This is a Chinese site, selling wholesale Chinese products. And in my earlier review I made an incorrect assumption, that it was pretending to be something it isn't.
However, I went back and took a look at the About Us page, where it clearly states exactly what they are and what they sell. So beware of reading only the front page of a site like this and look around first before jumping to conclusions as I did.
Mind you, given that it is a Chinese wholesaler of replica goods, you can expect either poor customer service or no customer service at all. And product quality is likely to be the usual replica quality, which is fairly poor. You may not even get any goods at all.
So even though they've being up-front about their nature, it's probably best if you buy from a more reliable source, and buy the genuine articles instead of Chinese replicas.
This one might have gotten a star from me for at least being honest, but I see they only accept payment by PayPal or Western Union. Which means this is definitely a dealer to stay away from.
it is so so, ive done orders from here anywhere from 250-500 dollars, reading some of the comments ya they forgot one of mine as well and as far as no contact and the customer service, the e-mails on the site are pretty much useless, i read a bad review like a day after placing an order so i started e-mailing them and no one responded so i went back into my paypal account and opened a dispute and took the e-mail address from their paypal account and e-mailed it, they e-mailed me back and attempted to write as if the e-mail were automated but their english kind of sucks, so i responded again flipping out and then some guy e-mailed me and just asked for my order number and sent it out that night, note that they have about 15 diffrent e-mail addresses none of which are listed and everytime i actually talked with one of them a diffrent one would e-mail back, for the most part im fine with the products a few lil problems here and there but for the price its ok, but if you have or are having problems with them responding just go to the paypal account and e-mail the address you paid and open a dispute, once you go after the money they do whatever you want
I'd like to say I didn't know any better, but I read all the reviews and still ordered. My son and all of his friends were insistent. I told them I'd take no responsibility, so I'd order only if I got the money up front. After collecting the money we placed our order. 11 Jerseys totaling over $400 --- ahhhh and FREE SHIPPING ( ha ha ha ) and like so many other reviews, we received the order quickly but one shirt was missing from the order. By coincidence I’m sure, it was the most expensive shirt in our order. Like so many others, our attempt to contact these jerks failed. One of the boys did not receive his shirt ( out $55) and the others feel funny wearing theirs around the friend who got screwed. So BEWARE, if you’re ordering, expect the same results as many others have gotten --- RIPPED OFF!
I ordered 11 jerseys back in October. Nine arrived fine and are what I would consider very good quality. 1 jersey had a very small hole in the material that was hardly noticeable. 1 Jersey had the name of the player sewn on the back upside down and backwards. After numerous emails i was refunded the money for the one real bad jersey through Paypal. For the price and quality it is worth the risk in my opinion.
I was leary about this site because the price was so cheap but ordered twice the first after x-mas and they were delivered in 4 days, jerseys are great quality and sold they all to friends for double. Don't fear order with confidence
When the prices are too good to be true they are. This site is a HOAX I ordered $600 in jerseys and I did not receive ONE!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!
so what website do u use for jerseys that r cheap
Eh... Sorry to hear that. I have ordered over $1500 worth of product and received everyone
I have found that you generally need to do your orders in smaller quantities. If you didn't receive your order, it was most likely due to customs taking your order, not because of borntrade. If you do smaller orders, customs is less likely to take them. Read up on this stuff before doing huge orders!
Two orders without a problem, But on the third order they did not ship all the jerseys I ordered. They will not reply to emails! The customer service site is useless. Beware!!!
I ordered five jerseys. A white one had a small stain, for which Steven said he would refund my money. However, my problem came with two 2012 Winter Classic Philadelphia Flyers jerseys. I ordered the jerseys thinking they were the offical jerseys to be worn for that game, but they are not. FALSE ADVERTISING! I have emailed Steven several times asking him why the jerseys on the site at the time were advertised as the Winter Classic jersey and he has ignored every on of my emails.
It boils down to this - they are operating out of China. They sell knockoff - thats why the price seems "too good to be true". Reality is they got a boat load of money for Christmas orders - and all of a sudden - IT APPEARS - the feds shut them down - but it is obviously as bogus a website message as their jerseys!! They shut themselves down - and have a lot of peoples money - and they better return the money or its gonna get ugly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i ordered 2 eagles jershey's on the nov 20 site got shut down on nov 26 no jershey yet or money hope to get them or will file a claim
my jershwy came today look very nice would order again if they get a new site let me know
the new site is borntradejersey.com
As of 11/26/10 the site was shutdown by the US government. I never had any problems with this company. I thought the quality was pretty good.
did you get them? i too am waiting on jersey's from the site...
the new site is borntradejersey.com
I have ordered over $1300 worth of product from this site and have had no problem receiving what I ordered. I usually get my order within a week of placing it. I have been very pleased with over 95% of what I have ordered... The 5% I wasn't very pleased with had colors that didnt match up perfectly with the real thing. But in all honesty I didn't mind. To me $25 for a near perfect replica is much better than paying $300 for a "real" jersey to a company that greatly over charges their customers just because they know they can. Not once has anyone questioned the authenticity of any of my jerseys.
"Not once has anyone questioned the authenticity of any of my jerseys."
So you sell fake jerseys as authentic?
No. not at all. I have itegrity. When I wear my jerseys out
$1300 in jerseys? That's more than 50 jerseys, how long does it take to wear one out, then?
actually its not necessarily more than 50 jerseys... Not all are the $25 football jerseys
The site is a Chinese scam site. If your delivery gets flagged by customs you are in deep trouble for importing fake jerseys commercially. 50pcs. is not a private import at all.
again... 50 jerseus if only $25 jerseys were ordered. It is not a scam site, they do not falsely represent and they fp thselves, and it does provide a product for the money they reveive.
Between my daughter and I we've ordered 4 times and spent around $2000 w/this company. The jerseys are great quality I think and never had anyone dissapointed. The selection is great but flucuates often. As long as you see the size of the jersey shown, you will most likely get it if you order it. Don't see the size? Probably not available.
Shipping is done through DHL and a tracking number provided all the way.
Customer service totally sucks as you get "I am Chinese and don't understand english too well so i can't answer your question correctly." Come on! You know they fully understand but they are just a little shady. A little gray-area enough that my butt puckers everytime I order.
I've been told their Mitchell Ness jerseys are not the correct material but I have never seen an actual M & N jersey. (not for $300 I'm not)
I'd rank them an 8/10.
Hey...the jerseys are very good knockoffs. For the price you can't go wrong. Most of the jerseys are a little thinner, material wise than the real ones. But once again for the money you can't go wrong.... for $25 bucks I am not complaining
I ordered 5 jerseys and 2 patches. They all came perfect. Size 48 was exactly what it should have been. This order in America would have cost around $1,000 or more. On this site it was only $160. Ridiculous prices and the quality is unreal. Order from this site at least once. If it doesn't work for you stay away. If it does you just saved yourself a boat load of money.
I've many shirts from this site. The shirts are good for the price. They are knock-offs, but I like em. Occasionally they will mess up on an order, and you have to send them 10 emails before they will respond. Forget refunds, just look for a credit on the next order. No a bad site. For the most part, you'll get what you want, at a good price, in about 4 days.
For the money you can't beat it. The throwbacks are identical. They sent me exactly what I ordered. The current jerseys were close to perfect. The names and numbers are exact. The team logo is very close but if you look real hard it might be slightly off. Unless you really studied it though you would never be able to tell. For $25 a jersey you can't go wrong. I would reccomend them to anyone. I would def give 4 stars if the company enhances the front team logo.
ordered 10 jerseys so i can get the free shipping after emailing back and forth there were many problems and not worth the money some had stains and holes in it and they would not refund the money!
You need to be dealing with the Official websites for the major leagues, like NFLShop.com and NHL.com. They always have sales, and it's worth it to pay a little more and get the genuine article and legitimate service.
dont be a faggot, frank
YES.......shut down by the Feds! Another FILTHY Chinese knock-off scam terminated. Ruthless as always, they stop at nothing, flaunt their criminal activities in the face of law enforcement and rip off unsuspecting people without remorse until FORCED to shut down. At least there's a little justice in the world (sometimes).
Q&A for Borntrade
DO NOT order anything from this company.....ordered 2 jerseys, only recieved 1....even though I had documentation, and an email sayin they would make it right ......paypal decided (45 days later) in there favor....wtf.....$$$$ talks I guess.....
I have ordered over $1500 in product and received every piece

john c. It is clearly a knock-off site. It is a waste of money. Example on a youth majestic phillies jersey size medium - The jersey was smaller than a majestic small and the logo on the front was approximately 30% smaller than a true jersey. On the "authentic Eagles jersey" the front logo was also smaller than on a true jersey. THe stitched numbers are a much cheaper quality. These jerseys have a mesh and a stretch material. The color is off on the stretch. Adult cool base Phillies jersey - material is cheap-cheap polyester, nothing like the true soft cool base material. The fit is weird too. This jersey is unwearable as is my kid's phillies jersey. I got 6 jereseys for $181. Not worth it. If you are ok with wearing a knock-off that looks like a cheap knock-off then this is the site for you.
Cheryl S. I don't understand why Chris O. wrote a reveiw when he's never done business with them. I guess he just likes to give his 2 cents regardless of personal experience. I also ordered form this company and received exactly what I ordered and was very pleased. In addition, I don't know why he considers a company shady becasue they use Paypal or Western Union. I only have experience with Paypal and can say WITH EXPERIENCE that it is the best way to pay. I have used Paypal for years without a single problem. They also refunded my money from a site that accepted orders, but was clearly out of business. So his reviews should be taken with a grain of salt.. Anyone doing business with a company out of this country should be cautious of paying with a credit card. It puts them at risk because the seller then has all your personal information and your credit card number which could easily be sold if the company turns out to be unscrupulous.
Chris O. Ah, you catch me doing nothing much over a cup of coffee right now, so I'm happy to have this discussion at length. Me at length is somewhat more lengthy than others at length, sorry, but it's a big coffee.
If you're genuinely concerned about giving consumers the right information and fair opinion, that's great. Welcome to the community. But Cheryl, if you take the time to look, you will find that PayPal's terms and conditions of service specifically exclude them from any responsibility to assist a buyer who receives fake goods - unless the transaction is made through Ebay. In other words, there is no guaranteed buyer protection with PayPal outside of Ebay. Not my opinion - legal and literal fact.
If you or anyone else is able to persuade PP to break their own rules and refund money as a result of your receiving fake goods, you are lucky, as opposed to being entitled.
In my view, a person should be legally and/or contractually entitled to support regardless of where they buy. I have been personally party to attempts to retrieve money from PP and it is extremely difficult, if not impossible, since they aren't under any legal obligation to do so.
This is not a matter of my opinion or anyone else's; these are PPs terms of service and they may be read freely at the PP website in the very small print.
Secondly, with regard to the goods sold by a site, if they are copies, or if you prefer, fakes, knock-offs, phonies, counterfeit or whatever, both selling and buying them is illegal and if they are intercepted by Customs in any other country they will be impounded.
Fortunately for most buyers in the USA the Customs and Immigration Service does not enforce punitive punishment on people buying fakes from China as yet, probably because of the sheer volume of the trade. However, in the last year the US Customs donated nearly $80,000 worth of counterfeit goods to charities. All had been impounded as people had been trying to bring them in from China. And you may be absolutely certain that if your box of phony jerseys or boots or whatever is found by Customs, that's the last anyone will ever see of it and you will be lucky to get off without a fine or having to pay customs duties.
No way can I encourage anyone to risk dealing illegally. Surely you can understand that. The risks to them are too high.
Thirdly, there is not a single legitimate trading organization that I know of, which endorses the use of Western Union or any form of bank transfer as a method of payment. WU is universally known as the method of preference of scammers everywhere, since cash which changes hands in this way is untraceable. Craigslist, which is the largest international resource for personal trading next to Ebay, has banned the use of WU for years and all CL sites still carry a prominent warning about it, as far as I know.
Fourthly, people buying in bulk from these Chinese operations are extremely unlikely to be buying for personal use, instead selling the fake goods on Ebay as the real thing. It is therefore fairly likely that positive reviews of Chinese traders who deliberately sell fake goods into the west, are made by those most likely to be benefiting from a wholly illegal trade. People do need to take care in whom they read.
Fifthly, the "warning" about using credit cards to buy from foreign dealers is exactly the opposite of the warnings that you would be offered either by independent observers such as myself, or by banks and financial institutions, or by consumer protection organizations. Anyone encouraging buyers not to use the only insured method of payment generally available to the average consumer is placing those buyers at risk.
You would be right, I believe, in warning any average consumer not to trade with anyone they don't know or have no independent information about, regardless of what country they are in. Handing over credit card details to people in the USA or the UK may be equally dangerous actions. Handing your credit card to a waiter in a restaurant or an assistant in a store is dangerous. Allowing your credit card data to be in the hands - literally - of a person who is out of your sight for a moment, is extremely dangerous.
Which is one reason why credit card transactions, alone amongst all others, carry insurance against fraudulent activities. And one reason why the credit card companies may justify the enormous sums charged to use their products.
So if a person is absolutely determined to do business with a dubious foreign site, and has a choice of payment methods, they should always choose the insured method, not WU or some other highly dangerous and unpredictable way to hand over their cash.
If a credit card transaction goes bad, the CC company will, in my experience, eventually refund a customer's money. It may take them a month or more, but it's not hard to prove fraudulent activities and people will eventually get their money back even if some unscrupulous payment processor has been involved.
It is frankly irresponsible to advise people not to use credit cards as a way of payment, if pay they must.
The exception to this rule brings me back to the start of the conversation - PayPal. PP rules are such that if you use a credit card to buy from any dealer other than Ebay or an Ebay company, you are effectively voiding your normal insurance. The reason for this is that the legal contract becomes one between PP and your credit card company, and as long as PP conducts itself in order, there has been no breach of contract even if the dealer has dealt fraudulently and totally ripped you off. The dealer is not part of the contract.
So it is most strongly recommended that you do not use a credit card to buy from Asian dealers through PP, since you lose all the insurance that your credit card would normally offer. Hence, and since the other potential methods are even more dangerous, you are recommended not to buy from these people, at all.
A couple of other observations I think it is worth making: Firstly, the value of the fake clothing business from China to the USA, not including footwear, is officially estimated at around $12,000,000,000 a year. That's twelve billion dollars going out of the home economy and out of the pockets of Americans, whilst people are complaining that there's less and less work here and more and more is being outsourced every year. The total counterfeit trade annually removes hundreds of billions of dollars from the home economies of countries whose citizens and residents are unknowingly or uncaringly depriving their countries of the very resources they complain about losing.
Secondly, it is widely accepted by law enforcement and other government and non-governmental agencies - as opposed to a reviewer whose opinions need to be taken with a pinch of salt - that the Chinese fake trade is responsible for child labor, slave labor, child abuse, human rights abuses, appalling employment standards, and the financial support of international serious crime. When people involved in this business do get arrested, they're often the sort of people who carry guns. You might like to chew on that, over the Season of Goodwill, and in the knowledge that your children aren't being starved and forced into slavery so that the westerners can go on selling fakes to each other.
Yes, you are right about the reviews: my reviews, your reviews and the reviews of any person here all need to be considered carefully, and personal decisions need to be made about how honest and unbiased a review might be. I have no idea who you are or what your motives are, any more than you know anything about me.
Utterly lastly, I went back to my review and looked for anything referring to this business being "shady", since you mentioned it. It's not there, I'm afraid you made that one up. I did suggest it would be a better idea not to buy fakes to begin with, and I think that's a fair enough observation. I even went so far as to suggest the site was being honest, an accolade rarely attracted by sites of this nature. Honestly I see nothing in my comments which is untrue or unfair. Have I done business with this site or not? Who knows. Have you? Who knows. But I do know, for example, that it's a bad idea to do business with, say, criminals, without my having to actually do it in order to find out. Some things don't require personal experience to understand.
It's a fascinating subject. In the USA there is suddenly an entire cottage industry in which thousands of middle class law-abiding Americans are engaged in trading in openly illegal goods, the profits from which are funding further illegal activities, in foreign countries, all directly under the noses of a government which can't afford the time or resources to prosecute everyone. I don't think there's ever been anything like it, but you know, that doesn't necessarily make it OK.
Rob F. Oh well if Craigs List doesn't use them they must "shady". You may not have said it, but you implied it.
Chris O. Just FYI this site has now been seized by Homeland Security.
Rob F. Try the .com extension. Just an "FYI".
Chris O. Hmm, that's odd, because apart from having the official seizure notice all over it, it's also on the official list of seized domains, along with its .net version:
www.ice.gov/doclib/news/releases/2010/domain_names.pdf
So I don't get what you're saying, sorry.
And to answer the first comment, no, I didn't imply that Western Union or PayPal were shady, though they lend themselves too easily to being misused by shady people; and I didn't say that this site was shady either. Illegally trading, yes, but not shady, because it admitted so.
Anyway, if you want to trade with these people, wherever they are now, fine. I have no personal opinions about how you spend your money, and I have nothing against you or what you believe in. But personally I do have an opinion about these traders and l will go on expressing it, because I am sick and tired of reading about people who have been cheated and lost money, or got terrible quality products, or were deliberately misled, and not warned either about the dangers of paying in cash, or the risk that their illegal purchase would be seized by customs officers even if it did get here. I don't have to be hit by a car in order to warn others not to step into the road without looking.
