I have been a customer of Epic Sorts for a few years now. For some reason they have chosen to alienate their customer base with absurd restocking fees, a phantom ? This item cannot be returned or exchanged." statement on line. Meaning this statement was not on the website page when I made the purchase. Now it is on there. I take screen shots of every purchase i make on line. The product page, the cart and the final sales receipt. Nothing I have states anything about Richardson hats not being able to be returned.
Their customer service or rude, do not let you talk and tries to talk over you to make their absurd point, if they have one. So it appears the management of Epic Sports has made a decision that their customers are not worthy or basic standards or business and customer treatment. On top of this they lied to me as well as omitted information that I did pull out of the second rep I spoke with. More excuses about what they can and can not say. This is simply a crappy way to do business. If I was to ever treat my customers this way I would be out of business quickly. So maybe this will help facilitate that for Epic Sports.
So now I have multiple Richardson hats I can not use and can not return. My purchase was less than two weeks ago and falls under the return policy of 30 days or less from receipt of order. So they are not honoring their own policies. Nothing states this except the product page, now not previously. Product pages can be updated and changed anytime with out record of prior product pages. For the sale, cart and sales receipt, by law they have to be clear there and must keep track of any changes. However on the product page they can lie and say it was there without providing any proof of that. This is why I make screen shot PDF prints to cover my behind.
So it looks like I was right all along, companies like Epic Sports really do not care abut their customers and only play the numbers game with regards to profit and risk.
I normally do not do this when something goes wrong but in their case it was intended to be malicious and underhanded. So I will not say be careful when dealing with Epic Sports or any of there branches of the company but I suggest you simply stay as far away from Epic Sports. I assure you, if you have any simple issues with them you will see it is actually not simple and they are trying to cheat you out of your money.
This company is a FRAUD! If you think you are getting team uniforms for a bargain, THINK AGAIN! This company has no ability to produce team uniforms even though they apparently advertise that option. And forget about any reasonable or reliable timing. They have no clue what they are doing except for taking your money, then charging ridiculous fees after the fact that are not stated or posted anywhere. The BBB is a waste of time, so our league has contacted the State Attorney General to open an investigation into Internet and Consumer Fraud! Oh and by the way, all the 5 star ratings apparently have been posted by the company itself to make it appear that they actually have satisfied the customers. There are laws which prevent that type of abuse as well. Plain and simple its called deceptive trade practices!!!
This is the first time I am ever writing a review on a product or website but this website needs warnings! I placed an order about a month ago for a product which, not to mention, was a Christmas gift! weeks went by and I never received my order. My bank statement was absurd! It showed the product purchase as TWO $1 charges. Then the second charge declined, for merchant reasons according to my bank. The original charge went through for the full amount. Two days later, the charge was refunded and I was NEVER NOTIFIED BY THE COMPANY OF THE SITUATION!. So, my bank had been monitoring the transaction and alerted me of the situation. I called the company and they told me they had no record of the purchase whatsoever.. not my name, not my email address, not my mailing address, or even a purchase on the date I ordered! The manager had advised me that my credit card number was entered incorrectly.. after telling me there was no record of the purchase. However.. if entered incorrectly as he said, he would have been able to see that, being a record of the purchase, AND IT NEVER WOULD HAVE SHOWN UP ON MY BANK STATEMENT! Then he continued to tell me that it looked like there were insufficient funds, well that is also incorrect. LIE NUMBER 2. I proceeded to ask what they could do for me. He had told me that if I knew the package wasn't coming (which I found out during the phone call with him) that I should have called earlier, but i was never notified that it wasn't coming! After going around in circles several times, lie after lie, I asked if he could overnight the product and I would pay again. That of course was "not possible". He told me that once an order is placed, they do not have any information regarded the order after 24 hours of purchase.. the most RIDICULOUS comment I have ever heard in retail. After being hung up on TWO TIMES, he told me he could find my order and resolve the solution if I provided him with my full credit card information.. well he must of thought I was a MORON because that was not happening. He also accused me of lying saying I had never made a purchase which my bank refutes completely according to my bank statements. I advise everyone to NEVER purchase from this website. Worst sales. Horrible attitudes. No business professionalism. A huge mistake!
#EPICFAIL. Filing complaint with Mastercard, BBB, and FTC. Partial uniform (jerseys) order placed on hold due to "out of stock" with no ETA on in-stock due to closeout pricing. My money, however, was in-stock. They want me to pay return shipping to send back the shorts and pay an absurd restocking fee?! It was their stock/supply chain issue, not my mistake! Customer service was downright rude. This business needs to go under ASAP.
They have obsurd re-stocking fees ... by the time you return the item for refund you will wind up paying more than what the item cost between shipping and re-stocking and nevermind your time involved to go to the post office. So unless you are keeping the items you are buying ...I guess it is worth it...otherwise look for another site.
I searched for as many reviews as possible prior to submitting my order to Epic Sports and most were less than favorable. I took a chance however and placed an order since the price was better than any other I could find including the cost of shipping. The order was placed on 11/01/2013 with an estimated delivery of 11/12/2013. I did not receive an receipt via email once I submitted the order but was notified when the item was shipped. The item arrived via UPS 5 days early on 11/07/2013 and was exactly as expected.
I have absolutely no complaints only praise for the experience. My only concern was the lack of an emailed sales receipt as described upon completion of the order. The order information, receipt, and shipment tracking information were all available from the web site.
I would hope that this transaction is the rule rather than the exception and would seriously consider making future purchases from Epic Sports.
I tried to return an item because it didn't fit and they declined saying the item had been worn.
There's no way for me to prove I only wore the shirt long enough to try it on so I'm basically stuck. They found some obscure discoloring on the shirt and used that as the rationale that it had been worn. The shirt must have come with that spot on it because there's no way I could have done it but again, there's no way for me to prove it.
I guess they have the right to not accept but then again I won't be giving them my business in the future and you should beware as well. Shop at your own risk.
Ordered large order of shorts...quality was sub-standard...I am returning because of the quality. There is a 20% restocking fee! Buyers beware!
I paid extra for 2 day air shipping. It was sent out on Monday and it is now Thursday! Really? They obviously sent it ground. Unbelievable! DO NOT USE THIS SITE!
I had my doubts at first after reading all these bad reviews. I ordered my team baseball jerseys (Team Name, front & back #s tackle twill) on 9/9 and chose 3 day shipping and received them a week earlier than expected 9/16 to Los Angeles. Very easy setup with a quick turnaround, very satisfied and will order again. Will recommend it.
I ordered 1 customized jersey for 9.99 and a pair of shorts that were 5.99. I paid the ridiculous 8.00 shipping charge. When my product did not come within 16 days I called and they told me it was returned. They wanted me to pay 2 additional shipping fees on top of the 8.00 shipping fee I already paid for a grand total of 28.00 in shipping fees. OR they could refund the products and give me 36 cents. WOW! Judy was rude and kept repeating herself asking me why THEY should eat the cost. CLEARLY your site does not have the proper information. I will not order from this place again and I will be sure to suggest to the league not to order from them as well.
This is the worst company ever, I placed a large order for a football team and then my card was charged then was told my order was placed on hold, then I called and the male I spoke with was very rude, would not let me speak to anyone else he said that he didn't have a supervisor nor could I speak to anyone else after he placed me on hold for 15 minutes then he hung up. I called back and then was told that I had to give my credit card number again after they had already charged my card. they claimed this was a dollar fee but I was charged again. We will never use this company again.
Placed an order at the beginning of May for an item I was sending as a birthday gift and didn't need until the middle of June. The day after ordering, I was contacted and told it was on backorder and was to be shipped a couple of weeks later. This was fine, as I intentionally ordered far enough in advance incase of issues. They said no signature was required, UPS disagreed, and three attempts later was sent back to the manufacturer. The birthday came and went, I had to purchase something else, and after a ridiculous amount of time with a customer service rep (and an incredibly frustrating amount of time on hold), was told I could return the item, but had to pay both the reshipping charge from UPS AND a restocking fee, so only got half my money back. Not good business practices, will never order from them again (I also have NEVER been compelled to write a review about any business in my entire life up until now, but it was such a terrible experience that I HAD to share in order to possibly dissuade another person from making the same mistake I did.
I purchased undergarments from them and they were just jammed into the mailing pakcage. None of the items were in a sealed bag or box.

How do I know they had not been worn before. Very unsanitary way of shipping undergarments I threw them all out and now am out $40.00

I ordered shirts for my office and same thing happened, couldn't get the billing address to match and wanted all card info repeated I started doing it and then got a funny feeling like this was fraudulant. I googled them to read reviews and saw all of these. While still on the phone I told him to just cancel the order. We'll see if I get the credit.
I read the reviews but didn't listen. The same exact thing happened to me. Placed an order last night and at 7amCT and never received any confirmation email. I received an automated call telling me my order was on hold. When I called they told me that they couldn't match my name to my address. Um, my bank can so why can't you? Then they started asking me for a home line associated with the address which I don't have. Then they started asking for names of other people in the household which I refused to do. Finally, they wanted me to send them a copy of my utility bill. Sounded very fishy to me so I told them to cancel the order.
They told me that they would cancel and send me a confirmation of this when they go out at 8pm. What kind of company only sends out emails once per day on an order? This place has fishy written all over it and I'm guessing I'll have to dispute any charges with my bank.
I ordered 24 shirts. The next day I get emails and voicemails stating they are holding my order due to a fraud alert. I call them and they want me to give them my credit card info again. I refuse to do so as I already did online. I check my statement they charged my card for the order. So they say they can't process my order bc the information I gave doesn't match card and yet they were able to charge my card. Something is fishy about that. Now I have to dispute charge and cancel order. Do not use this site.
I have to say that I was concerned when I read the complaints on this site about Epic Sports. I had read the complaints after I had already ordered my team jerseys. I was nervous with all the complaints that I had. However, I ordered 28 Jerseys and socks for my teams tournaments that were scheduled for 6/22/2013 and I received my order a day earlier (6/13/2013) than I was told with exactly everything that I had asked for! One thing I would like to point out is that most people never leave positive feedback when experiences go well. Most people feel compelled to leave negative feedback when things go wrong and that is understandable. I have to note that usually when a company is very big that means they produce high volumes of orders and that also means that there is a greater chance for problems from time to time. I do not work for nor do I have any vested interest in Epic Sports. I am a coach of NorCal Honey Badgers fastpitch softball team and needed a great price in a short time to outfit these girls.Anthony at Epic Sports provided me the opportunity and I thank him and them. They seem to "depend" on automation. I received two emails within minutes of my order advising my order is on hold due to comments I've added (swear this all is true)
Next morning I received an email & followed by an AUTOMATED PHONE CALL
requesting a call back, when I phoned (right away) his phone was busy, this is when I knew the guy is a complete rinky dink.
Honestly the worst online shopping experience i've ever had... I have placed my order over 2 weeks ago and still hasn't shipped. Also there were 3 issues with my order which of course were handled with 3 separate calls multiple days apart. They didn't even offer to ship my items faster after delaying it so many times!
Company refused to allow a return of a defective item I purchased from them. They do not stand behind their products. I wish I would have never heard of them. I will go thru life naked before I would ever let hem have one penny of my money again.
Do NOT order from this website! Like many others, I ran into so many problems when trying to buy a single, $20 jersey. I got emails and calls from their fraud department not long after my order telling me something on my credit card looks iffy (which has never happened before), and when I contacted them to verify my information they started asking for utility bills for proof of address and my credit card number (over the phone). They then made it difficult to cancel my order and get my refund. Do not make the same mistake I did. This company is awful
Ordered my grandson soccer shoes. They had a red dragon on them. I received soccer shoes with pink hearts. NOT acceptable or so I was told. I called and asked them to ship the correct ones and they told me to return the shoes, then they would ship the correct shoes. I didn't have time to wait. They said pay for the right ones and they would issue a credit when they received the wrong ones. I said no, just issue a RA and I'll buy local. They received the shoes (UPS tracking) last Thurs and still no credit. They say now that WHEN they receive the shoes in the returns department, THEN it may take 7 days to receive the credit. Nope! Back to Brick Store shopping.
I've read many bad reviews about this company but for some reason decided to try it for myself! I am really glad that I did. One of my items was out of stock and I received a phone call from epicsports saying I needed to contact them ASAP or my order would be on hold. So, I called them back and everything was taken care of right then. I'm usually skeptical of places who sell things for such a low price but I was really impressed. The estimated delivery time was correct and I received all of my items, plus the reimbursement for the out of stock item, in the time frame that they gave me. I will order from them again.
Ordered a baseball glove 2-14-13 and as of today 3-4-13 it has not even shipped. They have more excuses than a 3 year old. Would not recommend. There are extremely slow and not accountable for there inability to deliver in a timely fashion
Recently ordered Dale Earnhardt floor mats for my vehicle and was completely disgusted by the experience. I was called at 7am the day after I placed my order stating my order could not be processed because my shipping address and billing address were different. Funny to me however that their customer service line doesn't open till 8am so what business did they have calling me? Also I had ordered products from both ebay.com and avon.com and hadn't had an issue. When I called customer service the employee I spoke to was far from professional. I honestly felt it was invaded my personal privacy by asking me who all resides at the address I was having the merchandise shipped too as well as asking me my mother's name (owner of the house of my billing address). I understand there is a verification process they're trying to implement but as I stated I felt as if my privacy was violated. When I finally received my floor mats I was also disappointed in the quality and the colors were not accurately depicted. Needless to say I will never order from this company again and hope they hop on the train to professionalism soon.
Never, ever, ever order from this site. They want to charge shipping to receive, ok. However, if the item doesn't work out, its FIFTY PERCENT - yes, 50% restocking fee. This isn't disclosed until you get your receipt or buried somewhere on their website. Oh, AND you have to pay to ship it back on top of that. NEVER!
Ordered 15 baseball jerseys on Jan 17. Visited this site to see reviews and was scared I made the wrong choice. On Jan 21st I received an email from them stating they had to talk to me about my order. Called them and they said that 5 items are on back order and what would I like to do. Told them to send me the ten and I would re-order the other five when they said they would come available on Feb 8th. Received my 10 jerseys today. Great communication and great service!
Don't buy from them unless you are positive you will keep the item. After all purchases you will find out they have a 20-50% restocking fee. Yes I found out too late. A $380.00 piece of baseball equipment did not fit my son. The very next day I go to return it and got hit with a $68.00 re-stocking fee plus shipping to send it back. I have not had this experience with any online stores before. I will never buy from them again. They have killed any chance of me being a repeat buyer. Shame on them. They had a nice sale and a new customer and they could have been more up front with this policy before I gave them my credit card number. I will NEVER go their website again!
Wow, I'm shocked to see the negative reviews of this company as we have had nothing but positive experiences. I have ordered 22 softball jerseys which arrived 4 days before they were scheduled, 11 Demarini team quipment bags and am about to place an order for our team helmets. When I have had a questions or inquiry, the Customer Service was on point and I even complimented them on their great service. I would HIGHLY recommend Epic Sports..we are a fan~!
I would never deal with this company again. It takes 4 weeks to get something that was their fault (false advertisement) to straighten out.

Ordered product on Dec 17. Product states should receive it with 9 to 11 business days. 11 business days later just called and they are just now shipping it out. This is crazy. Called customer service stayed on hold for 33.23 minutes to be exact. STAY away from company. Bad customer service and they are not timely. The customer service rep told me that the product was held up for bad weather. Then advised I worked for a mail based business and none of our customers had there packages late.
The return of the item which I ordered has proved to be very difficult. First, it is really difficult to see what you are getting and understand what you are getting. My son wanted a product and from what I could see it would be what he wanted. However, when I got the shipment, it is only a partial product. I called to return and found out about the restocking fee and also that we pay to ship both ways. I would steer clear of this site. Also, service was rude when trying to get a return label. Stated that the policy for restocking is in plain site hidden the the FAQ's.
This has been a completely nightmare ordering experience - the customer service rep was completely rude, and I have no clue where my order is at. I do not understand how this company is still in business - they claim that the manufacturer is drop-shpiping my product and part of my shipment was back-ordered. I was able to go on amazon and order those items (also had them drop shipped) - and I got them in two days with free shipping. Stay away, not worth the 'savings' you 'think' you're going to get...

I also am ordering matching socks, and have had no issues with anything. So far, this has been a great company to deal with.
They're very up front about the delays caused by Hurricane Sandy, who can argue with that.
It seems that many of the negative comments are from people with crazy expectations. Bad things happen with every company, if you react in a calm manner, you get better results from customer service.

This has to be the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. They call me at 7am to tell me my address is incorrect. Which it is not. They even said they couldn't run the charge through..but sure enough, it came through anyway after order was cancelled! I have documentation via their voicemail and email saying my order was not processed..so now I disputed this charge. I may sue them for my wasted time in small claims court in Kansas..I went to college there and have lots of friend lawyers! Also, order person on the phone was EXTREMLY RUDE (Jeri?). You wasted my time. I’m the customer. Your customer service order person said the same thing. That I wasted his time. Are U kidding me? I also reported them to Amazon since they had one of those sneaky external site links. Epic also gouges you on shipping charges. 2-3 day delivery for my item cost is only $5.95 via USPS. But they charged me $17.77. I had to have these gloves for my son..but cancelled they order and decided to buy more expensive gloves at $#*!s Sporting goods. "
On July 22, I ordered a set of collegiate scrubs. My credit card was charged at that time. The invoice I received in my email stated I should receive my order by July 30. was provided a link to check on the status of my order. On August 6, the order was still listed as "In Progress". I phoned customer service and was asked to hold while they checked with the manufacturer to see what the problem was. The customer service rep, who I must say was very nice, stated he was unable to get hold of the manufacturer and could he call me back. I told him I was not interested in a return call, I wanted the order canceled and my credit card reimbursed. He stated he could not do that until he spoke with the manufacturer to make sure the order had not shipped. He promised to work on it and call me back when the transaction was cancelled. I was very unhappy when I ended the call. I did, however, receive a call back and an invoice stating my order was cancelled and my credit card was being reimbursed. I'll be watching the card to make sure. I would never order from these people again.

I bought 2 jammers for my kids and they turned out to be too small, the refund they were going to give me was 50% of what I paid, shipping on top of it is expensive too.
Other sites have much better customer service.
Their prices may seem competitive but go elsewhere. Their shipping is slow and the return policy terrible. If you return something for any reason except that it was damaged or an incorrect item, they make you pay shipping (not unusual I guess) but will ding you with a restocking fee of up to 50%! Yep, half of what you paid! You have to wait on the phone for an eternity to talk to "customer service" to get an RMA email, and then they can't tell you what the restock fee will actually be. Oh, and if you do get them to agree to cover the return shipping, you have to buy it yourself, then include the receipt in the box (i.e. don't seal it up until you've paid for the shipping)! Good luck with doing that at the Post Office. No doubt all part of the plan to discourage returns.
I ordered some soccer balls and Epic Sports brand goalie jerseys and gloves. My first order arrived early and everything was just great. Jerseys ran a little large, so I needed to order again for my youngest son. Second order also arrived earlier than estimated. Great prices and great experience . . . I've already shared with others on my kids' teams! Will definitely order from again!
I saw all of the negative reviews about this orgainization, and it truly perplexes me. I am NEVER one to write a review about anything....but I felt duly compelled to come to the aid of a company that has provided nothing short of perfect service for me over the last several years. I have ordered a ton of baseball uniform attire....it is at amazing prices, and has always arrived on time and perfectly in sync with my order. I hate to bust up the party, but I have nothing but wonderful things to say about epicsports.com.
I was searching for cheap but nice soccer jerseys for my 7 year old team for their indoor season. I found a nice jersey at epic sports at a price that seemed too good to be true, so on a hunch I did a search for reviews of the site. I read these very bad reviews, and seriously considered not placing the order. But the price was so low ($5 per jersey), that I decided to look into this a little more. First I called the manufacturer (High Five) and asked if they were aware of any issues with Epic Sports, and they said no. I asked them about the item I was ordering, and they told me that they had sold out the inventory for that product to Epic Sports. Then I re-read the reviews, and it seemed that most of the bad reviews were due to cases where Epic had to work with a 3rd party manufacturer. So I learned that closeout items are epic's website are already in their warehouse, which seemed to me to eliminate much of the risk.
I ended up placing the order, and it arrived within 2 days, much faster than I anticipated. The shirts were all there, correct sizes, good quality. So although I don't doubt that other people may have had problems with Epic Sports, my experience was nothing short of perfect.
Very Negative! Ordered a pair of football gloves for my son. Website said they were in stock and paid $27.75 for seconded day delivery. 4 days after ordering I called customer service and the girl said she would have to call me back but looked like they have not even shipped. No call back from customer servive and no gloves for my son's 7 x 7 comp that starts tomorrow. Very negative experience and recommend people stay away from this website.
I've ordered from epicsports more than a couple of times and each time I have received great service and great products for the price. Yes, most people buying from epic are there for the prices. They are a discount sporting good outlet and people need to realize that. You know that saying, you get what you pay for, and it is especially true for epic sports. I find that it's a perfect place for youth sports, or the very casual player. I've bought $8 goalie gloves, $15 goalie jerseys, $2 socks. Are they the highest quality, of course not, but that wasn't what I was looking for. Overall, I would recommend this site. I've never had problems with customer service, and have actually found them to go out of their way to help me.
I attempted to cancel my order BEFORE the items shipped and was told that it was not possible and that if I returned the items there would be a whopping 30% restocking fee. If this had been mentioned at all before my purchase, I never would have done so. My company operates a shipping department as well and it is absolutely possible to cancel an ordfer that is in the "processing" phase. Furthermore, charging a restocking fee is considered to be bad business these days and is usually only seen on sites like eBay from small scale merchants. Buyers beware, I don't see one good review here!
Isn't it odd that all these experiences are so horrible and yet Judy or someone always has a response. Perhaps your company should practice better customer service and just correct your own companies problems. If you cannot do so, then don't hurt consumers with your crazines..
Ordered a $300.00 baseball umpire helmet from them on 1/14/11. I read on their website that on UPS ground delivery you should get a tracking number withing 5-7 days (funny because the delivery was supposed to occur within that amount of time. Sent them an e-mail 8 days later asking about the tracking number and found out that the item the website let me order was not in stock and was on backorder until early March. Was also told that they could not hold items on back order for more than 30 days which meant my order would have to be cancelled and I would have to re-order if I wanted the item. When I asked why they charged my credit card knowing that they order would have to be cancelled they gave me some jibberish about how an item can be ordered and on back order the same day. Now, I'm still (today is 2/7/09) trying to get my $$ refunded to my credit card. Was told in and e-mail that as soon as the order was cancelled, I'd get an e-mail notice from Epic Sports letting me know. That e-mail was dated 1/27/11 and no response yet (how long does it take to cancel an order?). Called today and was transferred to someone's line where I waited 15 minutes before giving up and leaving a message. Two hours later, no call back. Absolutely horrible customer service. I will never use the site again and will tell everyone I know not to either.
Buyer BEWARE!!!! Customer service and professionalism are terrible. This has been the worst buying experience I have ever had. Prices are good, but not worth the trouble. If you want to return you have to pay 20% of your order as a "Shelving fee". Sales reps are rude and condescending. Not worth the prices...I'm warning you, you will not be satisfied.
Their administration is a shambles with a completely unclear ordering process. Shipping information, order forms, email confirmation - all delayed and lacking crucial information. One of the soccer balls I ordered was out of stock and the resulting mess left me with two items in the wrong size and a very bad taste in my mouth. Their customer service department is confrontational, unprofessional and lacking in any interest to sort out problems. I received an email that said, literally: You ordered it. You own it.
I ordered basketball jerseys from epic sports - when they arrived, a majority of them were under sized. Contacted Epic Sports and they provided no assistance. I also contacted the manufacturer who was extremely helpful. The manufacturer confirmed the product line had changed and the information as provided by Epic Sports was incorrect. Epic Sport immediately changed their web site and then procedeed to tell me that I never should have assumed the web site was correct - yes, the problem was that I as the consumer assumed the information the store presented was correct - and according to Epic Sports I should not have done that! They continued to say it was my fault, not once accepting any responsibility. I said that I would not purchase from them again and their response was that they have 20,000 customers and did not need me!
I have since ordered through another dealer for the manufacturer. I can at least say that the manufacturer responded in a professional manner and immediately apologized for Epic Sports lack of customer service and integrity.
My recommendation to anyone looking at Epic Sports is to deal with another store or dealer - if they have the best price, just ask someone else to match it. They don't deserve new customers.
