Their banning policy is archaic. They'll listen to anyone who has a complaint and when they can't stand it any more they'll pick a comment and say that is why someone was removed from the site. It doesn't matter if the comment is 15 days old, either. They don't give warnings as they state they do...well not as frequently as they state. They also lie. They are pruning that site to be liberal more than it is right now.

When there is a thread that is complaining about how someone was ban ( http://current.com/items/91797095_rantings-of-a-crazy-$#*!/75.htm ) and people think that it was wrong you are not running the site wisely.

I have seen other forums. They find things that people say that are wrong the day it happens. If they need more staff maybe they shouldn't have fired so many a while ago. Can't run it right, you might as well not run it at all.

The below review is not wrong. He is right. It is a great place...well it was a great place. They are ruining it by the changes they are making and they are not listening to the people that made it popular and yes I am one of those people. They'll use you and then toss you. Worse than a ex.

They do not think that they are at all wrong when they decide to do something and they don't discuss any comment with anyone. They dictate like a dictator what is and isn't ok.

Current use to be a great place but they now let those who hate, instead of those that love that site, dictate what should and shouldn't be done.

This site is going to die if it is to continue being ran as it is. It already has less membership than a website you pay to use. If they were up to listening to others it would thrive.

I am sad that that Current has gotten rid of their user content and have turned into any other 24 hour news station. It's no longer cool or innovative. And you'll get more unbias news from YahooNews than this site.

I was being harrangued by one of their insane regulars after she didn't like my reply to someone else many posts after my post. She followed me the rest of the evening commenting, insulting on all my past comments and flagging them and threatening that she would "flag every post you've made". I had no idea anyone would find them to be against the rules, but they were...............according to the team of 2.
But, her harassment went unthwarted as wellas her flagging every post I made (which created a logjam they said). She even started a special thread to complain of her imaginary complaints that I was following her on the site and giving her thumbs down............I had no idea that I was even "following" her as I'd only been a member for less than a day and certainly had not been giving her thumbs down in that manner. I have no idea of how I began "following" her, but her paranoia seems to have worked.

Never mind, though, she threw a cursing fit and they followed obligingly. They've just fed a monster who will just keep it up. Yes, I'm conservative as well. the horrible, horrible name-calling that goes on there is allowed........if it's against a conservative poster or political figure.

Not a good place unless you enjoy reading myths and untruths with absolutely no research any comment they've read and reposted as it it were the truth, or researching any of their comments before they make them. A total hate fest of anything conservative, making comments that actually mirror what liberals are doing.

Total ignorance, and most likely very young and uneducated.

Horrible site. Uninformed posters who act like a gang of bullies, cursing, ganging up on those that oppose them, insulting, and then crying like a baby to the moderators if they are answered in kind. Moderators then comply by deleting the offending opposing posts (conservatives) while allowing the offensive and rule-breaking posts of the uninformed to remain.

Calling someone a "moron" is OK if it's a conservative, but calling someone "uneducated" if it's a liberal gets posts deleted "because it breaks 'our' rules".

Give me a break!

Bad experience overall. Young crowd, abusive language, cursing allowed, moderation biased and cowardly in my opinion regarding the crowd already mentioned. Don't waste your time if you are wanting intelligent discourse. This isn't the place.
