“One of the best fetish dating sites!”

ALT is by far the largest fetish dating site and I have no idea where al the negative reviews come from?! IMO there ar eonly two legit fetish dating sites, ALT and BDSMdatingChat. I have been using both sites for many years now and if you can't meet someone using one of those or both sites you are doing something wrong

100% fake wasted months of my time talked with many yet not a single one was honest and like someone else said they're all from different country and only try steal and trick you but they're not even good at lying and it's very easy to figure it out but the things is each time takes a day or two to figure out because they pretend and then last second switch and expose their fakeness and ask for money or to buy them something… it's messed up… why do guys have to deal with this bs? Why can't people just respect each other what's so hard? Anyways i quit the place now and accepted i will never find a real person because after months and over 50 deceptive "matches" all were fake lying scammers… that's 0/50 folks… run away as fast as you can ITS A SCAM! Upset and wish could get money back

Tip for consumers:
the tip is to stay away because this place is easily a 100% scam and you will just waste to your time with NOTHING gained to show for all the time spent getting wasted by lying scammers… truly unbelievable they let this happen there going to apply for a refund

This site is awful. It says it is free but then you cant message anyone or view anyone without paying. Most of the men are like 70 year olds. Gross

Tip for consumers:
I would give a zero star review if it was an option

I've actually never had any problems with the site. I was a free member back in 2006. And I moved on to a premium membership so I wasn't just communicating with creepy people. I've recently re-joined, and was upgraded to a premium 1-yr membership for free based on activity within a month or two of rejoining. Maybe it's a double standard male/female upgrade problem. I don't know. And I've def found what I've been looking for.

If i could give ZERO stars i would. As I say in the title. Alt.com is a total fraud as far as ever meeting anyone. 99.9% fake profiles. I signed up and paid just under $300 for membership for 3 months, added VIP status and non paying members could contact me. In a 10 day period I had 435 views of my profile, hot listed 96 times. Received over 100 messages which 90% included a Google chat ID to talk off site. If they do that ut is 100% scam. They want your picture first along with name. Really? Why don't you just be up front and send me your cashapp info. Wholly $#*!! This site is a total scam. First off my photo is in the profile. If you reverse search there profile photo you will find theybare stolen celebrity or Instagram stars pictures. FONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I joined alt during its second month of inception, many years ago. It had some minor problems even back then, but when the current owners bought the site, they quickly destroyed its original intent... an alternative and bdsm website. Now, its nothing more than a cyber sex dating site. The worst part, is that while the site cannot control the quality of the members, they continually make changes that deviate from its purpose. You can no longer determine the sub/dom status of an individual, they removed activity listings so you will struggle trying to find a match to connect with (meaning you will have to sift through hundreds of attempts to find a like-minded individual), and they do not respond at all to problem emails (they state they respond first to gold members, which is laughable - I have been a gold member for many years and have yet to receive a response from any problem related email), the pages often do not load correctly, the links often result in a "page cannot be found", and all of this at a fairly expensive price to be a gold member (remember that you get basically nothing - almost a non-functioning website - as a standard member. All the larger problems occurred when the parent company of FF purchased alt.com, apparently without any knowledge base of the websites intended purpose.

Bottom line, if all you are looking for is to have cyber sex online, and not necessarily with the gender that is on the profile, then by all means join because alt.com does that well. If you are looking to meet new friends and learn more about the bdsm lifestyle, then this site is practically useless.

I have been on this website for about 4 months now. In that time I have seem over one hundred women contact me, their profiles said they were in Canada or the US but in real fact they were in Ghana and every single one of them had the very same excuse as to why they were there. Also after some emailing back and forth, they all of a sudden came up with an emergency excuse (same one for all) as for me to send them money to support them there by sending them money for household expences. They had no intention to coming to be with me as they promised they wanted too... Then there are the others who are in the US who came up with the excuse of them being afraid to fly when I said I would reserve a plane ticket for them and wanted me to send them cash for them to drive to me and they needed extra money to payoff their bills and back rent first. They would never drive up to me as they kept the money and disappeared... another scam... Then there are also these ALT/Adultfriendfinder employed porn models ( actually escorts/hookers) who say they are in my town and looking for some company. When I check out the hotel they said they were staying in, they were never there and the hotel never heard of them. They always asked for you to use your credit card to pay their $5.00 fee for registration and to do this so called verification. All they did by you doing this was steal money off your card and enroll you onto other websites without your knowledge or authorization. When I say I would not use my credit card because it is a proven fact all verification websites are illegal scams, they say I should pay her manager 300.00 dollars before I am to see her... another scam. Which only makes all these so called models look like hookers by having to pay their pimp managers before seeing them in person. Of course they would either disappear or keep pushing the credit card verification, when I said I would pick them up and we would go directly to the local police station so we both can get verified legally. So they were proven illegal when they refused to do this.

There are so many female scammers on this site, esp. If you are a male looking for a femdom. And they all want money. Beware of the ones that want money but don't want to meet you. I've found 4 in the last 4 weeks.

Stay away from this site.

Tip for consumers:
Stay away from this site. Here is one gal who will ask for your money.

As soon as you sign on as a free member, low and behold, you get emails from fund sounding people. However, even when you answer them right away, and just offer to communicate to see if you might have some interests in common, you don't hear from them again. It appears that there are some fake profiles and responses to get you to want to sign up as a premium user. Does anyone out there have real success stories from Alt.com? I'm trying to find some...

ALT.com -- ALTernative Lifestyle, BDSM, Fetish & Kink Personals

I think the 'key' word is, "Personals" -- NOT!

I have been a Member for 13+ years now and it has severely decayed as a 'personals' Website for the last 3 - 5 years.

Thousands of fake profiles. In the first day alone, I had over a dozen 'messages'... mostly from Ghana and Nigeria. After only a few hours of communication with a 'woman' on Instant Messenger, she was asking me for airtime for her cell phone.

There may be real people hoping to meet other real people, but those Profiles are so few and far between it's not worth your time or money. No one is within a commutable distance from you.

ALT.com has become nothing more but a safe haven for fakes/flakes/frauds, liars, posers, scammers and wannabes from around the world whom have read the, "50 Shades Of Grey", series and now think they're either Dom/me, Master, slave or submissive just living out their fantasies via Chat Rooms and/or Interest Groups -- there may be. 005% of the Member/ship being 'real' -- but, even that percent might be too high.

What else is there to say about an online adult personals Website that allows its Members to change/edit/update their Date Of Birth (a legal, never-changing fact) whenever they get a whim to appear younger?

Due to this DOB change/edit/update feature/function, I have stumbled upon 13 Profiles that according to their DOB and Date Of Membership, they were 11-years-old to 17-years-old when they joined ALT.com!

Seriously... 11-years-old when they joined ALT.com!

I don't think I need to say anymore, but I'll go ahead and list the 'Pros' & 'Cons' below...

Pros:
Thousands of Profiles with pictures of well-known celebrities and sexy pictures of well-known porn stars -- mostly claiming to live in Canada, Texas and United Kingdom (as a matter-of-fact, just last week I saw Angelina Jolie -- according to her Profile she's single, submissive and living in Austin, Texas)

Change your Date Of Birth (for free) easier than changing your panties to make yourself appear younger at any time and further dupe other Members

Chat for free with thousands of fakes/flakes/frauds, liars, posers, scammers and wannabes from around the world via live Instant Messenger (when it's working)

Create an Interest Group -- then, create multiple Profiles and join your very own Interest Group to make it look more popular

View webcam shows for your masturbatory pleasures

CyberSex your brains out in any Chat Room

Advice Line, BLOG and Magazine

Cons:
Infested with thousands of fakes/flakes/frauds, liars, posers, scammers and wannabes

Fee charged to change your UserName or Gender, but you can change your Date Of Birth (a legal, never-changing fact) for FREE -- easier than changing your panties to make yourself appear younger at any time and further dupe other Members

Censorship -- the word 'rape' is a banned topic in any BLOG and Post, automatically declined when clicking-on the POST YOUR REPLY button; yet there are 433 active Interest Groups containing the word 'rape' in their title and hundreds of Members with the word 'rape' in their UserName. But, it's okay to make Posts/Polls regarding murder involving killing your daughter, girlfriend or spouse

Customer Service is a joke -- I believe it's outsourced to India as the lack of communication is appalling and amounts to NOT understanding written English

Abuse Team, Legal Department and Site Support lies to you

Thousands of 'Date Bait' Profiles

Hundreds of thousands of dead/unused Profiles. Just the other day I viewed a Profile that stated, 'Last Visit: March 17,1999' -- yet, when I visited the Interest Groups that they belonged to, it kept the number of Members 'active' (I also noticed a lot of the same Members belonged to the same Interest Groups). After doing a Reverse Image Search of the Profile picture/s via Google and/or TinEye, the majority of the Members/Profiles were fake

Some warning signs to watch out for:
01. Incomplete, inconsistent and unusual things in their Profiles; and, all info is written in lower case letters including their name
02. Grammar, punctuation and spelling isn't correct (even though they claim to have a Master's degree)
03. They don't carry the conversation like somebody would if they were truly interested in you
04. They immediately want to move the conversation to an off-site Instant Messenger
05. They use a lot of phrases like 'my dear', 'my love' or 'the love of my life'
06. They are vague or fuzzy when you ask them specific questions
07. Only one picture shown and it's a very attractive woman

Use common sense. The 'lovely lady' you're speaking to is likely some dude sitting in an Internet café. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is!

Tip for consumers:
Do NOT get involved with any Member there until you do a Google and/or TinEye Reverse Image Search of their Profile picture. If no Profile picture is available, then request webcam verification from the Member

I'm a free member, and only have any membership at all because of the other members that are available to meet. I've been working hard to earn enough activity points for a month of premium service to try before I spend money on it, but they keep refusing to add the points they promise. After my most recent complaint which included screenshots as proof of my point-earning activity, my IP address is now mysteriously unable to access any of their sites(as if blacklisted on the servers to make it difficult to redeem the points I've earned without being so obvious as deleting my account). I'm currently using the sites through a proxy in hopes of getting what I wanted before leaving for good, and I'm(probably foolishly) hoping that they fix the problems. I don't think I'll be paying for a membership if even their trial features are broken. As a web programmer, I'm tempted to compete with them by offering a working alternative that doesn't make users jump through hoops to earn points in order to do simple things like email.

When I did have a membership back then I had a lot of fun. Now I tried it again and it sucks. Its a bunch of fake ads and just garbage. I saw someone ask a question about how to know if it wasnt a cop. Well back then I actually was dating a female cop. She was one of the best. I really hope whoever runs that site cleans it up.

I was on alt.com about a decade ago. I just rejoined a few days ago and saw some of the issues I had back then. It is true many of the profiles are years old. It is also true many of the members haven't been online for more than three months. It is also true that within hours of my signing up I got a whole bunch of "female sub looking for master" messages. They are easy to spot since they come from all over the world and are clearly spam. I just blocked the user and moved on. I did email with actual people. I plan to meet one of them soon for some fun and games.
My advice is to keep your eyes open, you spidey sense tingling, and go for it. You will have to wade through a lot of stuff. You will be scammed if you let yourselves. I was also on cheatingcougar. Com, seeking milf, com, milfsconnection.com for a while. Alt.com isn't a in your face, steal your money scam like they are. They use "online cupids" which are people sitting in a room with a quota to respond to a certain number of people per day. The pictures are fake. The profiles are fake. The people don't exist. I once counted two, and both of them were scammers, in 28 pages of online now. The rest, which was 99 percent, were "online cupids" and didn't exist.
Alt.com isn't anywhere near that bad, If you use a little judgment, you can sort through the crap, figure out who is who and have some fun.
At any rate, I have concluded the vast majority of dating sites are either 99 percent scam, or have a lot of fake profiles Alt.com is much better than most of the rest, although you do have keep your eyes peeled. The basic skill set of paranoia works just fine.
