My company deals with an international supplier that gives us pretty good deals on bulk purchases of electronics, we recently attempted to "good faith" business with these people, and they quite literally went from 1100 per down to 600 per for brand new items (only opened to inspect the barcodes). It's a super scam! I sent them my laptop that I had a professional remove my hard drive from. The professional can attest that the laptop was fully functional before being shipped to them. They sent me pictures of a broken laptop and told me the screen wasn't working and that now my laptop is worth nothing. The broken laptop in the pictures doesn't even look like it's mine. They are horrible! DO NOT TRUST THEM!

This is a bait and switch operation. The idea is to tempt you to send in a laptop by suggesting a decent value for it - on a four point scale starting with "Brand New / In original packaging " to "Poor", with a suggestion that any non-functional machine falls into this category. With a slick pre-paid postal service on offer, it's very easy to send off your laptop with a notion in mind that unless it is trashed, it will fetch a reasonable price as a used machine, still perfectly functional. Once the machine is received by them, expect an email stating that because of clear signs of wear and tear i. E. minor, buffable scratches to the laptop casing, it is rated 2 categories below what you appraised it at. And now they have you - you have to send a prepaid label to them for them to mail your laptop back to you, meaning you end up out of pocket unless you take their crappy deal. They have very obviously (in retrospect) engineered a high rating on TrustPilot to provide a veneer of confidence in what they are doing. It's only sites like this one that provide the inconvenient truth.

Tip for consumers:
It would be a simple matter for companies like this to conduct an online appraisal of any machine before it is shipped, and then offer a firm price. Instead, they reel you in with a good value then slash it by 90% upon receipt of your machine. Criminal

Products used:
They want you to pay for return shipping once they have offered a shamefully low price, meaning that you will always end up out of pocket if their appraisal differs from yours.

Used there website and got a quote for my laptop for about 300 to 360 and it was a great laptop no reason to junk it at all and when i sent it in i got an email for a quote for only 23 dollars them trying to say that it has a bunch of body damage the hard drive was faulty and it was missing one key from the keyboard (a windows key). They then sent me pictures of the lid of the keyboard which was dirty from them and the keyboard with the backlit keyboard off trying to say the hard drive was bad and it wouldnt turn on. But i had gotten pics of it right before i sent it so i knew they where lying. I got my computer back ( after paying 30 dollars in shipping) and sold it on ebay for alot more then even there brand new quote

Tip for consumers:
never use this site

As with all the other reviewers... I was too quoted a wonderful price at cash for laptops.com given a bad offer. Tried their customer care number, rude people are there at their customer care department, they just argue with you and don't do anything... they need to get more better people in their customer support... In the end, I gave up because I don't have that much time to waste with them... made a bad decision when sending my laptop to cashforlaptops.com.

I have sold laptops through the Internet before. Cashforlaptops quoted me over $150 for my 1 year old Toshiba laptop. I told them it was not functioning and would not turn on. I never got an email stating what they were going to give me after inspection. I received $53! I called and they said they sent out an email regarding the amount, finally I found one email in my junk folder, and after that they said my phone has been recycled. This place is a scam. Don't sell your laptop to them for pennies.

Recently, I sent in my Samsung Phone in an excellent "just out of the box" condition. All accessories were included. The Cashforlaptops.com took website quoted me $180, but after they had my phone in their custody, they only provided $77. They are still quoting $200 for a trade value for this device. They didn't respond to any of my questions once I finally got hold of someone after 10 minutes waiting period. Never again will I deal with them! They Just make fool of you and rip you off.

After sending in two Nokia Phones, both in good condition, for which Cashforlaptops quoted me $160 in total, I got an email saying that they will pay me only $110. Without a doubt, I rejected their offensive offer and demanded my money back. I had to literally fight them for my phone and because I had called them within the 5 days as stated in their policy, I was able to get my phone back. They need to improve their customer service so that they don't waste the customers time arguing over a device.

Do not trust Cashforlaptops.com. I was originally quoted $205 online and after trusting their process and sending them my iphone, they sent me a check for $110! I contacted their customer service, but the uncooperative woman gave me useless excuses to justify their quoted amount. After a really long telephone conversation, they offered me $20 more. Being absolutely annoyed and frustrated with their service, I accepted their new offer. But I would suggest to everyone not to waste their time with this website!

Cashforlaptops quoted me a very attractive price initially, and then, turned around to give me an absurdly small amount. After about 2 weeks of emailing and calling them non-stop, I was able to get a little more money out of them. Nothing close to what I was initially quoted though. Don't waste your time with this company. Take my warning seriously. I am still waiting to see if I get the additional money which I was promised.

After sending in two iPhones that Cashforlaptops.com valued at almost $200, I received an email stating that I was only getting a combined $110 for both my iPhones. I immediately rejected the offer and demanded my money back. I'm still waiting for something to come of it. Really getting pissed, please someone help me to get my device back. They are liars.

I sent Cashforlaptops my perfectly good iPhone 4S as I found them on a comparison site and they seemed to come up with the best price. I sent it away hoping to get about £150 as it was in perfectly good condition, after numerous emails and constant phone calls I have now realized that it has gone. They don't answer their phones... they seem to always be busy and put you on hold, they don't reply to your emails! NOTHING!

I was quoted $155 online and after trusting them with their given quote, I sent in my Samsung Phone to them. Two weeks later, they sent me a check for $100! I called them right away and the unhelpful executive gave me worthless excuses to validate their quoted amount. After discussing with their purchasing department, Cashforlaptops offered me $30 more. I accepted their new offer because they left me with only one option. I will never use cashforlaptops for any trade-ins.

I sent my Samsung Note 2 a couple of months ago to trade for money, but never received it. I check my account on Cashforlaptops and it stated money transaction was successful, but that was far from true. I contacted them many time by their website's contact page, but never got any response back.

If I could rate it lower, I would. I shipped my Sony Laptop to them. My laptop was working perfectly. Initially, they quoted me 150.00. After receiving my Laptop, they said they will pay me $65 instead of $150. That was so annoying! I called their customer service immediately. Luckily, I got a really polite customer service person with whom I could discuss the price and bring it up to $125. I would have much rather preferred that they sent my phone back to me so I could sell it on eBay instead. But hey! I'll take whatever came my way!

Cashforlaptops offered me $83 for my laptop. After they received it, they said they weren't going to buy it at all and could "recycle it for me" and offered me a $30 gift card which they would add to my next purchase.

They completely lie in their advertising. They want to recycle my product and make money doing that paying me 50% or less. Avoid this company!

I sent in a 18 month old iPhone 5 and was quoted $120. The phone had a case, protective screen and worked perfectly. A received a check for $10 two weeks later and when I called to inquire they said phone had multiple problems and $10 was fair market value. When I requested to have phone back because I believe that are full of BS they stated I already passed some deadline and the phone was recycled. "Melanie" stated nothing they could do. This company is a scam! Stay away!

Cashforlaptops.com sent me a quote of $197.00 for my phone. THEY REFUSED TO RETURN MY PHONE, then sent $77.00 to PayPal. Seriously! My phone was in excellent condition would understand if they sent a reduced value but honestly $77.00. Waited 30 minutes on hold to talk to a representative who basically said they have recycled my phone and I can't get it back. So, I didn't have any other option than taking their $77 offer.

Cashforlaptops failed to live up to my expectations. They offered me $205 for my used laptop, but when I sent them my laptop, they sent me a check for $150 instead. How awful is that!? How can they do this to me? I was appalled! I just want the word to get out and warn everyone against using cashforlaptops for any kind of electronics.

Please save yourself from trouble and do not send your phone to Cashforlaptops.com. As they say, if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably isn't. This company has no intention of paying you their first offer or returning your phone. I wish I had read the reviews before I sent my phone to them. The company is untruthful.

It wasn't worth my time. If I could rate it lower, I would. I sent my Samsung Phone: working, no scratches, etc. to which they initially said 200.00. Cashforlaptops.com did send a shipping box fast enough. This should have been a warning sign! After receiving my phone, they said they are willing to pay me $95 instead of $200. Apple would have given me $100 more! Annoyed, I called the customer service rep. Fortunately, I got a really nice customer service person with whom I could negotiate the price and bring it up to $145. I would have much rather preferred that they sent my phone back to me so I could sell it at the apple store instead. I LEARNED MY LESSON in this very first time dealing with them. I will stay away from them in the future.

Cashforlaptops gives you amazing quotes online, then without informing you, they give you a minimal price for your device. Besides, you only have five days to request for your device to be returned back to you. They will insist you to phone in your request and not email it. This is when I called cashforlaptops to get my device back. Although, I got connected to a customer service representative in a short time, he simply said no to my request and refused to send my phone back. Our discussion continued for long, but to no avail. Terrible experience. Don't deal with cashforlaptops!.

STAY AWAY- absolute scam. They promised $250 and I got $35 back! I COULD NOT GET MY PHONE BACK EITHER!
I was offered $250 for an iphone 5s and then wanted to give me 35 because the box was missing and I did not call you within 5 days per T&C even though I explained I just had a baby and was in hospital for 4 days. No sympathy about the situation and the only solution was to give $25 more! Despite your terms and conditions I will report this scam is unbelievable and unethical
