What a bunch of idiots......I am currently taking them to the small claims court. I don't anticipate getting my funds back but I will do everything I can to make their life and trading difficult.
They took my money which included an amount for express delivery as I needed this plate for a caravan holiday so the date I required the plate was important, then demanded more money in addition to the money I had already given for an express delivery. When it was clear they were not able to deliver the goods in the specific time without more money I cancelled the order and was offered 50% refund as the plates had already been made - AMAZING as it was exactly 40 mins from order to cancellation and it was all after 8pm?? After a further email from me politely requesting a full refund and right to cancel as per my consumer rights the offer of a refund was withdrawn.
This company has chosen the wrong professional to steal money from, they clearly want a battle and thats what they are going to get. I can not abide companies who think they have a right to steal from people.
I advise everyone who has had money stolen from them to do the same.

DONT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY MONEY THEY ARE TRADING UNLAWFULLY.

Terrible service, zero communication.

I ordered a replacement numberplate two months ago,
unknown to me the instructional email asking me to provide documentation ended up in my spam inbox so after a week I sent them an email asking for an update on why the order had not arrived.

I had no response over the next month despite 5 more emails so I finally reported them to Google Checkout as a fraudulent company unsurprisingly they responded the next day stating that they were waiting for some documentation.

At this stage I had gone elsewhere so I just asked for a refund, 3 more unanswered emails and another month passed and I still had no reply.

Google eventually refunded the money and informed me that they no longer allow this company to use their checkout service which is good news.

Pedro V. I recently received a response from Cambridgeshire Trading Standards Officer who says....

"I have recently been in contact with this trader and have asked him to amend his website to make it clearer that the customer will have to post original documents to him. This original document check is a legal requirement. The website was amended on 14th March as recommended. I understand that your problem relates to an earlier transaction and that you have concerns about whether the company is legitimate. I can confirm that they are a supplier registered with the DVLA and that they appear to be operating within the legal constraints placed on them by the legislation.I have been assured by the proprietor that he will personally respond to any queries submitted via his contact form, rather than relying on the auto-response that he has been using."

Unfortunately he seems to have missed the point about the concerns that people have with this trader. They may well be registered with DVLA and yes they have added some small print to the front page of the web-site mentioning that customers are required to send original documentation with their order as well as they've removed the false picture of the workshop/industrial unit from where they were misleadingly implying they operated. (it's replaced with a rather serene picture of a punt in front of one of the colleges), however their dodgy practices appear to prevail! It seems that they are still taking money but not sending out number plates to vulnerable customers. There continues to be complaints coming in. Interested to note that Google have barred them just recently!

This site is to be avoided. It is not mentioned until you have paid your cash that they require documentation to be sent to them. Yes it is buried in the T&Cs which you have to acknowledge but, that is the only place it is mentioned before you check out.

I had all of my documents in storage, because of house moves, hence the reason I tried using them in an emergency. Are they interested no and they don't answer e-mail.

This site seems very questionable!!

I will be seeking recourse from my credit card company. BE VERY CAREFUL!!!!

I have not received any responce from the site, the money has been taken from my bank account and no number plate received. Only contact information available is a email address.

We have many customers who are very happy with the service we provide. However in this instance this customer has failed to provide their documents therefore we are unable to provide their number plates.

Kirsty A. These representatives from Easy Number Plates are laughable - the wording is identical on both responses (like the automated emails which are sent in response to complaints. I provided my documents TWICE by email and both times the email was acknowledged as being in order (by an automated email), so this is patently a VERY POOR AND FRAUDULENT excuse by this company and proves that they are liars and cheats. Even if the goods do eventually arrive (and I have been waiting over a month), the delay means they are USELESS. If people order number plates, they need them IMMEDIATELY to get their vehicle legally back on the road.

It is a legal requirement to provide certain documentation to obtain a number plate in most cases the authors have not supplied the correct documrntation or have simply not supplied any documentation at all. When incorrect documents are sent or nothing is sent we email the customer and quite often an incorrect email address has been given or an email has been sent and is simply sitting in their junk email box?

We clearly state in ours terms and conditions that documents are required, if we break the law we face a £5000 fine what can we do?

Their phones are always off of the hook.
The rarely replt to emails.
I have been waiting for over 3 months for my numberplate and I still haven't received it.
I have asked for a refund, but they have ignored all of my requests.

I have proved to you that I did send you the documents, but you took so long to acknowledge my emails that I had to go elsewhere to get the numberplate as my vehicle was off of the road and your tardiness cost me a lot of money. I have not asked for compensation for the costs incurred as a result of your very poor level of customer service, but I have asked for my money back which I think is only fair as you failed to uphold your end of the deal!!!

terrible website site and customer service. I sent my money and yes got a reply via email to confirm money had been taken out. Sent my documents and post office confirmed they had received this. 8 emails later and 2 letters to them, no reply, no plate or my documents not returned. I have been unable to drive as no plate or lisence, now its been 1 month. I assume that my lisence has been lost?? stolen?? I don't know but will have to re-apply for a new one I guess, contacted DVLA as they call themselves a registered DVLA company - stay well clear of them. I have contacted trading standards and watchdog today as Im fed up of waiting and no reply. Any further advice would be helpful

Yes - very misleading and they have my 12.99. Terms and conditions is almost hidden - couldn't find how to read it as it was the same colour and size text as the rest of the info. They have tried to get out of the distance selling regulations by saying that as soon as payment is taken the goods are created immediately - information about having to post ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS is only given after payment has gone through. How can they get away with being on the sponsored links at the top of a google search?
Really do keep away from this one. Believe the other bad reviews.
Taught me a lesson to always check out a website as anyone can rip you off these days.

Absolute shisters! Don't go anywhere near them... They'll rip you off. Gauranteed! They've had me good and proper.(But remember..every dog has it's day) ~They do not send you the goods. They will take the money out of your account and attempt to steal further money in various guises. The address at 43 Glebe Road is dodgy. The so called owner named as John Dove on the web site is false.If anyone would like to contact me to see about getting our own back on this little man then please do let trading standards at Cambridge know about it

Pedro V. READ ALL THE COMMENTS SHOWN. Ignore the advice of the majority of us at your peril. If you use this site you will be robbed. I cannot understand why it is that Trading Standards @ Cambridge have not stopped them. Also DVLA seems to be happy to allow them to persist in stealing money off people in their name and currently Sagepay are assisting them in actually taking our money. PLEASE NOTE: The website is full of dodgy stuff. The picture which they have (currently)on this site (go to 'about us' ) shows a rather pristine industrial unit and is intended to make you believe that this is where they operate from. Wrong! In fact 43 Glebe Road (the official address) is a rather grotty little terraced house in a housing estate. They are not only operating this website but have several others covering a range of equally dodgy stuff such as advertising cheap SKY remote handsets to providing so called IT services.

If you are that honest maybe you would tell me how many people ordered plates from you in the past year and how many orders you actually fulfilled. i.e. for how many of these people did you produce and send out the number plates? It seems to be fraudulent. Other people on this site have reviewed it similarly. STAY AWAY FROM IT. If you gave them your credit card details notify your bank about this.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Awful customer service, no response to emails, sent documents 3 times, had "helpful" responses from staff members who then proceeded to ignore emails after taking my money. They have no excuse as I got confirmation that documents were received and that item would dispatch. 2 months later and I am now taking up with trading standards. If anyone else has had similar experiences waiting for their money, then I would advise to follow suit and contact trading standards to stop this from happening to other consumers.

i was scammed by these thieves in 2010 and see they are still at it so contacted trading standards(stewart aitken 01954284658)to be told he had resolved issues with this outfit and is receiving no complaints about them so suggest to all to contact him in fact bombard him with complaints

I have ordered three times from Easy Number Plates without any problems, the number plates I order are good quality. It appears to me reading through the reviews here that people are just unwilling to send documents and then start complaining about it. Infact its not their fault as a company that they are just complying with UK law. I would order from these guys again and advise any law abiding citizens to treat these reviews with caution as some are very vindictive and unpleasant.

Well, I certainly was discouraged by the sheer amount of other Negative reviews and complaints by other people who have used this company... (After i'd bought and paid for my number plates), and then started to notice other things that didn't seem to add up etc.

The site does not tell you that you need to send off your documents (no copies or scan-ins, ACTUAL DOCUMENTS) until you've been through Verified by Visa (Paypal etc) and then gives you a long list includeing driving license etc. I would not AT ALL recommend sending your license or official documents off... I only sent off a Utilities bill and Tax Renewal Reminder. 1/10 for communication, and that's being kind. I received 2 automated emails thanking me for the purchase and another to say that my documents had been received.

After all, I posted the documents 1st class and a letter reminder with my Order number on Friday Apr 8th, and received my number plates in the post Tuesday Apr 12th. I had my doubts.... but it turned out to be ok. 7/10 overall

As I said in a reply earlier, I've got no issues with easynumberplates, I've used them on two separate occasions and both my orders progressed as I expected and I received my items in good time. Their instructions are simple to follow... nothing to complain about. There must be other folk out there that have had a satisfactory experience with them?!

Appears to be fraudulent. I ordered a new number plate 4 weeks ago and although the money was immediately taken from my account, the plates have still not arrived. No phone no., only an email address - slow and unsatisfactory responses to my email, and nothing in the past 10 days to my last email. AVOID THIS WEBSITE

There is no name and no physical address to contact on your website. I note you don't state your name on the reply above. Kirsty A. Regarding the above reply from Easynp.P: I sent all the documentation more than once and received confirmation from them that it was all in order each time I re-sent the documents. I still believe this company is fraudulent. My advice is to go to Halfords for your number plates.
