I see so many bad reviews, but it looks like most of them are using Bill.com to invoice their customers. We only use it to pay our bills, and we have mostly loved the service. We've cut down the number of bills we receive on paper to just a couple each month, and the rest go directly into the Bill.com inbox. Attaching documentation is pretty straightforward, though I do wish they would make it easier to attach multiple documents from the same email - that should be seamless, but it's clunky. We love that we don't really have to think about whether our vendor is signed up with Bill.com or not. If they are, they get a direct deposit, if they're not they get a check. It's all the same on our end. It syncs well with QuickBooks Desktop, something which pretty much no other company has ever managed. A few complaints: the import feature for long bills is persnickity - though most import features are, and this one is miles ahead of QuickBooks itself. It takes much longer than it should for people to actually get paid. Why does it take 5 days from "Pay" to "Epayment Received"? Paying faster is one of the reasons we switched and that hasn't really happened. And then there were a couple of mysterious duplicate bills that we can only track to their appearance on Bill.com. I'm not saying that Bill.com randomly duplicates old bills but... an extensive search provided no other explanation.

I accidentally signed up for the wrong account. Their website is not user friendly and I struggled with deleting it. I called customer service several times requesting to be reimbursed for the $79 that they continued deducting from my bank account. They finally reimbursed me for ONE month=disgusting as they can see that account was NEVER used! I will also let the company know that uses them to pay their employees that they are horrible!

I accidentally signed up for the wrong account. Their website is not user friendly and I struggled with deleting it. I called customer service several times requesting to be reimbursed for the $79 that they continued deducting from my bank account. They finally reimbursed me for ONE month=disgusting as they can see that account was NEVER used! I will also let the company know that uses them to pay their employees that they are horrible!

"Unfortunately, we are at the mercy of the depositing bank. Therefore, we cannot escalate this"

My payment was intercepted and cashed. I filed a fraud claim for improper endorsement in August.
My customer has not been funded and I have not get paid. All BILL says is that there is no update on the investigation. I need help solving BILL case# *******

If you spend all of your time in Bill.com, it's probably a great product. However, everything breaks down when you use any of their integrations. Both the Quickbooks Desktop and the merchant account interfaces to Vantage/Paytrace have so many bugs. Their tech support is good about helping you out with any challenge, but the bugs never seem to get fixed no matter how many time you point them out the them.

Allowed a setup of a fraudulent account for my companies name and then allowed transactions to continue even after contracting bill.com which is extremely difficult. Banks have a legal and ethical responsibility to refund scammed money to their customers but bill.com has zero customer service does not take fraud seriously. I also have customers that use bill.com (why I don't know) and when they send an email they state a delivery date of a check which is usually 6 to 10 days after the date stated in the email. They are using a float scheme to gain more interest income on customers money. Stay away from this fraudulent company.

This company took 8500.00 out of my account with out any authorization. I have never heard of them or do any kind of business with them. They were phishing my account by doing deposits in and out of.88 cents and then 8500.00. The scammers are bill.com and golden girls retirement. I have nothing to do with either companies. They need shut down ASAP.

I had never heard of bill.com before in my life until they took $5900 out of my business bank account via ACH debit. They have not helped me at all. They keep claiming I applied for their service, which I never did as I do not use or believe in credit! They have refused to return my money. I am meeting an attorney. I just cannot belive they can get away with this. I have done all of the things (frozen my credit, etc). THey said they only ran a soft credit report on me...this is why I was not alerted to a scammer applying for credit in my name. SOmeone stole my checking account number and they wiped me out. I am so upset.

I am a 1099 contractor with a medical company and receive my payments through Bill.com. I have been receiving payments for over a year with them and for the most part things worked well. Until they locked me out of my account with no warning or explanation and then refuse to reinstate my account no matter how much proof I send them that I am indeed the person and company I say I am. I even sent them legal documentation showing the formation of my company, passport, drivers license, nearly everything including the kitchen sink. Then I can't get a hold of anyone to actually try to fix the situation and then they tell me I have to file an appeal which will take 5 days. Lastly, I finally was able to chat with someone online and nearly nothing a said they responded to correctly including I asked for a copy of the chat transcript to be emailed to me and they replied with thanking me for being willing to summarize the session and send them an email with the summary! Are you freaking kidding me! Stay away from this company if possible. There are much better companies out there such are WorkMarket by ADP. I would give them negative stars if I could.

They are annoying and redundant. Way too much of a process to get paid as gig worker. They keep all your private info and it takes days and a lot of investigating to close your account.

Very bad experience. I had high hopes for this site. We're an accounting firm that was looking at options for our firm's own billing. I found this since I saw a client was using it and it was endorsed by AICPA. I saw they had a free trial so I thought I'd give it a try and see if it would be a good fit for us. I set up an initial account and started exploring it. I got a call from a sales rep to answer any questions I had. They found out we were an accounting firm, but I told them we were only interested in their service for our own books. They pressured me into getting a console account and a client account but assured me that we would only get charged for one after the trial. They also canceled a second account I accidentally created.

We ended up not using the account but liked the service so I canceled both the client and console account. I got a call from the sales rep pressuring me to stay but I told them we didn't need it right now but would probably return later. A couple months go by and I start receiving e-mails saying I've been charged for an account that I canceled. After getting blown up with sales calls from Bill.com, I complained to the representative about the issue I was having. I was assured that he was relaying this up to his superiors.

A few days later, I got an e-mail saying that I was mistaken and that I did not cancel the account and to go in and cancel. I responded saying that I did cancel the account and walked the customer service through the process I had. I was then sent back another message basically saying I was wrong and that I didn't cancel the account and gave me step-by-step instructions on how to cancel the account (which I had already done months before). I sent a message back saying that I now canceled the account again but did not receive a confirmation (so as a company, you should take that to mean that something is going on/wrong with the system) and I asked for a refund. I then got another response saying they would refund me. However, included in the response was another message saying that I was mistaken and I was wrong (Customer Service 101: you never tell a customer that).

This was handled so unprofessionally. I recommend all CPAs stay far away from this company. I am sorry that I signed up with them in the first place. The only positive thing I have to say is they did grant a refund, but that's all. I was talked down to in messages and repeatedly told that I was wrong and that I was the one who did something wrong, not them. This is just not the way to do business.

There was no phone number to get to talk to anyone and I felt trapped in their service. I will not be recommending this site to any of my clients and will not be returning.

Tip for consumers:
Keep detailed records with every transaction and interaction since their customer service does not believe you as the customer to tell the truth.

They not only charge you for this software but then they charge every person you try to pay a hefty fee to get their money before 8 days. Otherwise they hold the money for 8 days and then pay it! DISGRACEFUL

Terrible, bill.com literally stole my money. It Has completely disappeared and now I just got screwed out of my almost $3000 that is completely unaccounted for. They were supposed to get back to me but its been days. They have no idea where it went, yah right their shady CEO has it or one of their shady business managers do. I just wanted to have a simple transfer of my funds into my bank account and now I am completely screwed and have no more for my rent this month. Just a disaster. Never us bill.com. Complete crooks.

A vendor I accept payments from forced me to use this trash website. How they setup the invoices and payments isn't intuitive and very confusing. Because is hte confusion I do not want direct deposit of the funds as I will have no idea what it applies to. Therefore, I opt for checks, except this antiquated crap company will not allow you to input a PO BOX as your mailing address. INSANE.

This company is a scam. I have, in writing, confirmation of my credit limit, statement credit and monthly rewards. Even with confirmation in writing for months now, my credit limit was reduced with no notification and on time payments since inception.

I've been using bill.com to pay my bills for a couple years and recently the customer support is almost non existent. There is NO PHONE SUPPORT and the chat function hasn't been effective with any issue I've had in the last 3 weeks. Sometimes waiting DAYS between responses.

You are only able to get support through a chat, and the person on the chat is overseas, and since English not being their native language, it is incredibly hard to get them to understand my questions.

So basically they have completely outsourced their support.

The usability of the site is very poor. Whoever designed it does not understand UI development. I have been using it for a couple of years now, but I am currently looking for alternatives. Bill is expensive, clunky, and has really no support.

I am writing this review after a truly harrowing experience with Bill.com, a website that claims to provide reliable bill payment and payment processing services.

I used their service for a $20,000 payment from a client, who processed the payment using their credit card. Bill.com assured me that the money had been deposited into my account. However, upon checking, the funds were nowhere to be found. Yet, the amount was clearly debited from my client's account. This led to a painstaking two-week effort to trace the missing money, during which I made over 45 calls and interacted with nearly 50 different agents from various countries like the Philippines, India, and Canada. Despite the numerous interactions, the issue remained unresolved.

The ordeal took a toll on my business relationship with the client, causing unnecessary strain and mistrust. Moreover, the post-onboarding experience with Bill.com was nothing short of a nightmare. After the initial sign-up, I was inundated with emails from an "onboarding specialist" named Peighton. However, when I reached out about the deposit issue, she went radio silent, refusing to answer any of my follow-up emails.

As a last resort, I now find myself in the unfortunate position of having to seek legal counsel to retrieve the missing funds. This is an experience and expense that no business or individual should have to go through.

In my years of doing business, I've never encountered such a dire situation with any payment processing service. It's crucial to me that I warn other potential users of the risks associated with Bill.com. Their lack of accountability, poor customer service, and questionable handling of large sums of money are massive red flags. I strongly advise against using their services. Protect your business reputation and funds; look for a more reliable and transparent alternative.

No log in for new account. Bill.com stored a phone number from 1997 for verification. Live Agents refuse to update my information. Agents don't respond back. I've sent ID and current active phone number with zero updates or feedback. The company only has outdated information on the account in my name. This company is unresponsive. I would not recommend them. They are unreliable.

Bill.com is unresponsive. I would not recommend them. They have an old phone number of mine from 1997 that they refuse to update. The company is unreliable can lead to fraud. Live Agents do not respond back or offer feedback.

I've had nothing but issues and their support is awful.

How are you a company which handles billing and has no phone support? Only messaging which takes days to reply?

Don't use if you're a sole proprietor. They froze my account until I could provide a business license and EIN which I don't need to have in my state

I wouldn't wish this miserable company on my worst competitor

My Name is Jefferson Herrera. I am the owner of M&A deals advisory LLC. I started using Bill.com since I needed a payment procesing platform. At the begining I got paid the next business day after I charged my customers, which was great. However, I have more than one week waiting for paymets that had not arrived yet, they schedule the payments for a date, the problem is that they don't send the money in that date and the reschedule the payment 5 days ahead, over and over again, my business needs to pay payroll, regular expenses, now I am short on cash because of bill.com problem. I have opened 5 tickets so far and nobody has been able to explain me what's going on?

This service is horrible. I still Haven't gotten my money over a month of it saying "paid" & money received a month ago and this company I cant even call. How are you a service dealing with billing and people but don't have a phone support? This is embarrassing. They are trying to steal my money. The email system is the worst with the lazy staff that take forever to respond then submit the case as "solved" so they don't got to deal with it. The staff is an embarrassment and laughing stock of employees.
