I rarely buy from anywhere else these days ... introduced free delivery to Spain and every purchase has been faultless and at super prices. How internet shopping should always be done.

I am constantly impressed by the growing range of good available on Amazon and it's a (relateviely) safe marketplace to buy from.

I love their "Prime" shipping service as it means we buy more often and at smaller values without worrying about shipping charges. Great move by Amazon as it means we are buying more and morre from them as other merchants start using them for fulfillment.

very expensive on this site and slow deliverys, I ordered books and terrible service, when you phone Amazon they are unhelpful, left bad feedback, but do not seem to see on there, think they take there bad feedbacks off on amazon

Great store ordered from them for last 5 years. Only downside they dispatched an order which I cancelled. But I returned it and got refund. Good prices and delivery

Love Amazon. If you plan on ordering a lot its worth upgrading to Amazon Prime - think its about £49 per year - but you get free unlimited next delivery with it.

I have found when using amazon it always gives me so many different views of finding better products and well good prices. Also the market place is good.

Amazon continues its high standards. Deliveries always are arrive when stated, Ordering is a doddle.

The only thing that I have ever been dissapointed with was at Christmas I was trying to get hold of a fireman sam toy for my son. They where hard to find. Amazon had them at £29.99 and then sold out. When they next went on Sale they bumped the price upto £59.99, doubled it because it was hard to get hold of which I thought took the mick a little. Apart from that though I think it is a good site.

This site is absolutely fantastic. Everybody seems happy to post negative reviews but you rarely see positive ones as people can't be bothered.
Well, I regularly order books from them and they are one of the best Companies I have had the pleasure of dealing with.
Communication is superb and on the rare occasion that there been delays, I have been notified and kept fully informed.

O.k for some cheaper items, have been scammed twice to cut a long story short sent a cheap ish phone off to guess the country and learned my lesson never ever done that since!!! Ordered a netbook power adaptor the other week took ages to arrive ill fitting and burnt out within 2 hours of usage although got full refund 5 days later! BE VERY CAREFUL WHO YOU DEAL WITH! Also lots of items available on this website can be picked up much cheaper elsewhere! :(

great website buy stuff from it all the time

Been a member of this site for many years and have always found their prices perfectly ok but there are a few issues:

Amazon seem to use Indigo Starfish for their items, which is not shown on the Amazon site. Indigo send out items but it's the luck of the draw if I receive them. If I do the packaging is always poor and DVD's etc come squashed, with scratches etc so I have returned almost all of the items Indigo send out

Have always found Amazon slow for delivery. Free delivery (3-5 days) usually works out to be approximately 11 days. One item sent by a 2-day business delivery took 3 weeks even when in stock.

Be careful to use the other sellers as some are rogues but compared to Ebay they are few and far between.

Would recommend Amazon but not if sent out by Indigo Starfish and if you wish for a faster delivery, try Ebay instead if the prices are similar.

Finally, if you contact customer services and receive a reply you will notice 1) they haven't read correctly what you wrote and won't give you a good answer because usually their first language isn't English

It's amazing what you can buy on Amazon these days. This review will largely benchmark Amazon against Ebay as they are the 2 Goliaths in the e-commerce space.

For me, it all began with what Amazon began with: books, CDs, DVDs (and no, I haven't a clue how to do MP whatever downloads).. Since then I have bought pearls, jewellery, watch boxes, watches, clothing.. My kids spend a chunk of their allowances on this, too. Whilst it is not yet as extensive as Ebay, my experience (incl my kids') of Amazon has been far more positive than the 'Bay (also referred to as "the Evil Bay" by some for reasons I am beginning to understand). It's probably because (pls correct me if I'm wrong) more sellers on Amazon seem to be proper/serious businesses and, consequently, the professionalism delivered is that much more consistent. Regardless of whom I buy from on Amazon, the packaging always seems to be 'bullet proof'. I have also never had a non-delivery or any hassle with Amazon sellers. Increasingly, I will check Amazon (followed by commercial websites and watch forums) before I try ebay, which understandably has more to offer by the way of hard-to-find and used (e.g. vintage watches) items. Even though I have over 1100 feedbacks (100% positive - not bad as I am a buyer 99.8% of the time) on ebay, I look forward to Amazon extending its product lines to really compete on all fronts with Ebay. This should happen as Amazon's strategy is to be a one-stop-shop global phenomenon. Perhaps it will shake Ebay's hubris and complacency a bit.

Swift dispatch and the one time I had to return an item (a CD with a cracked case) there was no problem with getting it replaced. So far so good, Amazon, keep it up. Just one thing - when will the site be more accomodating to Republic of Ireland customers? We can't sell past purchases on amazon.co.uk and we can't purchase e-books or Kindle singles on this site. But there's no problem with our paying for print books etc with our Irish cards. Why????

Very poor, ordered 30th Dec for birthday present on 12th notified 3 times that it hadn't came & urgently need it resent to which they finally issued a refund which will take 18 days so now I can't re-order until refund is issued making me 2 wks late!!" Amazon are a waste of time

I have only use this site once for purchasing an item for a friend its not like ebay but I found it safe to use & there delivery service is good.

Excellent site! They've actually become my first choice for ANYTHING. Shipping is always extremely fast and their prices are great. I don't mind the delivery cost if it gets the item here quickly and in great condition :)
