Waiter went way beyond to help with my wife's many allergies. Would recommend. Drinks were really good too!
Went to Abuelos in Plano for dinner with my family. Had not been because of covid. Had to keep asking waiter for tea, chip and hot sauce. At the end of meal, handed him a Visa gift card which he complained about taking, said sometimes they don't work and also 2 - $10 vouchers which I had not used because of covid. The manager came and told me they expired last month. I did not know they had expiration dates. I think they should have made an exception since at 73 I had to be careful where I went during the pandemic. Bad service all around!
My wife and I ate lunch at Abuelo's yesterday and it was superb. It was during a busy lunch period but we were weated quickly and our order arrived promptly. While waiting we had the freshest, lightest, crispest tortilla chips with three kinds of salsa including a pineapple salsa. The food was served was hot and fresh. I had Pescado Guerrero, a delicious entree of grilled fish topped with shrimp, and scallops in a white wine sauce. It also had avocado and spinach in the sauce. It was accompanied by lime cilantro rice and sauteed vegetables. There was no room for dessert! I really liked their little device on the table that allows you to pay with a credit card right at the table, so your card never leaves your sight. Service was friendly and efficient. I give Abuelo's 5 Stars.
