with the same message,,,, How hard can it be to understand that the swedish post has lost the package?!!!!!!!????
