MY WIFE AND I SPOKE EXTENSIVELY, BY PHONE AND TEXT, WITH A BREEDER FROM DOGSNOW.COM. WE MADE ARRANGEMENTS TO PICK UP TWO PUPPIES IN WALNUT HILL, FL. THIS WAS A 19-HOUR ROUND TRIP DRIVE FOR US. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE ADDRESS THE FAMILY THERE TOLD US THERE WERE NO PUPPIES. THEY ALSO TOLD US THAT WE WERE NOT THE FIRST ONES TO STOP THERE LOOKING FOR THOSE PUPPIES. WHAT A RIP OFF. WE WILL BE CONTACTING THE LOCAL POLICE TO SEE IF THIS SCAM IS A PUNISHABLE OFFENSE. WE STILL HAVE THE SCAMMERS PHONE NUMBER.

Was looking at a Bernedoodle on the site. According to the site, I was only 15 miles from that particular dog & 'Julio' was the contact. As I started messaging with them, I got emails from another person totally - no 'Julio' in sight, and was told that they were in Jackson, MN - almost 3 hours away. When I asked if we could have a conversation, I was given a phone number that I could 'text them' at. What breeder is unwilling to have a conversation with a potential buyer? At that point, I pulled the plug. I wouldn't use that site again. Too many scam possibilities.
I reached out to a "breeder" about a weimereiner puppy. They wanted me to send them $400 to get "registered" so they would hold my puppy. I told them I wouldn't send them money without setting eyes on a puppy and they said I could not come see the puppy without a deposit. SCAM.
All the horror stories listed here are all too familiar. My wife and I just got scammed. Thankfully, we did not send any $ for 'deposit'. As soon as the topic about a 'deposit' came up, it raised MAJOR RED FLAGS.
The other RED FLAG was that they were using a Google Number, and never cared to give a real number.
They sent us on a wild goose chase to a stranger's home get the 'puppy'. Thankfully, the location was only 45 minutes away. Still a waste of time.
The reason I know the whole site is set up as a scam is that one of the reviews on here turns out to be the name of the individual that we were communicating with: Franklin Fletcher (Franklin F.). I will post a screenshot of the review here along with my review.
BUYER BEWARE! This entire site is a SCAM!
I never get serious replys on this site for $20 a month. & when i do get a reply it seems it is the people who work there because they never come through with buying a puppy. They email 1 time then i reply back then nothing.
I recently found a posting for siberian husky puppies for sale in Warsaw, MO. I contacted the seller through the website dogsnow.com. I received a reply by email and the seller texted me pictures of the puppies that were available. I picked out a puppy and sent $200 deposit. After all said and done, I have no puppy and the lady PAMELA GALICIA IS A THIEF, AD NUMBER *******. Of course now she won't return any text messages. After seaching the internet I found she had done the same scam on another person looks like it was found on Craigs List. I will give the site a 3 star only because they are not at fault. However, I think this website should do some spot checks on their sellers. I was lucky enough to find a good person selling husky puppies in Springfield, MO, on another website. I now have a new beautiful baby girl. I HOPE THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE
This is a total scam! Tried to get a puppy and seller wanted a $400 deposit for a puppy listed at $655 in order for us to see the puppy and vet papers. We were able to come see the puppy that day within 30 minutes. We were told to look elsewhere because he doesn't let people see the puppies without a deposit
Dogsnow.com is a total scam! All we wanted was a toy poodle puppy and we got a great deal. We paid the amount that was asked for and then the breeder said the puppy was going to arrive at our house. They asked us to pay a lot more money afterwards. They said when the puppy arrived at our house they would refund the money. So we paid the money and then they said the dog was ready to be shipped. Then, they asked for double the money for Health insurance, so we refused and they got pissed off. We said we wanted proof of a picture, a video, or something that they had the puppy in a cage already at the airport ready to be sent. But they refused to send us a picture or a video because they said they were going to get fired. They sent us a video of a similar dog that looked like it was at someone's house and was not in a cage, or ready at the airport. They threatened me that I would go jail because of animal abandonment. They used a random house address, one that they didn't even live in, and used a legitimate company name that doesn't even send puppies! They kept telling us that the puppy was ready to be shipped, but kept asking us for more and more money. Not Fair! Do not use this sketchy website. Do not buy any dog on this website!
I got a yorkie from her and three days later took her to the vet and her blood sugar was low so the vet keep her over night and she passed away. Dogs Now said it was my fault.
Stay away from Dogs Now
For the past 2 days me and my husband have been trying to find a husky puppy and a maltese puppy. We have probably contacted 12 different people in the "New Jersey" area, well that's what they say. Come to find out a majority of them are out of state and just want to ship us dogs and when we say we are willing to come and pick them up because we want to see the puppies we get the run around. 90% of the people contacted live nowhere near NJ and want money to ship the dog. Don't think so!
They don't vet their sellers. The one from San Jose tried to sell me a registered miniature poodle and ship it both for 650.00. Remember if it sounds too good to be true it is!
I am a retired Federal worker and my wife and I lost our 15.5 yr old bichon to old age last week. We wanted another Bichon so I contacted a 'seller' on this site (via text) who was advertising 5 Bichon Friese puppies for sale for $500ea. The ad said they were in Sanford, NC abt an hour from where I live. They forwarded several pictures of what they claimed were 11 week old Bichons. When I said I would drive to Sanford and pick out a puppy they asked for $200 via Applepay specifically via Apple 'Friends &Families'. That set off my IT Security 'spidey sense' (I was an IT Security Officer in the Federal Gov before I retired.) I said I would not do that but I could send it via paypal. They said they would have to use their daughter's paypal acct and sent me an email address & name. Paypal had no record of that name having an account and would not send any money through the email address. When I told them I could not send them any money but would drive to Sanford the next day and pay full price, they ceased communicating. Looking at the pictures more closely, they appear to be random photos of Bichon Puppies as one photo had a black person's hands holding the puppy another had a white person's hands. This is end of January yet two of the photos were outside with trees fully leaved and bright green grass.

This guy named Andrew Thaggard sold puppies for 800 dallors including shipping. So I paid$ 800 and he is telling me to pay $4000 more! I thought it wasn't reasonable so I told him I wanted my money back and I didn't want the puppy anymore but he wouldn't give me a refund. Now he is saying that I abandoned when I didn't even see the puppy. I am sooo mad I lost $800. Never trust this sight you guys.
We don't have a seller named Andrew Thaggard registered with our website. You might have our website confused with another?
Also dealt with trying o buy corgi from "Andrew taggart". Seemed to be clearly bogus transaction. Told DOGSNOW site and see a day later they gave not taken his ad down. Not even his real name.
We don't have any ads placed by a user with the name Andrew Taggart. Please contact support@dogsnow.com if you think there is a seller who might be scamming buyers. Also, you can "flag" and ad as a scam.
I emailed and texted at least 4 people and they have all been scams. A lady named Jeney Morgan. Phone number *******257. I asked her if my brother would be able to go and visit the puppy and she refused. I asked her about the shipping and it was all fake. All the people I emailed from dogsnow have all been scams. SO PLEASE BEWARE!
While we strive to keep the website free from bogus ads, sometimes they slip through. We have an ad flagging feature for this very reason. But you are correct... it's always best to be cautious with any transaction and especially when red flags are raised.
Texted and spoke to this scammer cell#*******041. Sent pics and a video that can be Googled that was posted/dated in 2013. The video can be found on YouTube under Cute Blue French Bulldog Puppy. Scammer telling stories about his mum dying and wanting the puppy to go to a Christian home! He says he works in Washington DC, staying in Maryland, the Dogsnow post list Franklin Lakes, No. This guy is pure evil! Don't send him your hard earned money! DO NOT USE THIS SITE!
A woman named sydney is advertising Shiba Inus using pictures from my moms website. These are my mom's puppies, not Sydney's! No way to report fraud, or contact the website to let them know. Poor customer service!
Our website has a link to "flag" a suspect ad. Also, a support ticket can be submitted explaining the situation. It appears this post was submitted intentionally with a negative review without even trying to flag the ad or contact us.
This site is nothing but a SCAM. Looking for a Great Dane puppy. Contacted seller, sent me a sob story, which I believed. I thought who could make up such a sad story to just to sell dogs. Long story short I am out 300.00 dollars. I have been in touch with MoneyGram, FBI and the local police. These scumbags play on the hearts of people who want to give loving homes to animals. When they try to scam the next person, I hope whatever story they tell them happens to them.
Tip for consumers:
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE.
Zed Wilmer took 1300 from us for a German Shepherd Puppy
The puppy never came and dogs now phone is no longer
Emails are gone too
Zed Wilmer had a friend call us in personating A police officer
We don't like to hear stories like this. Zed Willmer does not have an account with us so we're not sure where you might have found the ad for the puppy. Maybe a different website? You mention "Digsnow" which is not us. Also, we provide a link on our site to a help page describing different types of scams and all sorts of warnings to be careful, especially when sending money online to someone you don't know and for a dog that hasn't been seen or checked out thoroughly. It's always favorable to deal locally.
DogsNow seems to bring in a lot of interested families looking for puppies. It is very easy to use, and the review process is great to help weed out scams and spam posts. Being able to search by zip code and location is a great feature, and it's easy to write a TON about your puppies in the description box. You're able to post one picture for free, and the ad stays up for 3 months. I've been using it for several years now, and it has only helped increase the visibility of my puppies. The only thing I would tweak about it is where it says "male, female, mixed"... mixed is not a good term to use when referring to puppies, as it implies they are mixed breed. Someone please change this word to "male & female"! Thanks! :)
Maltese puppies for sale in brentwood wood nc. Ended up being a guy named Emanuel petit in Pennsylvania. I asked for a pic of his ID I got a phot shopped one which I found on google. Don't seND anyone money unless it's on paypal where your safe. Always go with your gut!
These people are free to call us a scammer with no cause and certainly no proof,,, which they dont seem to care about proof or resolvement of an issue. I couldnt get them to give us a fair shake,,,,, and said how do you get good animals and breeders on this sight if you dont have any idea who you are talking to or dealing with?,,,,,, or what is your price to stay on the sight?,,, these people are nasty to deal with and you are guilty instantly which tells me they are covering for something else,,,,, cause I know I am legitimate,,,,! Think they are letting fellow breeders cut off their competition,,,, oldest scam in the book!
No use with these people,,
My mom found a puppy on here and went and contacted a woman and ended up sending 500 to have the puppy shipped to her and they then asked for 1200 more for insurance and my mom and her husband said no so the 500 is gone it was a scam. Going to the FBI this week. My mom is so hart broken.
Horrible! This site is crawling with scams. I was very interested in a puppy that ended up being a scam. I researched the email the supposed owner was contacting me from and it popped up in multiple places. I looked up how to not be scammed and was very surprised to find every question the advisors said I should ask when asked caused the person to not respond to me. So I went and found there were the same pictures of the same dogs in supposed different locations. And boy do the scammers keep their mask up well with a good story. I sent a message to Dogs Now saying it was high on the list of priority and it's reporting multiple scams and 2 days later they still have not responded. Do not use this site unless you want to pay money for a dog you'll never get! Don't be fooled. Especially when the site takes their sweet time about getting back to you on something so urgent! I would proudly give them zero stars for ratings.

Don't use this site unless you want to have your money, and identity stolen from you and your family.

We're not sure what the monthly fee you describe is? We don't charge monthly for ads, and in fact listings can be placed FOR FREE on our website, unless of course you'd like to place a premium ad. Also, we don't respond to ads as you suggested. We simply provide the means to connect buyers to your ad. The rest is up to you to make a sale. I think you might have us confused with another website.
