I had a great experience with Canon tech support. The rep was extremely competent and resolved my issue professionally. I used Epson in the past and their customer service was an utter disappointment. It's like night and day when you compare. I'm glad I switched to Canon as their printers and service is far superior.

“Drop your Canon, Hold Your Receipts!”

Canon makes products that tend to break down fast, especially printers! Sadly, I've had two that broke well within the 3 yr warranty Canon allows. Canon also has the worst support process ever! Although you get a 3 year warranty, even after having to register your products, but when the junks breaks down you must supply a receipt!... Who still keeps receipts?! Both times I received some random error that I could not personally fix. It seems a little strange to receive error messages that can't be corrected by the customer! Hmmm!... I wonder how many others Canon has trapped with these tactics... guess its a way to make money! So sad! Lesson to learn, hold on to your receipts!

Der Onlne-Support von Canon ist sehr umständlich. Z.B.: Man kann online um einen Kostenvoranschlag für eine Reparatur ansuchen - sehr viele Details müssen eingegeben werden: Name, Adresse, Telefon, Produkt-Nr, Serien-Nr, Kaufdatum, etc. etc... fehlt eine Eingabe, dann sind plötzlich alle vorher eingegebenen Daten GELÖSCHT. Und man muß alle Daten noch einmal eingeben, und wieder gelöscht.

Placed an order for CLI-65 8 pack ink cartridge package. It was listed as in stock ordered and should have been sent within 7 days. 2 weeks later nothing. Call to check on status of the order found it was on backorder. Pulled up the web site and it still shows as in stock. Cancelled the order with Canon and Customer support was pretty worthless in failing to acknowledge false advertising on their web site. Usually why I go with Epson products.

Tip for consumers:
Don't believe their web site as it is not properly maintained to reflect if items truly are in stock or not.

Don't trust the crooks. They will not pay you the cash. I bought from their own online store and still they reject the claim.
Should have been zero stars for a Zero trustowrthy company.

My recent interaction with Canon's warranty department has been nothing short of frustrating and disheartening. I purchased a Canon product with the expectation that their warranty would provide me with peace of mind and support in case of any issues. However, my experience has been quite the opposite.

Firstly, trying to navigate the process of making a warranty claim was unnecessarily convoluted. The instructions provided were vague and unclear, and it took several attempts to even figure out how to initiate the process. When I finally managed to submit my claim, the response time was excruciatingly slow. It felt like my case was being neglected or ignored, which is far from the responsiveness I would expect from a reputable company's warranty department.

After weeks of waiting, I was informed that my claim was denied due to reasons that were not adequately explained. It was baffling to receive such a response after investing time and energy into following their instructions. When I attempted to communicate further to seek clarification, the lack of empathy and understanding from their representatives was deeply disappointing. It was as if they were more interested in closing the case quickly than in actually assisting a customer in need.

In a world where customer support and warranty services can make or break a brand's reputation, Canon's warranty department falls drastically short. The inefficiency, lack of transparency, and dismissive attitude have left me frustrated and regretful of my choice to invest in their products. This experience has certainly made me question whether I can rely on Canon's warranty for any future purchases.

I have a CanonTR7020 printer and am being forced to participate in the printer ink program. I canceled the ink program because of lousy customer service and that was months ago. Yesterday, I received an email saying my printer ink participation is canceled and now I cannot print. I get a message that the printer cannot communicate with the corporate office to measure my ink levels so I cannot print. That is ridiculous. I should have the choice of participating in the ink program or not. This happened when I first bought the printer 2 years ago so I relented and set up the ink program against my better judgement. Their customer service is lousy. I will be buying a new printer and definitely not a Canon. I will tell everyone I know not to buy Canon printers. I will even post it on social media.

This review is regarding a canon product.
I bought a canon RP 2 months ago and now. The touch is not working now. I just send it to the store because it is under a warranty. But after 10 days of waiting, they said they have received a damaged part (I mean this is the worst thing. Canon suppliers didn't check the part or accessories while sending. Also, I'm having trouble I have to do a photoshoot. Now I have to say to my customers. This is all about reputation). Still, they said to wait for 1 week at least I mean they are not stuck on their words. The worst thing that has happened to me. I just give a 0.5/10 to canon products and its facilities.

Understand that Canon's first and only concern it seems is selling as much printer ink cartridges as possible. Their last concern if any is post sales Customer support and Service. Buy a Canon Printer if you want to be on your own to solve any technical problem that may come up. Their online help is overly complicated and pretty much useless. So are their manuals. Call to speak to a Customer Service Agent and quickly realize that their product knowledge is either poor or non existent.
On a recent call I was told that further research was required to solve two relatively easy questions about difficult to find features and settings for my printer. I was promised a call back to resolve the issue once "more information was found". You guessed it, that call never came even when the agent told me she would guarantee a call back. I'm done with Canon. Once they have your Money they simply don't care.
There are many Good to Excellent Printers on the market place at the same Price Point or better than Canon with Genuine and Professional Customer Service. It's not as if Canon is the leader of state of the Art innovations in consumer printing. Even if it was I would never buy another Canon product because of their corporate arrogance and their shoddy, basically non existent customer service. Buyer Beware.

They make you get a software to download your pictures and is complicated for people that are not tech savvy. I had to buy a memory card to get my pictures.

Get a memory card so you can easily get your pictures.

I have had multiple issues with my printer staying connected to the internet and every time I call I am only directed to one specific department that is never open during the hours that I am available to trouble shoot with the customer service agents over the phone. I almost am always suggested to double check my connection in the "app", but each representative refuses to help walk you through any part of the app because it has to deal with it being a printer. Customer service should be about helping others, not making your customers jump through 12 hoops to print a piece of paper.

If you are not tech savy, find a company with great customer service!

I needed help printing something on my printer. In the past. Customer support was very good. Now... I got connected to a foeighner who only tried to push a service package and was very unhelpful. I would NOT buy a Cannon product again based on very poor customer service.

I have NEVER purchased a Canon printer and now I know why. It is horrible to setup and actually impossible I have always purchsed HP and now I know why. It automatically makes connections while Canon makes you jump through all kind of hoops and then NEVER CONNECTS. Horrible and will return and NEVER BUY A CANON PRODUCT. Want proof of purchase but since CAN NOT USE PRINTERhave no way to send.

I raised service request as printer error.
They send a engg who I fee just know cleaning and limited knowledge to fix issue.
In printer sensor was loos and getting tear out and he know this very well.
Even I asked him if any part replacement do that but he just placed the sensor and test single paper.
The movement he left immediately I given 20 page doc printing and it's again same issue.
I called and asked why he didn't tested and if part replacement needed why he didn't suggested.
Because to do that he has to visit house again.
So this guy just did a quick fix and created mess. I asked him to come and look then he didn't ready and fixing.
Customer care is again asking to open new ticket and pay them for same issue which is still open.
Look like canon customer care and there center are cheating customers.

My Canon EOS M50 Mark ll is at the Repair Center in CA and I got notice that I have to pay the price of $247 if I want them to do the repair! The repair is about the display of the LCD that does not function anymore since my camera is just out of warranty. The LCD started to go on and off about 2 month after warranty quit, and it was like that for a while until the display completely quit. It must be only a contact problem, and they want me to pay that much to have it fixed, what is totally outrageous!
This Camera must be a Monday model, ha!... a big waste of money, since I also bought a nice Tele Lense with it, that I now can not use anymore!
Then the 15-45 lese that went with that Camera in a package sale has a problem as well. If I put it onto the camera it does not release a closing position. The Lens stays closed and does not allow photo. I sent it in with the camera and they are NOT DOING A REPAIR ON IT, and want me to pay the full amount of a refurbished lense! What kind of Service or Repair is THAT? So for the amount of money I have to spend on the repair on my Camera and lense I can buy a refurbished set... is that what a service repair should be?
I am done with Canon now, especially since my photographer friends tell me that I should better not have purchased a Canon from the M series...!

Have not had my printer more than a month and a half and paper jam tried to do exactly as canon showed paper still jammed can't remove it no help from customer service all I see is they are not responsible Blah Blah so am sorry I bought it and also still have new cartridges so sad

Over all I am really happy with this little printer! I would recommend it to anyone! If you needed a high volume printer for big business, this is probably not that but for home office or photo enthusiasts who just need an awesome photo printer/copier/ scanner… I didn't regret buying it.

I volunteer at HelpOwl.com (under the name Odin) to assist folks with a broad range of products including the widely used Canon products. For many years Canon's online support was comprehensive and top-notch, maybe the best in the business. For an inexplicable reason Canon has removed entirely that support site and substituted this new one, which is rarely helpful. I've tried by both email and phone to find out what's behind the change, but cannot. Of course you could always phone Canon but after 90 days phone support will probably cost you.

This website is good but what I do not like are the prices of all the goods. You guys have been there even before I was born. It would be better if you kind of dropped your prices. Apart from that your products are great and they work very nice. They are better than these cheap products on the market these days.

I have had to make about 3 calls to canon in the past week (to resolve my mistake). Every time, they have been insanely helpful and extremely patient and polite. I genuinely enjoyed the whole process. Shoutout to them for hiring quality representatives and training them to resolve issues quickly.

There is no other manufacturer I turst to make better cameras if not canon. I have bought quite a few goods fromt their store and not oce have I ever been dissapointed. Canon offers quality and that is why I will always prefer it. The price is high because of that reason but that should not be a major concern.
