Just sucks man horrible horrible site I hate this site because it lets people be rude to you in ways that are had to get away with in real life.

I joined this site to talk to someone anonymously because I'm to afraid to talk to the people in my life about my problems. So I thought joining a chat would help me because it would be free of judgement & I could vent. Do not use this site, the 1st listener I connected with was nice but they just randomly disconnected with me right before I was going to tell them what was wrong. So I then decided to get some courage and connect with someone again, they started by asking what was my good traits I thought the question was random so I just said I'm sweet & funny. Lol they then proceed to tell me those aren't good traits a serial killer can be sweet & funny, I instantly disconnected the chat. Seek real therapy with a license therapist please.

This site was created for a good purpose, to help people. I have found that if you find a "listener" on the site that is truly willing to help you out, that its an awesome experience. I found the site while in a dark place and a listener really helped me with that. The unfortunate part is that it is available to anyone with internet access. So you will run into trolls and people that have bad intentions.

It's great when you find a good listener that helps, it's so nice to have someone to talk to who's there for free and has life experience to share. There are a lot of weirdos. The minute I don't like someones energy I just leave and find someone I do like. I think thats how you can avoid the more unsavoury element of public internet.

There were rude and called me bad-mannered for requesting to be referred to by an alias. I clarified that my requested alias was NOT my real name. They called it a nonsense word and asked me why they should use it. They never even let me vent and were rude to me right from the start.They insisted that they were 'kind enough to give me a second chance' even though I never did anything wrong/rude. Another person didn't even read/pay attention to my messages at all and replied with nonsense. Both were very rude and dismissive before I even started talking about my problems. They found it funny when they made me upset.

Most of the negative reviews here are because of an bad Listener. The website itself is quite good, and it's really helped me a lot when I've had problems in my life. It's great to be able to talk to someone anonymously, as a friend. Anyone complaining about a bad Listener matchup obviously didn't read the (very short) conditions written underneath the 'Proceed to Chat' button. I'd recommend this site to anyone who has a simple problem that they want to talk to someone about.

I used blahtherapy for a while both on my computer and my phone as a listener.
I got involved with someone who seems to use this website quite a lot, and who could exactly tell my location every time. My keyboard stopped working correctly after some days. I also heard that some other listeners/ venters on blahtherapy went through the same. So please take extra-caution before using this website.

The purpose of the website is great but the people who join as listeners don't listen at all and give useless advices then just leave, I've also joined chats as a listener but I never leave the chat until I make sure the person on the other end feels better. If you join as a listener please don't be rude because some of us actually need to vent and have no one to listen to.

A few hours back, I was really 'frustrated and angry' with something that happened quite often in my life... but thanks to a member/listener on blah therapy I finally feel like I have some perspective. It took about 3 hours, and the listener was still as kind and patient as ever. You were great, really, thanks!

I felt like I had to do something in return so I decided to do a shout out.

A wonderful site with great people doing great things.

You will not get any help on this site., You will get cussed and bullied off of the site. If you want real therapy, go buy it with some health insurance money.

I would have expected that the listeners go through a process of some type of psychological security clearance, but that is just pure irresponsibility on the part of the developers of BLAH not to do their due diligence with their platform. I'll be avoiding them now after reading all of these bad reviews. I actually wanted to be a helpful listener on there and help people who needed someone to listen to them...

I've been on the site a couple of times. The listeners are the key of course. If you're lucky enough to find a good listener, they'll give you good advice. I do recommend the site. I've personally benefitted from this site. Apt for anyone who wishes to anonymously (for free) and expert advice (for a fee) vent their feelings. No problem is too small. No sadness is too hard to overcome. This site is helping people. No doubt about that.

At first Blah therapy was great, i could have some great discussions with good people but after 2 days of using it I started coming across some really inapropriate and rude people who just wanted to get into conflicts. I do not recommend.

The site itself is very good, the developers themselfs know that random accidental disconnects do occur and made sure that there are ways to reconnect to the person you were talking to. The negative reviews are all about the people, not the site, i have many psychologicals problems myself, yet i fail to see how rude people are a problem with the site, out of my 10 chats at least 7 were positive, as the site is growing, more helpful and harmful people join, thats just how it works, give this site a fair try if you feel like you need people to talk or vent to.

I told the listener on this site that I just needed to vent and that I find it offensive when people offer oversimplified solutions to a complex problem. The listener agreed that oversimplified solutions were annoying, then proceeded to offer flippant and unrealistic solutions as I described the problem I am having. Their suggestions included legal action with no basis or tricking an abuser into paying me money so I can get away. I can't believe how bad this "therapy" is. It's worse than a public forum. Something that really offends me is when I say I can't afford to abandon my mortgage and live elsewhere and people tell me to just leave. No one ever listens. This site just confirmed that I am entirely alone and no one believes what I say about my situation.

I think it's a fine website. The first person I talked to was super nice and reminded me of a dad. But the second person kept telling me to be sexual with them after I told them I was a minor. The third person told me to stop using the site and talked with me for awhile.
This site isn't super safe I think, some are ok, but others are kind of creepy. I don't like being hit on or asked if I'm a bottom or top. I reported them but I don't think it'll do anything.
Please don't use this site if you are a minor.

I have been on both sides of the spectrum here, venter and listener. I love that it's free and 24/7. You can grab good listeners on here. I was very depressed and alone one night and a listener on here helped me get through the night when it would've been miserable otherwise. I cried and told her about things in my life and it helped immensely, I wish I knew her real name so I could say thank you to her. As for listeners, as long as you cut out a block of time (few hours) then you'll be good. Most sessions end up being about an hour but I had one last about 3 before. You can really help people being the listener and I love that it's also free for people like me that like helping people without all the hassle and in a place where people come at their wits end because they have no one else to talk to.

You get no support from this website. People talk mean to you and i wouldn't recomend this website to anyone.

I absolutely love this site and being a listener and a lot of the reviews say the site is bad because the people are bad but thats not the sites fault i have been on this site for two years and yes every now and than there are creeps you just tell them to go f**k them selves report them and leave

Went to vent for the first time to a stranger. Just said a couple words about what I wanted to vent about and 1st person says I'm "arrogant and self-abusive then." Got disconnected. 2nd person says "f**k me then. After I said what I wanted to vent about, then was disconnected again! 3rd person was nicer, talked to me longer but asked personal questions & gave some weird, generic responses. Asked if I "had anything to vent about" after we had already been discussing it for several minutes. Would not recommend! The listeners seemed rude, inappropriate and like trolls or bots.

Idk if I know these people but if they are people I know in real life going anonymous they use every opportunity to be nasty. Or they could just be lying manipulators... anyway I'm done with this site.

There wasn't anything genuine about the exchange I had with a "listener". They gave me super short, generic responses and then abruptly told me to just break up with my partner and disconnected. I say it's a coin flip because I am sure there are good folks out there who actually want to help. It's not worth the risk of feeling worse afterwards.

I've been a listener on Blah for 4 years now and have seen just about everything there is from legitimate venters to religious nuts to threats of homicide. Sometimes people go there because they have nothing to do. For me, these trolls and sex creeps aren't a problem because I, like every other listener, has the power to disconnect if I feel uncomfortable. What really bothers me is that this site has had a bot in the venter queue for over a year now. This bot starts out with "hi" and you can tell it's a bot because there isn't a typing indicator at the top of the chat window. They then link a URL claiming to be some 22 year old wanting to talk about anything. I have reported this bot probably over a hundred times and they are still there, which leads me to suspect that the site may either be behind it, or has an agreement with the website to allow it. Also, the report feature is garbage, but I understand why because it could be abused easily. My advice is this: If you are looking for serious help, go see a licensed professional in person rather than an anonymous random person online. As has been said many times in other reviews: there are people on this site who will manipulate you and try to harm you mentally. It's unfortunate, but the way of the internet.
