I came across this site when searching for something and decided to place an order. When it came to checkout the cost was £8.34 delivery charge for something that weighs 100g.
Secondly, you are forced to add your phone number/e-mail when ordering something so the site can pass your details to a courier who will send you spam text (sms) messages and e-mails. If like me, you are Telephone Preference Service registered you won't want to do that.
In brief: if you wish to order electrical goods over £150 (free delivery) then ok but anything lightweight the postage cost isn't worth it, plus, you get spammed afterwards

Darren G. Gil-lec charge £8.34 Next Day UK Delivery of any consignment up to 30KG. Carriage is indeed relatively expensive for those orders weighing 100g.

This ridiculous claim is untrue and libelous:
Customers' mobile numbers are indeed passed to Gil-lec's courier *in order that the customer may be notified of the delivery time*. (At which point they may rearrange delivery by text if not convenient). 100% of [actual] customers find this text both courteous and extremely useful, allowing them to plan their day. This is the only text they receive.
