I would just like to take a moment and write a brief review on a book. I ordered here from Stacy l Lyn Harris Love language of the south Whether you are familiar with her or not, you need to get this book. It is an in-depth look at the life of Stacy Lynn and her recipes my favorite, being granny, southern fried chicken the photos are spectacular, professionally done, tremendous insight into this woman and chef and entrepreneur and wonderful Christian lady, do yourself a favor and buy this book I assure you you will not be disappointed. You can find her as the host of the sporting chef.!

Straight to the point. This is my first order and last from this business. They charged the amount, and later I received an email saying that my product was on hold until I called them back to verify the billing address. So after they charged to my bank account? Umm, It's crazy. At the end of the day, I requested a cancellation order because I don't have time to be calling for something already processed but on hold. Conclusion: Go to another place to buy to save time. Thanks

I purchased 2 book and was unknowingly signed up for a monthly Subscription charging me $16 and some change. I have disputed the charges. Please review Better Business reviews before buying.

I ordered a book called "Believers Baptism," edited by Shreiner. The book itself did come in, but afterward, I was unknowingly signed up for a subscription. When I tried to cancel, they would not email me back. I tried to call, but the phone was always "busy." I ultimately had to cancel my card because of this. Do not fall for this and go with more trustworthy online stores.

Overall nice business with a great selection to choose from, with very easy to read information. Unfortunately, after 4 orders of multiple books, 2 orders had damaged material. I don't think it is from shipping, it looks more like a tear. And even though its small, I assume the regular customer is looking for perfection when buying. I expect a near mint item when the order is for a new condition book.

Chistianbook.com will sell your product that they don't have! Then, while you are waiting for your product, they will send you a notice if they don't have it and tell you a future date when your product can be in and then update it again to a further future. After a year of waiting, I canceled my order. Extremely disappointing.
THIS WAS NOT A ONE TIME OCCURRENCE! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!

Be careful shopping in this site. You may unwittingly get enrolled in a rewards program that will charge you 14.95 a month. In my opinion, this is a total scam. Buyer Beware!

I purchased The Amplified Version ( of The BIBLE) but, when I received THE "WORD", while checking ( my new? BOOK), I was surprised that the first pages(s) were a little torn! So, I submitted that problem to The Company & I received my quick response & my Blest report: Another BIBLE will be given 2 me, free of cost but! No need of returning The other BIBLE ( slightly distorted) to The Company... yeah! &! I received my new BIBLE on my BirthDay! (05.24.1951)... Praise! THE " LORD"!

Must b new but, if not new, I must b notified.

I bought an ACT prep guide from this website back in June. I just noticed today that they've been charging me $15.00/mo since for a discount membership that I NEVER signed up for. It was obviously done automatically. When I called their customer service number to inquire what the charge was and ask how I enrolled in the discount program the representative was not sympathetic and very matter of fact. This is a very shady practice for a company claiming to be "Christian". Be careful when ordering from this company.

Be careful of this company automatic enrollment in $15/mo discount membership .... very shady.

I have been buying from Christianbook.com for several years. Most of the time I am happy with them. What I do not like is the books are not all Bible based, therefore not Christian. I have to be really careful when choosing books for myself, or others. It isn't an easy task. I would love to give a higher rating, and am tempted to give a lower rating. Yes I will continue to buy from them.

Be careful about the books you buy. Not all Biblical.

We ordered a Funeral Pall on July 5,2022 which was supposed to be delivered Mid July and so far we
Have received at least 6 notices that shipment has been delayed. After calling each time, we were promised we would receive it in about a week. The last notice received yesterday stated it would be delayed until Oct 7,2022... This will probably not happen.
I think they want us to cancel because of a $40 price increase. Be careful if you order from them!

Don't believe what they tell you.

They are charging credit cards for orders never ordered by the customers. They start small and than move to a larger amounts until you notice. I found 3 charges over a 5 day period ranging from $8 to $130. When you call them they say their systems are down and cannot take calls. I needed a book for homeschool in 2020 and had no choice due to shortages (Covid) of homeschool materials otherwise I would have never ordered from them and have NOT since.

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT give them your financial information.

I used 1 product (science book) in 2020. NOTHING since but charged for books I have no idea what they are.

Cost over $30 after tax, worth less than $3. As you can see by the accompanying photo, this book not even as thick as my TV remote. There is absolutely nothing in this book that most high school students don't already know.
I've spent less than $30 for books that are over 5" thick, and that contained more information than you could digest in 6 months.
VERY disappointed. The advertising copy for this product is all puffery.

You are wasting your money.

Slow shipping, address entered at their web page changed and item ordered has bounced. So, if I want this product sent to me again they declare they will charge extra postage and as I have not received the order at the mailbox then they will not refund the original postage. I tried to call: "Our phones are not working at this time." Okay.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS OUTFIT.

Only 2 stars because shipping was through FedEx. I've ordered from cb many times but they keep using FedEx, and today after many lies like "attempted delivery", I found out my box had never even left the facility. In order to stop it from being sent back to CB, I drove 45 miles and stood outside in the rain to talk through a speaker at fed ex and finally get my package after 4 days of "out for delivery" notifications. I would gladly pay more for better shipping. I won't buy from them again until they provide more shipping options.

Pay for higher end shipping if possible

I ordered this for my 7yr old grandaughters birthday. It is so cute! Made very well, makes "ka ching " noise when opening drawer, comes with money and play credit card to swipe. She will love it to play "store"... added bonus is it will help with her adding numbers and subtracting numbers. It deserves 5 stars, but, i gave 4 stars because it was back ordered and took a month to come in

Unfortunately I fell for this - I was placing an order and saw a button it said to click on to join the rewards program and save the shipping charge, so I did, then afterwards found out that it signs you up for an $18/mth auto-draft charge and it also doesn't remove the shipping charge, they apparently send that back to you at some later date, and of course it offers this to you AFTER they already have your credit card info. Whoever heard of paying for a loyalty program? And not stating that's what you're signing up for up front is pretty crooked. Too bad a Christian-based company operates this way.

I put a wallet for $13.99 in the cue and started the payment process. At checkout, a $5.99 handling fee, plus shipping showed up. Who charges a handling fee, and for almost half the cost of the item? I cancelled the order.

We ordered a school curriculum and we received the wrong book. They apologized and resent the order and then resent the same wrong book again. Now we are two weeks late on the curriculum we need. They said they would send the order with two day shipping and now we get an email that they had their inventory wrong and they cannot fill the order at this time. We called to complain and their was no effort to correct the problem. They simply did not care and when we explained what happened and said we were going to leave a negative review they simply said "ok" with no apology or effort to rectify the problem. Very poor customer service. Very disorganized. This is the second time we've had problems with them listing inventory they don't actually have. We will not support this business again. They have lost us as a customer!

I've been buying on line from ChristianBook going on three years and never had a problem with this company I did a lot of my Christmas shopping on line last year with them and saved me a lot of time and money, I got free shipping and packages were mailed to my love ones so I didn't have to deal with the stores and post office

Purchased a bible with the intent on receiving what I ordered. Surprise it was not! Their service made an attempt to correct the issue but was not able. The item they listed was not what I recieved. I truly do not believe they have any intent on providing you what you purchased. When they realized that I was not going away, they offered to refund my purchase when I returned both incorrect bibles. I refer to this as the old bait and switch activity.

Though all the products I have ordered, I've been very satisfied, the customer service is terrible and the shipping takes forever. If you need a product in a hurry, order from somewhere else. The wait is rediculous.
