They rip you off. They will charge you membership fees if you make a purchase on their website, and they will not notify you that you are being charged. They would not refund my money.

Like everyone else, you buy one book and next thing you know you're paying a monthly membership. Usually careful, but they got me.

Site has changed since our purchase. There was no indication we were signing up for $19.95 / month membership when we purchased the $12 book. It took 4 months to notice the recurring charge on the credit card and they refused to give a refund and tried instead to tell us about the great services we were getting for the $20 / month.

STAY AWAY - and if you were there, report them to the Florida state attorney general's office!

Sue H. I just experienced the same thing, only it was a full year before I became aware of the charge. It was $9.95 a month and I called and talked to a customer service rep who FINALLY agree to refund 3 months worth of charges. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was told their "policy" is to only refund 3 months and that I was made fully aware of that at the time I bought my book. That is TOTALLY untrue. We'll see if that refund actually shows up on my credit card.

They are TERRIBLE TO DEAL WITH!!! placed an order on 12.12.10 and cancelled on 12.22.10...they credited back my $20 and i rec'd an email saying they would ATTEMPT to cancel the shipment....never heard from them again and I thought all was done (like a NORMAL company....) and then on 1.2.11 I got an email saying the books were SHIPPED and my acct was debited!!! when I called them they said that they could not cancel and that I would have to call them back and when I recv them and get and RA # and I would have to pay for the shipping!!! what a racket!! I may just keep the books for my daughters class and hope I never have to deal with this company again.....they certainly have NO customer service ethic!

RIP OFF. They've been charging me a 20 dollar subscription fee for buying a one book for a year now. The subscription offer comes at the bottom of the their web page in very fine print. They will only return a small fraction of the amount. Their business gimmick is downright unethical.

Probably my fault for not paying attention, but I was in a hurry to buy a book for a gift. I did not realize that by buying it at the super discounted price, I was "joining" the club. They have been billing me at $9.95 for "membership" for the past couple months.

Just a warning....

Found the book I wanted. First time buyers get $5 off at checkout. Didn't tell you it was already added into the original price. Made me believe it was a good deal. Had to go to support to cancel the order. I can get it cheaper elsewhere.

On 11/8/11 I purchased one book, $9.10 using my American Express card, two charges appeared on 11/8 one for the $9.10 and another for $1.00. On 11/14 another charge for $19.95 appeared. I haven't received my Dec., 2011 credit card statement, but know they made a second charge as I just called 1-888-646-1662 printed on my credit card statement (this number was NOT available on the website) to find out what the deal was. They told me, as they did others, that I agreed to join their club and that I was sent an email confirming my membership. I received no such e-mail and let them know that I was going to contest these charges with American Express. They reversed both charges and canceled my membership. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rip off! Like these others I was able to buy books at a good price without being aware I was joining them - for $30 a month! since Visa etc only has sketchy names I thought it was late billing for a book I had miscounted...spend a hundred dollars extra that I didn't know I was spending. DONT DO IT
