I use Spy Hunter from Iomatic. One day they auto-renew and force me pay for System Medic which I never order. Lkie this: SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION Duration: 12 Months Billing Frequency: Not Applicable Renewal Option: Automatic; renews into System Medic at $29.95 per quantity after 12 months Expiration Date: 6/23/2017 OK, I will try it. But unable to use. The password did not work. I try to talk with them. The last response I got from them in Aug. 13 is this one and quiet again. Hi, I apologize for the poor responses. I have been away from my desk for a while and my only way to respond to these emails is through my phone, which has spotty Internet connection. I will refund your order and will cancel your auto renewal. Thank you. Warm Regards, Jennifer

Still trying to cancel a supposed subscription 2 years later. You get the usual banal automatic responses then no action. I went on their site and some crowd called emetrix handle their invoicing. When I try to call up my order number it does not exist. Then I send them a mail on their web form and it gets bounced with the address not found. Am now doing like the previous reviewer and cancelling my credit card number! They won't be able to contact me again. Piece of their own medecine... At least I bought registry mechanic so it was my fault!

I am having the same problem with iomatic. Wrote this Emetrix company asking for a refund and to take me off of the automatic renewal list. We will have to see what happens. This autoamtic renewal way of doing busisness is just plain wrong. The whole system they have set-up traps the consumer. Cant get a hold of anyone, automatic renewals, not asking the consumer for their authorization the list continues. Stay away in my opinion.

Yet another story of online fraud. I have purchased software named Spyhunter, online about an year ago from www.enigmasoftware.com and certainly not from www.iomatic.com. Surprise, surprise I receive a thank you e-mail:

Thank you for purchasing Registry Medic renewal.
This purchase entitles you to an entire year of free upgrades.
……….
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
Thank You,
Iomatic
http://www.iomatic.com

I shrug the e-mail but did not delete it. Then by routine check of my credit card activities I see a charge of $29.95 done by the www.iomatic.com for the renewal of software I have never downloaded from anywhere.

So I do not hesitate and contact them by the only means thru their web site (there is no phone number) and did not get any respond or explanation of the charges made to my credit card and how I could ever stop this automatic renewal.

I have already called the credit card and disputed the charge. The credit card representative wanted to solve the matter on the spot but apparently he hit a hard spot trying to contact them and let the things for latter. I requested replacement of the card with a new number at least to avoid the spread of the issue. No one knows who sells your information to whom nowadays.

This is for now. I hope the dispute will be in my favor. In between I have red many negative reviews for the www.iomatic.com (registry medic software).

Purchasing online will remain insecure no matter how many zillion legitimate transactions are going on as we speak.
