When my laptop screen cracked, I thought I would have to buy a new laptop because I have a 17" and I was afraid I couldn't get a replacement screen. I was pleasantly surprised when the box with my customer's screen arrived. Not only was it very well packaged and protected, but it included a toolkit for the installation which I did not expect. When my customer backed out of my doing the installation, I called LaptopScreens and they gracefully sent me to their website which contained easy instructions for acquiring an RMA and returning the screen and toolkit in the original. I have to have that toolkit so I'll order one for myself at a very reasonable price.

Once I got my payment figured out with the help of a courteous professional, the delivery happened very speedily. A lot quicker than I thought it would since I live in Japan, and have an APO address. I got my screen and everything went smoothly from there. Video instructions on the website are simple and short. In fact, I'm on my newly fixed laptop right now, and I'm proud to say that i fixed it myself.

I had bad luck with this provider. I ordered two screens and both were low quality. One came already broken in the box visibly damaged on the exterior, and the other one had a black shadow on the upper right corner. Once I installed it I noticed the screen wouldn't fit properly on the right side it was a bit bulkier than left side. Trying to adjust it and slightly push it to the left, with the softest of fingers, and the crystal snapped... (not even 100 grams of pressure using soft material to maximize surface area) unbelievable... Also light and quality were a bit worse than default screen. Both screens, between the overprice, the shipping (28€) and a SURPRISE customs payment I had to make because they don't declare any tax on the price of the product (29€ first time and 38€ second time), I could have bought a new laptop. I have no doubt others have a good experience, mine was just bad...

I bought a replacement screen for a Sony Vaio laptop from this website. The price was great, it arrived within three days, and was well packaged in perfect condition. Everything went as expected on an on line sale! I did have two recommendations for those who plan to make an order:

1. If your screen type has two version, right and left hand cord, be sure to click on the screen picture on the left side of the screen which will show how they determine left and right. To my surprise the cord placement is based on looking at the back of the screen.

2. If you took care of item 1, you won't need item 2, which is they also have patch cables that reverse the cord placement if you order the wrong screen. My gripe is that they insure this low value shipment and require a signature on delivery. This approximately tripled the price of the cord.
