“Scammers”

They took my money and now lie about it, please avoid these scammers. They have promised a refund since April for the flight that airline cancelled and still nothing, tomorrow is August. I have so many regrets about booking with Opodo.

Attempted refund the cancelled flight. *******095 1h lost on phone, idiotic music and not less idiotic advises to use website. Website is full with round loops so useless for purpose it is proposed... 600 euros are lost... amazing - proposals of phone robot - false completely...
Stay away...

Ticket amount is 413.10 EUR
SERVICE CHARGES 665.47 AED

They don't show service charges while booking but when payment is made they will deducted with out any otp

Be careful about this dirty scam business, unbelieveable and intrust people, ask you many times for extra money for rescheduling your traveling trip and at the end you will find their ugly face with nothing in hand and on more response to you call

I been offloaded last July 28 I talk to an agent name alejandra she said she will give update within 72 hrs but till now no I check and one single request for refund was not been made even though I did I WORK FOR THAT MONEY U SCAM BAGS I want full REFUND

Found a good flight with suitable times online at a good ticket price and proceeded to book, after selecting seats, I realised this option was going to cost £38, so went back to deselect seats and after ensuring nothing else was selected I proceeded to the credit card payment section, where the original online ticket price (without the seat select fee) was still on show as total payment, so I inserted my credit card details, I clicked pay and booked flight.
However, when I received the confirmation email from Opodo it showed I was charged slightly over £4 extra! No where on opodo's website is a telephone number to contact! Only option is a Help centre link, which takes you to a bank of FAQs, or a chat bot. Chose the latter, and as soon as I posed my question, the chat bot referred me to a human agent who came on the chat line and started to dazzle me with lots of figures that I've not even seen or encountered either in their website or during the booking process, to which he says, "therefore we have already given you lots of discounts already, and the price you've paid is the cheapest!"
I told him I'm only prepared to pay the price I was quoted and agreed to. He then said the small extra is the fee! When I asked what fee, he said its stated in the terms and conditions. I told him any such fees must be clear at time of payment, not in small print hidden away via links. I again asked what fee is it, but he refused to clarify, instead he gave me link to a form to escalate my complaint.
I had used Opodo before and had always held this company in high esteem, however I am really appalled at this instance as it's such an unprofessional business practice.
I have completed and submitted the form together with the various print screens of my booking process which clearly showed the price I was quoted right to when I paid, a practice I had always done in case such an incident did take place!
Shame on Opodo who is owned by eDream, as I found out when I completed the complaint form!

TO EVERYONE READING THIS PLEASE BEWARE!

Avoid cheaper flight alternative websites like OPODO, KAYAK & CHEAPFLIGHTS! They direct you to fraudulent 2nd & 3rd party travel companies!

They redirected me to a fraudulent travel agency Company that tried to take almost £2,000 from me by taking my payment for flights but not issuing the flight tickets! Emirates contracted me to tell me that I have a booking but no tickets for the flight I was so shocked and embarrassed I called the travel agency and within seconds of asking them they hung up the phone, lying and giving excuses about the call signal, after 10 mins of calling them they blocked my number, they are just pure scammers! I was in tears badly and so shocked I told my husband and he told me to call my bank!

So I called my bank quickly! And told them I was a victim of fraud and they managed to stop the payment and give me a chargeback, I was so happy that my bank could help I had been so upset crying because I thought I just got scammed for £2000 pounds! It was such a nightmare I will never use sites like those I listed EVER again they are scamming people like crazy especially during COVID a lot of travel companies are trying to make back money by cheating their customers a lot of these company's do not give atol protection or refunds in case of cancellation so beware!

Booked a flight with this "agent". About 4 hours later received an email that the price had increased and I needed to call if I wanted to go ahead with the booking. The phone number provided was incorrect and I searched through the site for contact info to no avail. I tried dialling the number by dropping the "2" (for Australia) so the number actually is: 9199 5336. I was told that in order to confirm the booking I needed to pay an additional $13 AUD as flight prices had increased during processing which can take 24 hours. It would then take another 24 hours after making the additional payment to confirm the booking, during which time the price could increase further!

After waiting a further 24 hours and checking my booking status online, it still indicated that the booking was being processed and not confirmed. In the meantime, I was receiving emails from Opodo suggesting that I could check in now and asking if I needed to add an extra bag for my flight so it seemed that all was confirmed but I was not sure.

I called Opodo again (overseas customer service with poor English communication) and was told that my flight had not been confirmed as I had cancelled it and requested a refund. I confirmed that I absolutely had done no such thing and needed confirmation of my booking asap. I was placed on hold for ages and was then told that the airline was fully booked! While on the phone I looked at flights on Skyscanner and could see they were still available. I told this to the agent, not that I wanted to proceed anyway given the ridiculousness of it all, but she was uninterested and told me that the flight was fully booked, end of story, and she would initiate a refund.

I immediately successfully booked the flights with Expedia (although in the meantime the price had increased by $100 due to having to wait 48 hours).

The most unprofessional, dodgy and untrustworthy travel service I have ever used. Its really not worth the savings of about $40 or so to go with them as I've spent hours of my time resolving this.

Still waiting on the refund, which I am told will take 10 days. STAY AWAY! Go with a trusted agent with better ratings.

Further to my previous review, after much wailing and gnashing of teeth, not to mention almost three months of unbelievably frustrating hassle, Opodo finally refunded my cancelled airfare. It did take a threat of litigation and four very damning reviews on this and three other sites to get there, but dogged perseverance paid off in the end - and most of my sanity remains intact - just! I would still highly recommend avoiding them at all costs as they sadly fall far short of being a credible, competent, professional and reliable online ticket agency.

I made a booking for a Paris/Amsterdam/Paris flight (with cancellation insurance). For personal reason I had to cancel the trip the day before departure. When I called their call center for refund they offered me 27 Euros out of a 300+ Euros purchase! I thanked them for being so generous but declined their offer. I am wondering how those kind of companies can still operate in the E.U.?

This website was created by a bunch of crooks and thieves. You wouldn't believe their creativity in trying to steal money from you and add up to the final cost of your plane ticket. It is purposely made to be confusing, illogical, non-intuitive, it adds up extra cost without informing, without asking your consent, without transparency.

It is built in its structure that at every step it extorts more money from you. Pay attention, verify the total at every step (you have to scroll back up to see your total), and call customer service if needed. Also be careful about the payment method. It was 20 euros more if I paid with Visa and zero when paying with MasterCard. Even at the end after inserting all the card details it automatically selects some extra service so you pay more and you need to deselect it yourself.

Be prepared to contact CS (at least they answered quickly) and allocate at minimum an hour and a half to go through all their loops on the website.
I will not use this website in the future!

No way to call them. They took a booking and credit card details and did nothing about it - no contact, no update. Fortunately I discovered the day before the flight that there was no e-ticket issued! Avoid them like the plague.

Never ever use www.GoVolo.com to book any flights! After trying to book a flight and filling in all the info it suddenly didn't exist, then the second was cancelled and trying to reach customer support was close to impossible.

The third attempt was a real treat as the flight again didn't exist but then suddenly reappeared at much higher price.
