My first time here and was delighted to see the content however, they become very difficult to read with ads popping up and the page format randomly changing. It is making my head hurt.
Too bad it could have good... why not take some of that ad money and fix the site?

American Thinker is among the most cerebral of conservative commentary websites. Sometimes the comment threads impress the heck out of me. I am a little biased -- AT has published me many times.

After over 8 years, over 100K up votes, with 42 followers, I made satirical light of AIDS in one comment and the moderators deleted my entire account instead of the one comment. They are controlled by the gay mafia. A lot of good people post there, but the California based management is not comprised of real thinkers.

When the CV19 lockdown and mask orders arose I submitted a paper addressing the issue of forcing healthy people to wear masks ostensibly to protect the elderly nursing home population. The main point was that never before have the courts imposed an obligation on anyone to protect the life of someone else. They have routinely held that someone witnessing a crime in progress, even murder, is not obligated to intercede or to call the police. I cited 3 cases, Kitty Genovese murdered (circa 1962), Sherice Iverson murdered (circa 1989) and a 15 year old Richmond, California girl (circa 2009) gang raped. The courts did not charge a single onlooker of any of these cases with a crime. I questioned the legal precedent for forcing healthy people to limit their movement and to wear face masks under the assumption that they MAY have a diseases that MAY be passed onto a surface that MAY be picked up by a 2nd party who MAY transmit it to a 3rd party. I have not read a single article in AT addressing this issue in these terms and raising these questions. But my submission was flatly rejected as being something that had already been published in AT.

It's difficult to get posts posted, although they are made within the guidelines. I'd say that about 3/4 of my posts aren't being posted. No reason given. I have no problems with my posts on other forums and even get good responses to the quality.

Not sure if this is a good site except just for reading. Seems a little dishonest to have a comments section, but to have the posts so severely curtailed. A site good to post on that does allow freedom of speech/comments: Iowntheworld.com
