After seeing all the active complaints on SJ - I have just checked out this website. It is "Closed for Maintenance". Well done everyone! It seems that under a deluge of complaints on SJ you've helped shut down a scammer. Just hope those of you who've lost money manage to get some or all of it back. Good luck.
Takes £300 upfront with the promise of a working site in 3-5 days. Doesn't deliver with various excuses as to why not. When you complain he stops communicating citing abuse and you have lost your fee.
I have some experience with this guy, I am interested to know how you paid him, cash, transfer, cheque?
I think Andrew Doyle is 'unavailable' again. He is not responding to emails or further comments on this site. Wonder what the excuse will be this time!
Do NOT even consider commissioning BespokeToday. They have no interest whatsoever in customer care or even doing the work they promised in the first place. They just take you money and that is the end of it. Go elsewhere. Do not be tempted by their 'promises'.

"All our website's are colourful and creative. We're more than happy to spend as much time as necassery to answer all your questions."
First question: Is my site going to have spelling as bad as that? LOL

Andrew Doyle of www.bespoketoday.co.uk will not deliver what you pay for, nor give you your money back once you have paid. Do not go with this company. Bespoke Today will only be stopped once everyone who is in this situation reports it to their local police. They all go onto the national data base and the more people who complain, the more they will do.

All potential buyers beware
Website design paid £499 in front on 01/11/10 agreed by Andrew Doyle that it will take a couple of days.
Then on 5/11/10 he said it will be completed tonight, then far later he said that we will be the next on his list, then in december he said to look at the anoucement on his home page
the home page said that all the jobs he started will be completed on 20/12/10
so we send him an email on 14/12/10 to say that if the job is not completed on 20/12/10 then we would then cancell
The seller didn't bother to reply
A notebook was also included in the price, he never posted it although he told us one day that he was going to the post office to send it.
In January he sold a stuff on ebay so I pretended I would collect at his place and he gave me his name Andrew doyle with his mobile, the same mobile he provided and he said he was there all day. The adress is in Preston XX Widman St
The special delivery we sent on January to his adress in Cornwall never arrived as the adress was not found (by the way the adress he put on his proforma invoice in november was also in Preston, XXX Emmanuel St)
Then when the letter came back to us, I emailed him for his adress to take him to court, less than 1 hour later our whole website was deleted.
Please note we gave him the login to our cpanel on 1/11/11
Then I couldn't access my cpanel as the administrator email adress was changed to alan_spratley@hotmail.com (I never gave him our password, and the only person who had it apart from me was Andrew doyle).
we also found that all our email were also diverted to info@bespoketoday.co.uk
We don't know for all long he was getting all our emails.
A very dodgy web designer. BEWARE
Anyboday in the same situation
Contact us at info@cleaningspot.co.uk
We can do a group action.
We now have lots of testimonials of victims from Andrew Doyle from www.bespoketoday.co.uk
If you are one of them, make hear your voice on http://www.actionfraud.org.uk/report_fraud
This website has to be shut down
Could you share his address with us?
I have had a similar experience, sounds like we have plenty of information for fraud/police to track this guy down, if it is just this one person working on his own. BeSpoke Today is not a company, he runs it as a sole trader so he is fully responsible for any debts incurred. I also think the Cornwall address is fake, it is a rural location so without a house name/number nothing is going to get there and I also had letters returned, but the Preston address works. Seems like he has managed to get a lot of money from a lot of people in a short space of time.

hi, i would like to do some form of group action
We've been affected by the same as other posters, and have done some research into Andrew Doyle and we have discovered he has been involved in other deposit collecting scams under different trading names in the past.
We have reported this to his local police force who have suggested that we collate details of any parties who have been similarly affected, who would be prepared to speak on the phone to the police to provide details of their case.
We will collate details of everybody submitting and will present a file to the police who have agreed that they will then begin a full investigation.
If you are willing to assist in bringing a prosecution against Andrew Doyle and Bespoke Today please provide us with your contact name, company name, contact phone number, and a very brief summary of how you have been affected.
The address to send these details to is bespoketoday.legalcase@gmail.com
Please note we may not be able to respond individually to your submission but we will pass the details you send to the police for investigation and will notify you when this has occured.
I would love for you to put the names of those other "trading names" as this was the first business i used.
Maybe the details of the officer you spoke to would'nt go a miss either.
Of course the above poster is Cedric. Someone whos website i did develop but he cancelled.
So Cedric, you was not ripped off as you claim. You saw a working model of the site built on CS Cart. Files i still have on my hard drive. Im sure the police will love to see your lies...
Just a note of thanks to those who have provided details for the legal case so far.
We don't have time to reply to everybody individually but appreciate the detail in the emails you have sent and we are collating these in line with what the police have requested and they will be passed in en masse shortly.
If you haven't been in touch yet and would like to share details of your case so that it can be followed up the police investigation please email bespoketoday.legalcase@gmail.com.
Well, well. I did my interview with the police and have subsequently heard back from the fraud squad... Our Andrew Doyle appears to be a certain Andrew Wealthy. Go and do a few searches for Andrew Wealthy + Preston. Interesting reading...
December 2010 paid up front for developing a website for our social club. had no communication since, does not respond to e-mail or messages left on thr answer machine.
Sent a registered letter in January but returned by royal mail due "address incomplete"
did you call your credit card company to file a dispute?
It's a false address, as you have gathered. I have the correct address confirmed for him.
Could you share his address with us?

Quote from the "Our promise" link on www.bespoketoday.co.uk:
"We will work efficiently on your behalf. This means we will:
- Communicate with you daily
- Agree with you the work we do
- Ensure you speak to the right people at the right time
- Tell you if there is work we are best suited not to undertake"
Well, weeks have gone by without any communication from Mr Andrew Doyle. I was foolish enough to pay the upfront fee for a web design but after countless email not being replied to I cancelled the service. Needless to say I am still waiting for a refund.
Judging by the other comments on jabber.com I think it is pretty clear that Andrew Doyle (if that is his real name) is a fraud and I doubt he does any web design work. I have submitted the details at http://www.actionfraud.org.uk/report_fraud and encourage you to do the same. Hopefully if enough people do this the police will take action against him.
Oh, believe me, this is his real name. I have done some checks and also has his residential address confirmed by a credit agency, who of course can follow any changes he will make from now on.
Not yet. If anybody would be interested in doing a joint action please let me know.
Not yet. Has anybody got their money back? If anybody has, please let us know. Or if anybody wants to take part in a joint action against Andrew Doyle please let me know.
I confirmed his address following the correct procedures (with the initial help provided by some of you). I have made a claim through the small claims court and soon I will escalate the process. I do not believe for one minute AD has the mental capacity to understand the difference between right and wrong. Furthermore, nothing stops anyone of you to report AD through Action Fraud (www.actionfraud.org.uk), as suggested by other members. I have done so and trust this will eventually lead to a conviction. The on-line procedure is easy to follow and does not cost anything.
AD hastily tried to remove all traces of my support history and of my details when he received the court claim. Poor sod, does he really believe he can outsmart any of us? Fortunately I had the sense of paying him through PayPal at the time - he didn't appreciate it! I have back-ups of every page on his site that contained my details. Maybe you should make back-ups before you start your claims...
Good luck!

Yes, of all the dealings I have had with that has been the worst aspect - he simply doesn't reply to a message. Even if he responded just to say that he is busy and will come back to me later that would have been OK, but he can't even be bothered to do that.
It now leaves me with no option but to pursue him through legal actions. He has to realise that allowing customers to take this course of action has consequences to him, his credit rating and this irritating tendency for this kind of thing to follow you though life, affecting your job prospects and reputation. Andrew Doyle, you will NEVER learn.
Hi, I also intended to have a website built by Bespoketoday and having provided a detailed brief of the proposed site and paid £479.20 into their bank account to meet the deadline of a "special offer" practically all communication with the Company ceased. I was quite cautious before placing the order and telephoned "past clients" but even that did not help me identify a potential issue. I attempted to contact Bespoketoday on numerous occasions without success and on the advice of the Trading Standards Offic wrote to them at the Truro address, the letter being returned "address incomplete". It seems that nobody is able to assist without an address for Mr Doyle and he has clearly obtained substantial client monies without, it would appear, any intention to repay them. I am a student and most of the monies used came from undertaking work for family and friends. This bad experience has certainly taught me a lesson for the future.
You are all chasing after someone who will not be repaying your money. Tragically it appears that the police and fraud agencies also lack zest to pursue this. I also want to add that a new web site design site has appeared with a peculiar resemblance to Andrew Doyle's. So much of this site has similar features... I am NOT saying it belongs to him but it might be worth some further investigation... Do a Google search for 'bespoke website design' and go down the list.
I have just become aware of this site and would like to add my story. I paid £299 for a website in October and as soon as I had paid the money to Andrew he became hard to get hold of. I tried many times to contact him by email and phone for months on end but to no avail. In the end I couldn't be doing with the stress as I had other bigger problems in my life at the time and, as I didn't have the money to pay for another website, had to put my business plans on hold. However, I am more sorted now and, after getting in touch with Trading Standards, was about to start court proceedings to get my money back when I found this site. So Andrew, if you read this message, I would like to take you up on your offer and get a full refund. If I don't, then believe me, I will be taking this to court as it has now become about so much more than just the money. I have high profile contacts in the legal world and have already received plenty of legal advice with regards to my rights and entitlements. I will be keeping this forum regulary updated with my progress if I don't receive a full refund from Andrew as promised.
Refunds have been issued to those who can be identified through this forum post. Since most users who have posted above either are not using their real name or are not customers of BeSpokeToday.co.uk i have been unable to issue.
I do have alot of clients who have received websites and are online running with no problems. The business grew much faster than i expected and i took on far to much work leading up to Christmas under the threat that the post xmas sales would be very low. It was a mistake.
Those who have posted above not using their real details i request that you contact by email at info@bespoketoday.co.uk with your client account details and refunds will start to be made. I am no longer running BeSpokeToday.co.uk as an active business, instead it is running as a part time job providing the support to the other clients for the period of one year. After this the servers will close down.
To be fair to the 15 people who are expecting refunds i will be making partial refunds to everyone in stages so that everyone is paid back together.
Since this bill exceeds over £3000 this process will most likely take until Mid - May to complete.
Regardless of what is said here, most of my problems occured when in hospital for Appendicitis and refunding was a problem because i did not take any sales for 3 weeks yet server bills, phone bills etc still get taken out on Direct Debits.
If and when the police had to get in touch i will co-operate with them fully. As much as a fraud maybe visible I do have over 140 clients in my database of which i have had complaints with around 20 of those. One complaint is unnaceptable however in the light of the situation i do beleive a 15% rate disproves any intentional fraud.
I hope everyone can accept the re-payment structure as it will keep this matter out of County Court saving everyone problems.
All clients are expected to email as soon as possible so that i can put down in writing your payment structure / dates.
Andrew
maybe i'm just really naive and think that all people are inherently good but i believe this guy's concession. hope it works out for all.
My happy clients who have serious concerns. I need to resolve the issues within this forum in order to try and hold onto some of my reputation.
Stefan K, Valentinos from this forum have been refunded partially and fully.
Cedric's situation is a little more complex as slanderous accusations were made regarding the accessing of his account.
Tommy above is now happy and his development is completed. As a gesture of goodwill i am adding all his products to his online shop free of charge. He wrote the above review when he couldnt contact me on a saturday. He promised to do a follow-up review once the changes are made and we launch the site.
Grant P is a friend of a client who at this moment in time is fully happy with his website which has been delivered. I guess grant is a little worried because of these posts. That site can be viewed at http://solutionsconnect.co.uk
Lola and Sarah i am unaware of from my client system. If they let me know their names i will be able to arrange something for those too.
Barry J from walkden legion i have left a voicemail for a return call to resolve the issue either by refund or delivery of website. (This was left last week)
Jim C i am unaware of
Steve D i am also unaware of.
I have been working hard the past few weeks to clear backlogs where possible delivering a product. As i am now relying solely on my income to return funds so those who wish to use my skills are welcome to. I have offered Stefan K a full refund along with the delivery of his website which i am awaiting a response from.
I enjoyed running BeSpokeToday. It was a good little business i had going, delivering sites in 3 - 5 days was beating competitors. I guess i just couldnt refuse orders which caused these problems.
I do want to stress that i do have many happy clients who are receiving and still receiving website's from me. Howerver reputation is key in this industry and i feel that it was time to finish trading and get a full time job where i dont have the stress of problems on my shoulders.
If i could change the situation we find ourselves in i would. But i have bills to pay and where possible i have reduced them. I hope all clients can accept refund plans. I know i have spoken to some of them direct who have already accepted the plans and are receiving partial refunds throughout this week.
I am not a fraudster and to be called that on a public forum isnt the nicest. I am fully capable of developing good quality website's and doing it fast using platforms like Wordpress. To a point where i turned out a website for one of my clients within 24 hours.
To save money i have cancelled my 0800 number so you are requested to call on my mobile phone number which you all should have if you received emails from me.
Andrew
Kudos to you.
I will prefer to pursue the matter through the county court. You have lied to and deceived too many clients. The matter is also in the hand of the piloce and they will decide their action plan against you. Why would anyone believe the promises you made?
Steve, would you mind contacting me through email as i cant find any trace of a "Steve D" on the client system.
I dont think deceived is a correct statement. My only mistake was not being fully honest with time frames after problems occured. I was trying to make all clients happy which ultimatly ended up in a large backfire.
The police are more than welcome to get in touch by phone if they have any questions, ill happily forward any supporting evidence to them.
Bear in mind. Most people who have written a review in here have received some type of work. Whether it be a full working website less final changes, or artwork for a development.
Cedric had a fully functional online shop which i developed. I just didnt get round to finishing it off. If it was a fraud as accused surly nothing at all would of been delivered nor would my other clients have anything either.
I would like the details of the officer with the crime reference number from you so that i can make contact with them directly. Of course you being the complainent it would be in your best interest to do this to get a speedy resolution.
To follow-up. Jim C (Not his real name) i am now aware of. His updates have been made which should resolve his issues with us.
The only reason Andrew has come onto this site is because it is negatively affecting his business. He has still not offered 1 single apology to anyone either on this forum or personally.
You should not need to know people's real names in order to refund them many months after you were paid, you are desparately trying to claw back some sort of reputation but it is far far too late for that. I'm with Steve D. as above. If you had any sense of responsibility you would not have allowed this to go on for this many months, having ignored repeated phone calls, emails and letters from all of your 'clients'. I am disgusted with you and I don't believe a word you say. Everything you are writing on this site is a load of rubbish in an attempt to save face. All of the people on here complaining have been attempting to contact you for months and have been ignored and screwed over by you. Our businesses have all been affected because of this and we have all incurred further costs because of you. Politely saying on this review site "would you mind contacting me personally" absolutely infuriates me, we have been trying to do that for months!
Too little too late, I will let fraud/police/courts deal with it too.
'Lola' my business stopped trading new sales over a month and a half ago. I have spent all this time clearing a backlog.
If you are now refusing a refund then there isnt much more i can do for you.
Anyone who is wishing a refund along with the others being refunded this week you know how to get in touch and my offer still stands.
Those who think this will go to court are also welcome to continue to persue, a refusal of a refund will only go to my benefit in the court system.
Hi TC, I understand that they may wish to persue a loss of earnings and in that case the court maybe the only option so i can pay x ammount per week to them.
Steve (if it is the client i was contacted by today) has already accepted an initial 150 pound payment with the final 199 being returned when i get paid at the end of the month.
This leaves Lola.
To comply with anti money laundering regulations you have to refund a payment the same way it was made. They paid through bacs and therefore simply refunding isnt an option as i need the repayment details. My bank are unable to give me these details under the data protection act.
I dont deny for one minute whether they have the right to be angry or not, i know how i would feel. I cannot refund what i dont have and this offer is the best i can do and i think it would be most suitable for those involved as they will receive a refund of the moneies within a month or two. Going through the court may only allow them a few pound per week which means it would take months to get money back. I dont earn anywhere close as to what i did running my own business and with bills to pay it wont leave the most amount left over every month.
I was hospitalized but it didnt fully excuse my deadlines. The business grew within a month by 60 clients and i didnt realise the implications. This was my first business i ever ran and we do learn from mistakes. Im the first to admit that i took on far to much work then i should have, i should of looked into outsourcing which would have saved many of the problems i have encountered.
Andrew, its in your best interest to refund me immediatley.
I would just like to add to the already long list of unhappy customers of Bespoke Today. I paid £299 on 10th November last year and have received precisely nothing for my money since that date. Being in the process of starting a new business I was attracted by his low prices and also the offer of free Dell netbook for upfront payment. Looking back now I realise this was very naive. As the old saying goes 'if it looks too good to be true....', but his website looked very professional and I admit I was taken in.
There was some brief communication right after I had paid, but after that I heard nothing - when I tried to call i would get his voice mail and messages went unanswered, as did emails. I gave Andrew the benefit of the doubt for a month or so as i thought perhaps he had taken on a bit too much work and was snowed under or was just a bit disorganised, but after several attempts to contact him went unanswered I suspected something more sinister was going on i.e a scam.
I have been in touch with Trading Standards who advised me to send a letter to Andrew Doyle stating my complaints and to request a refund as is my right under the law. I sent one copy of the letter to his website address in Cornwall and one to his invoice address which was in Preston - both special delivery. Neither reached their destination as both the addresses appear to be false. I have since emailed a copy of this letter to both his info@bespoketoday address and also through his website ticketing system. No reply has been received.
Andrew if you are following this thread I advise you to contact me immediately as my patience is wearing very thin. This is a huge amount of money for me so I will not be giving up until every penny has been returned, even if I have to take you to court. As I am in the right and you in the wrong I will win any case action without question. I will be keeping this forum up dated so if you want to rescue your reputation as you state in your earlier postings, it is in your best interest to pay up as soon as possible. There is probably a lot more I could add to this story, but I will leave it at that for now and await a reponse.

Hello Tamara, Please initiate communication via email so i can add you to the refund list. I have processed all the refunds i can this week and until i get paid at the end of the month not much more.
Samantha, Your website was delivered and you accepted it. You paid on completion. No refund is available to you im afraid. The only people who will be receiving refunds are those who did not receive a service they paid for.
Since your website remains online and you have been using it for 5 months then i cannot help you. I think my money is better sent to those who do not have a product rather than those who are just unhappy with the aftersales service.
I'm still waiting andrew, I didn't receive it last week as you stated.
Andrew, that is completely untrue. You are really twisting the facts. My website was never completed!!! I was given a 'draft' of a website which was never finished. I asked for months for you to make the changes necessary but you completely ignored me time and time again. You put my unfinished 'website' on your website portfolio but it was not MY website for ME to use. It was not completed, never made live and I could not use it. I did not receive a 'product' as you say. The 'website' never had my domain name and I could never use it or advertise it. The product was as good as worthless as it was not finished. I paid the money in good faith even though the website was not completed, and I believed you had integrity. However, contrary to what you say, I did not receive the service I paid for which was a completed website I was happy with, one which was made live and free hosting and aftercare. It is not a matter of me not being happy with aftersales service. I received NO final product and Zero 'after sales' service. I have wasted months of my precious time trying to get hold of you, plus the added stress. It is a clear breach of contract and that is a fact - and that is how the law will see it. I advise you to reconsider as the least I would have expected was a partial refund for the massive inconvenience, stress, uncertainty and a completely unusable website. I hope we can come to a reasonable agreement.
Samantha, The only outstanding change you had was an image of you for the homepage. Your website is still active online on the servers and is fully usable by yourself. Im afraid at this stage all refunds are going from my full time job and i will only be refunding those who have not had a product such as your sister.
your website is available and the changes can be made within a day or two upon you emailing them over. Thats the best i can do for you.
Andrew
Andrew, you are still missing the point. It is breach of contact as you did not deliver what I paid for. I could not access my website because I could not contact you to make the necessary changes which would have enabled me to use the website. It is not fully usable by myself as I can't access it and have never been able to. I have no useable website address which I can advertise or put on business cards. The unfinished website was completely useless to me and I could not contact you to get any sort of service. I did have a photo of myself on the site (please get you facts right) but I did not have the links I asked for and there were other things that were not complete. You have promised to make the changes before but nothing ever happened. The contract with you is no longer valid as you did not deliver what I paid for. I did not have a useable product. A miss is as good as a mile ie a partially completed, unuseable website is no better than no website. These are changes I had been asking for since way back in November last year. It's too late to start talking about offering to make the changes now. I have taken legal advice and been in touch with Trading Standards and 'they' have advised me you are in breach of contract. If we can't come to a reasonable agreement, it looks like I will have to take this to court.
Samantha,
I too dealt with Carl from my local trading standards and your complaint was brought to my attention. It was ruled that they we're not taking any further action. If you do believe you have a case then nobody can deny you of your right to take the matter to court.
Yes, fine if he is now telling the truth - but he may also just be trying to put people off for another few months and hoping the fire dies out. I'd recommend that anyone who has been ripped off contacts 'Investigation I' listed below and discuss their options.
They say:
'If you are willing to assist in bringing a prosecution against Andrew Doyle and Bespoke Today please provide us with your contact name, company name, contact phone number, and a very brief summary of how you have been affected.
The address to send these details to is bespoketoday.legalcase@gmail.com
Please note we may not be able to respond individually to your submission but we will pass the details you send to the police for investigation and will notify you when this has occurred.'
Since those customers who did not receive any of service are now receiving refunds I do think positive steps are being made.
I am not worried about being "prosicuted" i have delivered that many orders since November 2010 that no court in this world is going to convict over a business which simply failed to grow with sales.
My excuse is genuine and if these "other" businesses the below poster states maybe they should share them with this forum as i am also quite keen to know myself because thats news to me!
Not at all. Look at the dates with the above customers. Most of them signed up at various intervals apart.
120 clients in my database and 20 complaints. There is no intentional fraud.
The business was not limited so it was not subject to conditions imposed by Companies House. The money i am paid is for work i do. Down-payments for work is to cover my costs from start to finish and the final payments are simply profits.
The vast majority of complaints here are from orders placed October / November in which site's we're developed but due to communication issues did not receive the aftersales they deserved.
If a company goes bust because money was used to pay off server bills, phone bills, advertising costs with google then that is not against the law. If i had gone and spent that money on buying a brand new car, new house etc then yes it would be.
Bespoketoday cost over 4000 pounds per month to maintain through advertising mainly followed by 0800 bills, billing software charges, server rentals. It all adds up and the money quickly got eaten up. Those three weeks i was ill lost all the money in the accounts which has lead to this issue.
I am showing clear intent of refunds and i have been refunding. So i am trying to make ammends for a bust business. That in its self discounts fraud. As told by my local police force when they dealt with a customer complaint a month ago.
Those who want refunds i have made clear in this forum will get a refund if requesting. Those who wish to ignore that (maybe cedric because he knows he got his website and has no criminal grounds here) likes to make all the other clients excited and cause more problems.
I think if everyone focused more on getting their money back then trying to somehow have me presicuted then this would be over alot quicker. Those who are too stubbern and think they have a point to prove will never get their money back.
I cant waste anymore time, either people want me to resolve this or they dont. I think its time people just gave me their oppinion so im not wasting any of our time.
Question is, do you want a refund or not?
I do not have a Rambo tone. Nor did i flee with thier money. I have given the vast majority of people on this forum their money back.
People seem to be saying that this is not what they want. If they want a refund i have outlined it above.
Valentinos, Steve D, Jim c, Tommy B, Tamara P and Shaun O have all accepted my offers. Valentinos and Steve have been refunded. Jim C has his website online and is happy, Tommy B has his website online (ON TIME) and is happy. Tamara Parks and shaun O have both accepted a 150 pound initial payment with the following next week when i get paid.
When people are coming on this forum and lying such as "other trading names" its just silly. The whole point in me coming forward to this forum and dealing with this publically is to resolve matters, restore faith in the indistry and to better myself.
I have kept to my word with my above posts and those who i am refusing to refund is because of good reason. Those who have had no product deserve a refund. The ones who have just simply changed their mind and want to use this threat to take advantage just cannot work. Its not fair on those who have nothing to show.
All i am saying is that if people want to try and intimidate or say things which are not true rather then just get the refund from me then there isnt much i can do. My offer is open to everyone who didnot receive any work from me. Those who have website's are requested to contact me and ill be more than happy to make the alterations they want during my spare time in the evenings.
If its a prosicution people want then would they rather me leave this thread and not communicate at all and wait to see if a judge will prosicute. I think we'd both rather just have monies returned and part ways.
I had to close the bespoketoday site and switch my happy clients website's over to a different server to protect them from my unhappy clients phoning them. They started calling all my happy clients who because of the calls turned quite unhappy. This forum may only see the negative side of BeSpokeToday but i did deliver some very good designs and have many clients who now use their sites happily.
All i want is the customers to just be streight, tell me what they'd rather do. If they dont want to deal with me anymore then they need to be telling me that. Those who want a refund come forward and have your refunds.
Sorry to anyone who feels my tone is off but i want to resolve this matter quickly without any further problems. I think its time we all parted ways and got on with our lives. Iv walked away from this with alot more experience then i had of what you can and cannot do.
On a side note. I am going to be uploading the files i have for Cedric's development. This way people can see the work was carried out. He is trying to arrange a criminal prosicution when his site was finalized. I know it was a little behind schedule but that is not a crime.
I will post a link this week.
I am still waiting to receive my refund. Andrew emailed me on Tuesday evening to say I would get £150 initial repayment within 24 hours and the rest next month. It's now Friday morning and I've just checked my account. Nothing. Andrew PLEASE let me know when this money will appear.
Tamara, As with shaun payment was made from my Credit card on Wednesday afternoon. It takes 3 working days to clear from my Credit card. Thats all the funds i had available. Since your account is with Natwest this should show in your account tomorrow morning. (they clear monday payments on a Saturday)
Hello all
Andrew, since you have not replied to any of the emails, letters or the court papers which have been sent to you over the past 4 months, I am going to put everything on this forum in the hope that I can get a response and finally put an end to this misery.
I was made redundant last year, and after being unemployed for a while decided to start up my own company. I paid you on 10 November 2010 for an ecommerce website. Over 4 months later I have no website and no refund. I sent repeated requests for a refund, I contacted Trading Standards, Consumer Direct and a local solicitor and sent all of their suggested letters, all recorded delivery. In February 2011 after the last letter I sent saying “I have now been left with no alternative but to seek legal redress through the courts. Unless this matter is satisfactorily resolved within the next 7 days I will instigate legal proceedings without further notice. The cost of this action will be added to the claim” was also ignored, I started a claim through the small claims court, as advised. I seem to be one of the few people who had got this far. The courts charge for their services (significantly less than if I had gone with the solicitor who charges almost £200 an hour!). The court case has now had a default judgment against it as again you have ignored it. The last 4 months have been hell and I just want this over with so I can get on with my life and try to make a go of my business. However, I am not willing to accept a refund for the initial payment, as I have had to pay out more than this in trying to get the money back. You had plenty of opportunity to pay me back in full and not go through the courts but you ignored me, why I have no idea. You hadn’t been in hospital for the whole of the past 4 months and as we can all see on this forum you took on new customers throughout October, November, December and as recently as 1 and a half months ago. (By the way, TC – there is no such thing as hospital bills in the UK, we have the glorious NHS, something you will be getting soon I believe thanks to Obama!)
I am not asking anything more than what I have paid out. I am not asking for damages, even though these are considerable. This has caused me so much stress and inconvenience and I just want it over with.
So, Andrew, are you going to respond to the court judgment and pay me in full or not?
PS. Andrew I read through everything Cedric has said and he doesn’t appear to be claiming that he never received anything from you, he is saying that the site was removed after he had tried to contact you for several months, so there is no point proving the work was done...
Oops sorry TC, didn't spot where you where from I guess I assumed you were American, my bad!
Yes, hopefully I will receive a reply soon.
Any chance of a reply Andrew?
Andrew
Please forward current contact details as I may need this for the small claims form and my solicitor. If I don't receive the correspondance I require I will then know you were a scam all along.
One other point: I have spoken to my company's solicitor and showed her your 'Terms and Conditions' which quiet frankly she shook her head. As you are aware you are refusing to refund me, even half of the money I paid you because I have an outstanding order/bill. Well according to the law because I never received the first order within a few weeks like your website promised, in fact, I've never received my first order because you suspended my account in January for non payment of the second part...then I am in my legal rights to sue (also all the emails I have from you back in October/November show exactly what you promised). According to the law I may be entitled to some sort of compansation for the stress and inconvenience you have caused. So not only will I get my £400 I may get a little extra too.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks
ABC Writers
Andrew
Could you let me know when I will be paid back the remaining £150?
Andrew Doyle, I am waiting for you to deposit the remainder of the outstanding fees into my business account. I gave you until the 2nd of April 2011 to do so.
I think Andrew Doyle is 'unavailable' again. He is not responding to emails or further comments on this site. Wonder what the excuse will be this time!
If we ever hear from him again... Maybe his been put 'Out of Action' I mean he as upset soooooo many people.
Well he won't be getting rid of me until I've been paid back every penny. I can't see why he can't at least give a time scale for repayment. REALLY INFURIATING!
Andrew, you are not responding to any of my emails, so I am posting here in the hope that you will read this AND respond. I have not received any refund yet as you promised. Please give me an update on the current situation. That is the main problem I have with you - you don't COMMUNICATE!
One thing I find curious: if you are claiming so adamantly that you were not comitting fraud, why were you using fake addresses on your website and invoices, as claimed by people on this forum?
Hey everyone, as you are all aware I am still in need of a website, so I phoned a company that I found online and after discussing my needs etc... I was told that he had heard of Bespoketoday, because according to this new company (I wont give their name for obvious reasons) HE at Bespoke downloaded their website, changed their name and then uploaded it as his own. Interesting don't you think?
Just to update as things seem to have gone a bit quiet on the Andrew Doyle front, I am now resuming my court action against him as he still owes me money. As I now have his 'real' address I can hopefully deliver my breach of contract letter to him in person to avoid my letter being returned unopened as previously happened.
Am also in the process of contacting consumer programmes such as BBC Watchdog, Rogue Traders etc, and I'm hoping other people ripped off by him will do the same. With any luck we will soon see Andrew Doyle being chased down the sreet followed by BBC cameras and a microphone being asked why he has made so many peoples lives a misery.
Tamara that is such a good idea.
Thanks Susan, I hope other victims will do the same. He needs to be forced to face his responsibilities.
0800 number bills !! Andrew you never paid your phone bill. Cancelled your direct debit and have disappeared. We are now trying to trace you to issue proceedings
I have only just become aware of this website!!! Andrew owes me £500, which he told me he would refund!! After months of trying to get it back, he now doesn't reply to any of my emails!! I need contact details! Who else does he still owe??!
My name is Katie Hobbs by the way andrew - i sent you an email earlier today regarding the situation with the police - i think you will find that a lot of complaints have been put up about you
I haven't had any refund either. Same situation - he doesn't respond to any emails.
Do a Google search for 'bespoke website design' and go down the list.
i just found this email address on the forum... bespoketoday.legalcase@gmail.com
I dont know what the intent is by emailing, but i can't just let this go....
His website is powered by WHMCompleteSolution.... I dont know who designs the "designers" website, but would they hold any info on him??
still non response to me andrew, totally pathetic if you ask me
Well, well. I did my interview with the police and have subsequently heard back from the fraud squad... Our Andrew Doyle appears to be a certain Andrew Wealthy. Go and do a few searches for Andrew Wealthy + Preston. Interesting reading...
Thanks Steve, this certainly did make interesting reading! It seems our friend has a bit of form as a scammer and fraudster. I did particularly enjoy the snippet from the local paper about Andrew getting his head kicked in by 'yobs'! What a shame they didn't do a more thorough job and saved us all some cash!
I must say as a bit an amateur psychologist, it seems clear this guy is on the sociopathic spectrum, not to mention a fantasist, narcissist (note his furious reaction to critisism above) and pathological lier. Basically, he's a nutter and a very unpleasant one at that. There's no point trying to appeal to his better nature because he doesn't have one. He probably thinks he's done nothing wrong and we are being very unfair to him because that's how these crazy's illogical brain's work.
Unfortunately i think the chances of us ever seeing our money again are slim as most likely it has dissapeared into the ether of his ill-gotten gains. The only good thing to come from this is that I'm now highly aware of these scumbag's existence in a way that I wasn't before. Once bitten twice shy! I hope the police put a stop to his fun and games, but I feel it will more likely be him finally messing with the wrong person that will be the nail in his coffin. Another attack by 'yobs' in the street perhaps! Anyway, good luck people, let's all hope for a bit of karma!
Andrew Doyle and his website are scam! He is a thief!
He stole my money.. he asked for the money to created me the website but no website was made for me!
I even contacted the clients he has on his portfolio they all have been having problems! I am no trying to find ways to report him and trying to get my money back!
But the guy has disappeared!!!!
I tried reporting him on the actionfraud but says i should contact Consumer direct??
you should cover your bases with all the possible angles.
check other people's reviews of this site!
I get the feeling he has done a runner with our money... recorded letters I have sent recently have all come back undelivered. I have contacted action fraud but I fear it is all too late...
Valentinos, refunded.
I think Andrew Doyle is 'unavailable' again. He is not responding to emails or further comments on this site. Wonder what the excuse will be this time!
Money paid in November 2010. 4 months later, no website, no refund. Now reported to Action fraud. One of many by the looks of things...
I think Andrew Doyle is 'unavailable' again. He is not responding to emails or further comments on this site. Wonder what the excuse will be this time!
What a relief to find this site! I have been having problems with Bespoke today since I signed up last October. Andrew Doyle was really helpful at first, couldn't do enough! He said the website would be completed in days and I didn't have to pay anything until I was 100% satisfied with the website. At first, he was really quick completing tasks and I was impressed. However, before the website was completed he suddenly demanded full payment. I paid up as he has been really reliable up until then and I had no reason not to trust him.
That's when the problems started!
He suddenly stopped work on the site and didn't return calls and emails anymore. However, just before Christmas he did reply to an email saying the site would be completed by 20th December. Surprise, surprise, the site was not completed and I haven't heard from him since, despite my many calls and emails.
I know several other people who have had similar problems so I'm convinced there must be many more people who have been conned. I agree that we should all get together to put a stop to this fraudster. This whole experience has been really stressful and has wasted so much time when I should have been getting my business up and running, not to mention the loss of £300 which I really can't afford at the moment.
Yes, have spoken to Trading Standards and they say he is clearly in breach of contract. I need to send a letter asking for my money back and then take him to small claims if he doesn't deliver. Will report to fraud squad and local police as well.
Hi Sarah et al. Seems like we are in the same situation, and I too am relieved somewhat to find that other people and companies have suffered the same fate, it gives me some comfort to not be alone, but also even more worry and fear that we are never going to get anything back from them! I paid up last November, 2010, and have also had no website and no refund. I followed advice from trading standards, which has only meant that BeSpokeToday have had more opportunity to ignore me. I have reported it as fraud now as advised by others above and on other review sites, I think that is the only way forward given just how much fraud has been committed and therefore how unlikely it is that we will get anything back any other way - I have been ignored for the last 4 months so I don't hold up any hope now unless fraud/police get involved. I hope too that no-one else signs up and has to suffer too. My business has been seriously affected by this as has my mental health!!! All the best

Hi Andrew,
It's Chris Manson here regarding the website that you promised to build for Boatlister. You already have my account details and I have attempted to contact you several times. I have received your address from the whois lookup under your domain name and I also sent you a letter demanding the return of the £187.12 which you received direct to your bank account on the 28th of January this year.
As you are refusing to sign receipt of the recorded delivery, I will copy the letter below. This is your final opportunity to repay the funds directly to me, or I will take further action to reclaim the monies and compensation with interest. I will also be near your home town on the 2nd of June visiting my father in law who is ill so we can also discuss further at this time if required.
"
I am writing with regard to the refund request for the website design services that you offer a sole trader, trading as "bespoketoday.co.uk"
I have made endless attempts to contact you and you have failed to respond to me satisfactorily. You have given me several delay reasons, and false promises. I am also aware that some of your previous customers have encountered the same type of service from you.
I have been in discussions with the police and office of fair trading with reference number SW3809***.
Further to my previous requests, I demand that you return the funds back to me. I paid you the sum of £187.12 as a 50% deposit for the design of the website boatlister.co.uk. To date, nothin has been completed and, under the Supply of goods and services act 1982, the service has not been provided in reasonable time and you have failed to keep to your end of the agreement on several accounts.
I feel that I am entitled to a full refund of £187.12, any court costs including travel, accomodation and any legal costs encountered. Please either forward me a cheque to the address on your files made payable to "Christopher Manson" or alternatively transfer the funds immediately to my bank account, ********* ****** *******.
I will allow you up to the 2nd of June 2011 to complete the request. I feel that this timescale is extremely fair given the length of time I have had to wait.
"
22nd of May, and still no response, get a move on andrew.
27th of May, still no response, such a surprise. I will be asking the police to look into this again on the 2nd of June.
did you ever get a response??
no response, absolute con artist this guy. He cheated me out of money and all of the others. What goes round comes round so i look forward to seeing what happens. Have you had any luck? I'm simply holding off as I don't want to harm anyone by getting the police involved, even though he deserves it. I will wait to see if he ever gets back to me, but i guarantee i won't wait forever.
Andrew Doyle... I have tried making contact with you on numerous occasions. If you are reading this please respond back to me asap.
I paid you £239.20 by bank transfer on 2nd December 2010 following an agreement between us for your company to set up a website for my business. You were unable to complete the work by the specified date and despite your promises to resolve the matter, this never materialised.
You sent an email on 14th December 2010 informing me that my site is booked for full completion by Sunday 19th December and that you would be sending over the mock up the following day. I heard nothing further for many weeks so I emailed you a formal complaint on 8th January 2011.
I received no response to this email, so got in touch with Trading Standards who subsequently arranged for the details of my complaint to be forwarded to you. I have received no contact from you and also understand that Trading Standards have had no response.
Please would you contact me with details of when I will be paid my refund, so that you can use this forum to demonstrate that you are not a rogue trader. I appreciate that you may have some valid reasons for why you were unable to respond to me, but it is now over 5 months since we made the agreement.
I would appreciate a prompt response and urge that you must recognise that I have been very patient during this whole episode. If you fail to resolve this matter, it only confirms my belief that I have been defrauded and I will update Trading Standards accordingly.
I too have had bad dealings with Andrew and taken in by his so called professionalism when we wants money. Andrew it is Ruth here and I think you owe mw £200 plus. Please contact me as you have all my contact details asap to arrange a refund for Old Fold as they will be taking this further......
Well what can I say other than! My experience of Bespoketoday.co.uk (Andrew Doyle) in particular was, and still is a complete waste of time let alone an expensive waste of time. I paid for my non existent website upfront (stupid me, I know), but it did sound a genuine deal, how wrong was I? Very wrong. I pursued him for months with no avail, so recently I sent him two letters, one via email which I did get a response too, explaining that I require a full refund as it has been months of nothing and that I will proceed legally if necessary. I'm going to cut along story short here, basically he called my bluff and he said (Take me to court). The second letter was sent via post, mostly saying if he doesn't respond by the 1st April 2011, then I will continue with my claim. Though I have now been informed since sending my letter that the address is not valid, whoops. Anyway, I will be proceeding at the beginning of April... Watch this space... I will keep you ALL posted.
hi susan, how is everything going? did you manage to contact andrew? I received my recorded delivery back with, "..no longer at this address" I am going to pass the details onto the police as I have his bank details, I am sure that they will be able to trace his address.
Which address did you use? Emmanuel Street or Wildman Street or another? Thanks
Hi Christopher. Sadly not, I had my letter returned (address gone away), so I thought I would ring for advice again to see what they suggest, but they seem to be busy at the moment, since I am waiting for a call back this was Tuesday just gone. If I haven't heard anything by the end of next week I'll try and call again. Good idea about the police, let me know how you get on please. He is such a ****er.
I used the address that was on his website.
We have just discovered this site and all of your negative comments about Andrew Doyle and www.bespoketoday.co.uk. What a shock!
It appears I have fallen for the same bait as everyone else - which is a great pity.I was initially very pleased with the initial website design - but upon Andrew receiving full payment of £2500 (only last week) he has not completed his work as promised or helped with website problems such as photos being positioned properly in the site in any way; nor has Andrew in the last week answered any telephone calls, texts or emails.
The 0800 number for his site doesn't not allow you to save any message and his reason for not answering his texts were at he had "lost his mobile."
His mobile phone is permanently "temporary unavailable."
I have kept copies of all text messages and emails sent and received.
I am very concerned he appears to use different surnames........and false addresses.
Andrew, if you are reading this, and do not wish us to take immediate court action, please fulfill your obligations and terms and conditions of the full payment made, otherwise our company solicitor will have no choice than to start proceedings.
You were made aware throughout the web design process that this website is extremely important to our business, which is at a vital stage of expansion and we simply CANNOT afford to be messed around with.
You paid how much?!?! Is this for real? I had no idea he offered any services for that much, the most when I was looking was £499 I think... Andrew are you going to reply to this and explain why you took on a new client when you said you stopped trading a month and a half ago???
This order was taken on 2 - 3 months ago. It was a huge project. The development can be seen at http://www.colourbreathing.com
The site is live and Alison is currently adding content.
There are three elements to the site - An admin system for client subscriptions, a main website with over 40 pages all on a CMS and an online shop. Taking the cost to over 2000 pounds.
The project was coded complete 4 weeks ago and Alison has a 90 day upgrade policy on her software - I have extended that to 6 months for her.
TC K, can you please stop posting here. This is not a "show" for your amusement. You have no business here.
Andrew, it is totally unwise of you to take on additional work when you cannot fulfil all of your previous orders, you are trading illegal and I have confirmed this with the office of fair trading. Respond to my review as a matter of urgency.
An update with reference to the colourbreathing site.
The site has had to be "rescued" for an additional £750 cost.
A new site is now being built and hosted elsewhere. No company can survive without a live website, shop or sales. You promised the site and shop to be fully functional by end of March. (You hadn't even hosted the site on servers!) That is two months sales gone.
You promised the Members login section to be complete by early April - no work was ever done on this.
Andrew, we expect to receive the £2500 refund of our company grant which you took IN FULL, under false pretences, plus the additional cost above of £750 incurred, in cleared funds, within the next 9 working days (by 1pm Friday June 10th).
Your conduct has rendered your contract as being completely null and void.
The "site" you created was not a site - it was a mess. It wasn't built correctly and I am told by our website rescuers, contained illegal versions of software, used with no licences.
We have kept a copy of your version should we need to take legal action.
A FULL refund and additional costs incurred of £3250 in cleared funds is required within the next 10 working days (by 1pm Friday June 10th.)
You have all the necessary contact details to make contact with me in the next few days for how to pay the money due into the company bank details.
If you fail to do this, we shall also look to pursue you in addition for additional costs for damage to our company and loss of income.
andrew, just to point out, i paid you and got absolutely nothing, no image, draft site, not even a bit of text. Not even one word, How come you are refunding other people that you did provide sites for and not even replying to me or offering any indication of a refund? Do you think you have a right to my money without doing anything. I think not!! and its been 5 months now. I do not want the site built, i want my money back.
Well, well. I did my interview with the police and have subsequently heard back from the fraud squad... Our Andrew Doyle appears to be a certain Andrew Wealthy. Go and do a few searches for Andrew Wealthy + Preston. Interesting reading...

I had a police interview too. Seems the net is closing...
I would just like to add to the already long list of unhappy customers of Bespoke Today. I paid £299 on 10th November last year and have received precisely nothing for my money since that date. Being in the process of starting a new business I was attracted by his low prices and also the offer of free Dell netbook for upfront payment. Looking back now I realise... this was very naive.
Please see response above.
