I received outstanding service on 7/20/23, from Rodney, at the Parkside Rd, Belk Women and Children Store, in Farragut, TN! I love this store, which has top-notch Customer Service in every department. Also, this store has an excellent variety of choices for all sizes. An example of the excellent customer service I receive today… when I approached Rodney, who was working diligently behind the register, and asked him some questions about where I could find certain things, he was happy to help me find exactly what I was there to purchase. He actually walked with me to a few areas to show me what was available. He was also extremely pleasant with a happy, positive attitude. A second example from today… I had a full, heavy load of clothing and shoes in my arms, and a very helpful woman in the jewelry department, offered me a shopping cart. She informed me that she keeps an empty cart in her work area for anyone who might need one. How thoughtful! On a previous trip at this same store, I couldn't find my car keys after checking out, and an employee in the shoe department, searched the entire store, eventually finding them on the floor in the clothing department. She saved me! Whenever I need to buy something for an event, I head to this particular Belk store. Today, I ended up buying a beautiful dress, matching jewelry, and a pair of shoes for my grandson's wedding. In addition, I purchased 5 blouses. With Belk's amazing savings, I spent under $200! Incredible! A special "Thank you!" To Rodney. Belk is fortunate to have such a customer service-minded employee!

Ordered a 3 carat total weight diamond bridal set (UC *******126564) Order cost $2702.95. On 11/22/23, FedEx called us and said they were delivering an empty package to our home. Belk had shipped this ring in a white padded bag as opposed to a box. The bag had gotten stuck in a piece of machinery, we still have the bag, and FedEx claims the contents was lost between Memphis and Pittsburgh. All of this was explained to Belk, but they still refuse to issue a refund or provide a replacement shipment of the ring. Every Belk representative says the dollar amount is above their authority and that it would have to go to "corporate" for a decision. I have called Belk every day since 11/23/23. This is horrific customer service. The only mistake we made was purchasing this ring from Belk. Belk's issue is with FedEx not with us as the customer but is punishing us as it appears they don't want to provide a replacement or refund. Per FedEx - Belk has even filed not one, but two claims with FedEx, and still refuses to provide a re-shipment of the ring or a refund to us.

Belk is a horrible company to deal with - terrible customer service - they set their customer services reps and supervisors up for failure daily. Customers cannot speak with anyone above a "supervisor" even when the supervisor recognizes that what is happening with an order is REALLY wrong.

It is really a crapshoot if your items arrive in tact new or used. I have recvd great products in great condition but more times than not I get opened items or clearly used items/damaged items. The return process makes it not worth the purchase. I've received damaged and or toasters used. Cologne used. Toys broken or opened and tapes up. The market items it is VERY difficult for some to do returns when there is an issue. Seems like its too much of a hassle.

Poor customer service. Poor selection of eye shadow and lip stick
No longer can get a makeover to see if you like the makeup products.
Hardly any petite clothes. Even the petite and short sizes are too long.
Most dresses and pants are made for Amazon women who are 6 feet tall.
Clothes way over priced.
Handicap Parks have been moved farther away to make room for curb pick up shopping.

I received a marketing promotion in the mail from them stating that if I used my elite Mastercard anywhere during the month of December that I would get 5 points per dollar. So I used it to pay off my cruise. Now they are saying I had to use it in the store. BS. I'm done with Belk. I would have used one of my other cards to pay off the cruise that had a better per motion had I know Belk was full of S"@$

Tip for consumers:
I will not use my belk rewards card ever again. I will stick to one the gives rewards regardless where you shop !

I cannot tell you exactly how many jeans I have tried on to come up with a correct fit, the labels are all marked wrong on sizing and the t shirts I have been wearing for a few years (Coast Line, another) XL are all short and improper sized. This leads me to believe all the clothing is all seconds. I have been shopping Belk for years but honestly I am finished there unless its an emergency.

Tip for consumers:
I would never buy a shirt or jean online from BELK, if you think the store is seconds (like I do) the Belk online is worse.

I tried for 4 days to place a large order. When I tried to push "place order", it would say "address not recognized". This is 2023 folks. People move around all the time. I spoke to a really wicked (in a bad way) "customer service rep' she wanted me to go back into my cart, click on the item, write it down...and call her to see if the item was available. On their site it indicated many items were in stock. I told her it would take 2 hours to find the info! Why can't SHE go into Google? Why not? I bet they did not have half the stuff advertised on site. This company needs to just shut it's doors.

Tip for consumers:
The entire online shopping experience, the woman Jean at the Spanish Fort Store, and on and on. Online it indicated certain items were available. However when I gave them the UPC Codes to look up, the item was "No longer Available'. Belk, go ahead and shut down your order online system. It is antiquated. Or just close your doors.

I had a wonderful experience at Belk, the staff was very patient with me and made sure I got everything I wanted and made sure I was very satisfied, I can't wait to be back and shop more.

I have shopped at the Belk store in Alabama, but since I moved I have made three online purchases. The shipping is slow and the packaging is dismal. I purchased two Frye purses, one pair of earrings, and a Free People cardigan. The two purses were great but the package took a very long time to deliver and it was torn by the time I received it. The purses were fine. The earrings, they were LeVians and did not come with any paper or information, it was just thrown in a levian box. The delivery took forever too, and the small box was pretty flimsy. The last piece was a pretty cardigan that was pricey. They sent the wrong size and it was just thrown inside a plastic bag, no tissue, or outer cover, nothing. I sent the cardigan back and on the 11th, it was received. It is now the 30th and I haven't received a credit. I am following up on the return and they are giving me the run around and not answering my call. I called customer service and the persons name was Stephen who ended up just transferring me after I told him about the return. I tried calling again, but its been several minutes. No tone or response indicating a timeframe for waiting. I am just super disssapointed with this company and its lack of service. I won't be ordering from them again. Shop elsewhere, there are far better places than Belk, with just as good of discounts and product. Don't waste your time.

Everyone knows that credit scores go up and down. With that being said. Belk will randomly pull your credit and if you have something negative " even if it's wrong and you won your dispute ' They will cancel your credit card. Without notifying you! Then when you go to the store at Christmas time and try to use your card they tell you it's been canceled! I've never had anyone do this before! Randomly pull credit and someone else has mistakenly put something on your credit report and cancel my card!BELK WILL CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT WITHOUT NOTICE!

I must admit that over the past 5-6 years Belks has changed from one of the finer Southern department stores to, um, lesser quality merchandise and poor packing. One of the many business that has not quite come back from all the covid-badness...lack of help and perhaps less caring personnel. However, last winter they shipped a package in a plastic bag (if you will) to the frozen North. The bag was beat up and torn in several spots and the merchandise (a couple dresses and blouses) were wet, some were part dry - wrinkled, dirty and smelly. They backed the entire shipment and sent me replacements. I cannot say a bad thing about Belks, expect they should send merchandise in a box, when going to the North and the snow.

Don't purchase from them. First off if you need to return your purchase YOU will have to pay for the shipping which mine was almost $10 AND PRINT THE LABEL AND GO TO FED EX where they made me package everything myself even handed me the roll of tape like I work there! Secondly, I received an email stating they received my item and my refund will be issues in 7 days. 7 days passed no refund issued. Called customer service where I was told "now that you have called I am going to approve your refund and will have to wait 1-3 days." Basically have to wait 10 days in total (may not have even gotten my refund if I did not call or pay attention to my bank account) on top of my $10 return I paid, AMAZON COVERS THAT, go with them. AMAZON also issues your refund AS SOON AS THEY RECEIVE THE ITEM and will PACKAGE for you! SHOP WITH AMAZON. I will never purchase with belk ever again and I will spread the word.

I worked for Belk in Cape Coral, I was the best employee, on September 22 we were hit by Hurricane IAN, my house in PKWY was totally lost, we spent 12 days without water and electricity, Belk opened on October 9,2022. My critical conditions prevented me from returning to the work immediately the current boss Pamela Perreira said that I had family problems when she saw the photos of my house.

I hold onto a sentimentality for this store.

First it was Leggett's.

Then it was just Leggett.

Later it became Belk - Leggett.

Now it is just Belk.

This old company has been a regional fixture for generations... I knew the Leggett family, and was sorry to see it merge. Old Leggett stores used to be located in the downtowns of regional Southern towns; now Belks are all in shopping centers. They are pretty average, but acceptable. They have their own line... and their cashmere sweaters are quite nice.

About twice a year they have unbelievable sales.

Four stars for old time's sake.

Spoke with a Belk employee about my feelings about the store. She informed me Belk is in the process of returning to much of the many things that made them a great store in years past. She said the stores will look like the original stores in many ways such as re-introducing many national brands names and labels. If this turns out to be true I for one will give them another chance. The Belk Name is iconic and needs continue serving the public. Let's keep our fingers crossed they make the improvements and bring the store back to where it belongs.

Watch for changes and give them a chance if the rumors are true.

As an avid shopper of Belk for many years, it's sad to see the decline in product inventory as they move to strengthen their in-house labels all made from terrible Chinese companies. The labels they now "price and feature" are of poor quality. This didn't occur over night but has been in progress the past 5-8 years. Granted, most American Brands are made in China. However, many of them choose to use higher quality cottons and blends whereas Belk goes for the lower quality, lower priced substitutes. The pricing scheme is also ridiculous. They advertise "60% Off Specials" nearly every day. And they even have merchandise 80% off. However, check the brands and the quality and you'll find something marked at 80% off should have been price at that figure. Apparently they have staffing issues due to lower wages paid. Its simply not the Belk of 10 years ago and I'm sad to call it quits shopping there. Even Amazon brands are of higher quality. However, they do have bargains in ladies shoes. Most are cheap enough to wear for 3 months then toss them. My advice, if your looking for temporary clothing, shop Belk. You'll have a maximum of 45 days before it begins to fade, come apart and begin looking like it's 10 years old.

Don't be shy, let the world know how our stores are doing as they try to cut back and raise prices.

I've done business with belk since I was old enough to do business with belk. Ordered a rug for for my kitchen. $21 and some change. Got something that might fit barbies house but I don't think she'd want it with the crappy quality. Oh and belk days they can't return my money because it's a marketplace vendor? An obvious scammer?

The value of the clothing is not even worth it your money second if you open a credit card via where is on their synchrony bank they're very tough they won't give up even if you have father and charges in your account. They lied to you the store when you step into return items those people they don't even know what the hell they're doing. They're so dumb stupid they should be fired and I can't believe it. They decide to charge me for something I didn't purchase after I spent $700 on them never will use the store. I hope they close down go out of business.

Seven people in line today and AT LEAST three employees standing around talking. Get grip and quit using the pandemic as an excuse. If you want people to come back to brick and mortar, I would suggest that you make in store customers more of a priority.

If I could rate Belk with negative stars I would. I received a package with sewage in the glass decanters. And the box was marked It Doesn't Work. But they shipped it to me anyway. I am beyond disgusted. I received them as shown in the pictures attached. I literally threw up. I can't believe any company would ship this out to a customer. I am on hold for customer service now. I am in shock.

Item still has not arrived. I have not been able to reach any customer service representative by phone to discuss. Via email I asked for refund and was told I need to wait longer. Very unhappy. Will never recommend or use again.

I found an Alfred Dunner "stained glass" woman's top for $58.50 + "free standard shipping on all orders." The price dropped after checking a box for 30% off ($40.95 after coupon was applied). During checkout, the price-checker app, Honey tested out some other coupons which brought the price of the blouse to $38.02. Estimated Tax was $4.36. But as soon as I hit the checkout button, the price would jump to $62.86! I almost hit the "pay now" button before noticing. I tried a few times and each time it wanted to increase my payment to $62.86. I'm done - no sale.

Lets start a major class action law suit on their asses. THIEVES. And they want more to submit this review? Anyone know how to start suing them? I have proof of purchase but don't know how to show you here

I had an issue with my order. I tried opening a chat on their website and was told they are offline-all the time.
I emailed customer service and got a reply email two days later, saying they are very backed up and don't have time to answer my email, therefore I should try to read their FAQ's to see if this answers my question.
After that I called the customer service #. Waited 42 minutes for someone to answer.
Reason why I gave 3 stars is because the customer service agent I spoke to was very friendly and nice, and even let me return my order for free return shipping.

I returned my order and reordered it, and this time it came fine.
