I only started shopping on line in the last 3 months, in this time i have ordered and received 18 items all of which were delivered in the time frame quoted. I did have to call customer services twice, once re a pair of boots which were to big, as idid not want to pay for delivery on my re order, they emailed me a free postage label for me to download and credited my account with 5pounds to cover cost of p&p on my re order also an order for a makeup set had a problem with one of the 9 item set having leaked powder inside the package, they are sending me a free replacement item. Well done and thanks ideal world excellent service

I ordered an excersise bike in the middle of February, I needed to return the bike as a part was broken, it took weeks before the item was picked up. They have received it but I've still not received my refund, I've phoned them spoken on their chat each time i get fobbed off, this company is getting worse they're quick enough to take your money but getting a refund I'm lost for words I'd give 0 stars if I could

Unfortunately I haven't received the item at all. One week after the order, when I was already expecting delivery, I received an email that the order was cancelled as it was out of stock. I am extremely disappointed with the service provided and would not recommend Ideal Word to anyone.

Idealworld arranged the pick of the mattress for return but we got no refund after 2 months. Calling them is a premium rate and to a call centre probably in India.
We were assured we would be contacted in 48 hours after they had contacted the courrier but they never did.
Over 2 weeks later and we made another call they now had a new story... 2 courriers were booked and they do not know which one picked up the mattress. They are a complete joke.
As my elderly mum cannot find the courier documentwith tracking number they refuse to give a refund.

This is a scam company - do not buy anything from them.

Tip for consumers:
Avoid like the plague - terrible company.

Appalling, cowboys scammers, non existent customer service, people who do not understand English. They are quick to takes our money but are very reluctant to refund when their products turn out to be rubbish. There was an occasion I purchased a refurbished I phone supposedly fully refurbished fully tested, what a laugh I couldn't even make a call. The presenters on the mens side are mostly polished, in some cases snake oil salesmen, on the womens side consist of fat blondes presenting fashion, one 70 year old who has seen better days, who's delivery is appealing. The one shinning light is a lady by the name of Hayley, she is sincere and professional. On the whole the company should be avoided, they are scammers

I ordered a FOREKNOW Snow bike over a month ago and the order said up to 14 days delivery. I have emailed the company several times and got the same reply. " we will get back to you" Do not use Ideal word. It is a scam! Do not buy from them! I WILL REMOVE THIS REVIEW WHEN I GET THE BIKE!

I purchased a cordless vacuum cleaner last year for £129.99 which came with 20 FREE microfibre cloths worth £20. Unfortunately, after about 11 months the suction on the vacuum cleaner began to reduce significantly so I have had to return it. The company have only refunded me £112.65 and will not refund the amount I originally paid. Ideal World TV says that the £17.34 is for the FREE microfibre cloths and I would need to return these as well for a full refund (as if I still have these after that length of time?). If these were advertised as free, how can I be charged for these? I have complained several times now and am just sick and tired of the long-winded correspondence with them so will have to write this amount off.
Just beware that if you have to return a faulty product which came with a "free" gift you will only get a part refund.
Obviously "free" is not free at Ideal World TV.

Bought an automatic watch from Ideal World. Failed to be delivered within the stated time period, in fact took four times the stated number of days. Excuses galore,, Followed instructions to start the watch, wore it for whole day from 8 am till 11pm Took off for overnight,, watch stopped after 7 hours. Same thing happened every night / day. Contacted Ideal World,, "Operations Manager" replied saying,, "hand wind when taking if off over night" errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr,! My response was polite but,, included, "if i had wanted a manual wind each night type of watch i would not have bought an automatic watch"
Sent back and asked to be refunded, Email excuses why they wont refund despite their refund promises., Many many emails back n forth, Ideal World keep asking for my patience and for two days to "investigate" SIX more emails saying the same thing, each of which i responded to declining the two day wait. The advertisement for the watch implies it is made in UK, But it is NOT made in the uk. Advertisement stated, "limited edition" "not many have been made" "never be available again" But,, there they are again, on Ideal World, Ideal World then wrote
A letter sent to my address, but,, the name in the letter was NOT TO ME.
Every email they send is from a different person,,
I have now involved Citizens Advice, Consumer Direct, Trading Standards,
I am now in the process of starting a court action.
I have discovered, Ideal World have been the subject of a BBC Watchdog investigation, into such things as customer services etc.
Thats a very very long and frustrating story much shortened. Some reviews give an 82% negative score with only 9% positive. Wish i had known that before i stupidly chose to buy from Ideal World.
Dont even consider purchasing from this disgusting cowboy outfit. Any return for refund you attempt, GOOD LUCK, YOU WILL NEED IT.

The following email has been sent to ideal world - they promise someone will call you but they do not.

This email sent to ideal world several times.

I have never come across a company with Customer services as bad as Ideal Worlds. It's based in India and when they phone you back the phone rings for five seconds and then they stop ringing. I cannot get to my phone to answer them in this time.
I have been told by one of the Indians that he has tried to phone me four times and he could not get through to me. If this was the case a missed call would have been registered on my phone but there are no missed calls on my phone, so someone is not telling the truth.
I tried to speak to someone in England to put in a complaint but it appears that there is no one.
I wonder if people buying from Ideal world realise the trouble they would have with customer services when they buy items.
It's just not worth the effort in trying to get in touch with them.
The customer services I India will not take a complaint from me about themselves and there seems to be no one interested in taking a complaint in the UK.
I have had several messages from them as emails.
One said they are looking into my problem
One said they were pleased that my problem is now solved (but it is not)
One said he had tried to get me on my phone four times but could not get through. (If he had done this a missed call would have been registered on my phone four times - there are no missed calls showing on my phone)
I have been trying to get through to someone now for ten days, I always get India and they (unfortunately) are no help at all.
I have tried contacting the sales line but the people who answer the sales line do not work for Ideal World - they are just paid to answer calls and the definitely would not take a complaint.
I am at my wits end with Ideal World and wish I had never come into contact with them.
If anyone from Ideal World reads this would they please get in touch with me as soon as possible.

I have been trying to speak to an English manager for ten days I have been promised by the Indians that someone would ring but no one has.

Please open a formal complaint for me regarding this.

PLEASE ASK SOMEONE TO PHONE ME.

Disgusting customer service, staff working from scripts with no authority whatsoever to help or have a thought that may not be written in their manual.
Ordered a Steven Brown picture on 27/02/2021 for a 40th bithday present at the end of March.
They or Hermes lost the picture. The e-mail said was depatched on 15/03/2021 but it then vanished.
I reported this and nobody would help as the neccesary time (10 days) had not lapsed.
I sent 20 e-mails, called customer services (a joke) and also called Steven Brown direct to tell them what a shambles Ideal World was that was advertising his brand.
It is now 24/03/2021, i was told i would receive tracking info by 22/03/2021, this did not happen.
I have had about 5 staff at ideal world telling me consistently that they cant rush the process, cant check with the supplier, cant contact the courier. WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM. PROBABLY TO TELL THE CUSTOMER THAT THEY CANT DO ANYTHING!
The birthday is on 247/03/2021 and it looks like the present wont be here.

I would be easy to put it down to a one off but Hermes and ideal World lost 2 mattresses about 2 years ago and i went through the same hell.

DONT buy through ideal world, call the supplier direct, pay a bit more but have a positive experience. I have learnt my lesson aftert 2 terrible experiences. It will not get to a 3rd.

One star is too much for this awful service.
I paid a pound extra to have my item delivered to my nearest Asda store on next day delivery. I went to Asda to collect my parcel and it hadnt arrived so I phoned the number on my order confirmation and spoke to man there who could hardly speak English and kept saying my parcel would be delivered in 7 days time, he had no idea what I was trying to tell him so I asked to speak to hes supervisor, hoping I would get somebody who knew what I was talking about. I shouldnt of bothered as the supervisor was also couldnt speak or understand English & kept saying my parcel will be with me in 7 days. I asked if I was speaking to Ideal world or the parcel courtier as thought this might be the problem that they didnt know about paying extra for the parcel to be delivered to Asda. You can imagine my horror when she said she was Ideal world India! This all makes sense now why customer service is so bad! I emailed Ideal world for a answer who responded and said I would get a phone call, still waiting for phone call. Whats happened to this service? It use to be good. From now on I will steer clear from Ideal world & order from QVC!

Please please be careful this company is a discrace ordered a mattress from them on the 26th of august it's now the 11th of September I have sent numerous emails they don't reply I have telephoned the customer services at 13p per minute after an unnecessary long winded rigmarole I got to speak to someone who told me a pack of lies this has happened 3 times now I have waited in for 3 days after being promised delivery I'm still waiting. This is not the first time this has happened I had the same problem when I ordered a stick vac that time they told me it had been delivered to my neighbour (who was on holiday when they said it was delivered) I asked for proof of delivery and asked why the driver had not put a card in my letter box explaining his action they did not reply and it took forever to get a refund be warned look at other review sites they have a dreadful reputation YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

UNSAFE WEBSITE-IDEALWORLD.TV - I went onto IDEALWORLD'S website to track my order, i could'nt believe it when someone elses details came up! I saw their name-address-phone number-previous orders, even their card details. I"ve been trying to get in touch with IDEAL WORLD to tell them what happened, what a joke that company is! Their customer service is none existant-after being kept on the phone for 7 mins-pressing buttons & hash keys, i was told "the line is busy-'GOOD BYE"! And to think they have my details-if i could get hold of someone to speak to, i'd cancel my account-PRONTO! Beware.-(SORRY-THAT SHOULD BE-IDEALWORLD.TV)
