I hate dealing with insurance companies, but recently had a hail clam with AAA insurance and it could not have been any better. They inspected the damage and Stuart Sussman my adjuster was great to work with. I sent the information he ask for and was mailed a check. I rarely write reviews, AAA insurance ans Stuart were a pleasure to work with and wanted to let others know that AAA is a great company to work with. I would like to thank Stuart Sussman and AAA insurance for exceptional service they provided.
This is not the AAA that you remember from years gone by. It's a horribly abusive and corrupt company. I was a member since 2006 and this year noticed on my web portal there at least a dozen tows listed on one of my cars that I'd never had towed. They refused to give me any records whatsoever about it and continued to refer to an associate (?) What the heck is an associate? It's my account it was always my account and my car and it was not towed 12 times, and there are 4 listed for one day. The company is secretive and deceptive and I have no idea what deceptions or frauds they have going on there but by all means I'm entitled to have my own records. Which they won't give me and keep lying about. Someone here is up to no good and belongs in prison.

Tip for consumers:
Fraudulent company, someone is lying, stealing or falsifying tows and they refuse to give me any records about the supposed 12 tows that either never occurred or they refuse to tell me about. That are supposedly in my name. I hope someone here goes to prison for a very long time.

My car got stuck in the snow and I called AAA to pull me out. I have been a customer for 7 years. They told me that l was at the bottom of the queue as they didn't consider me a priority. That was 2 days ago and my car is still stuck in the snow. My son got seriously ill and to be admitted to the hospital and I had to call an ambulance to get him there! Do not waste your money on AAA. Find someone that will actually show up.
I needed roadside assistance to start my car on 4/15/24. I called AA at 4 pm and was told that I will get assistance within 90 minutes. I got a call at 0624 pm that someone will come in 45binutes. Nobody did. I called at 745 and was told someone will come by 9 pm. Someone came finally at 945 pm.
This is unacceptable service. I have been a member for 49 years and when I needed AAA they failed.
I had similar experience 3 years ago.
I am considering discontinuing my membership.

I have been a loyal member of AAA for the past 14 years and have seen their services decline sharply. Today I required a tow only to realize you can't speak to an actual person. All communication is conducted through texting and automated voice messages. It took this pathetic company 2 hours to inform me that I was in the queue and more information would follow. That never happened! I was forced to take action and resolve the situation on my own. Thank goodness I'm resourceful and mechanically inclined. I was able to get myself back on the road without the assistance of AAA in about 4 hours.
This company is not to be trusted or relied upon! If I could assign a negative number to this review, I would. Needless to say, I'm canceling my membership and will seek a competent company who respects and responds to its clientele with "real people" when they're in most need. Do yourself a favor and put in the hard work and research as I plan to do in search of a firm who provides exceptional customer service during the most dangerous and dire circumstances. Goodbye AAA, bankruptcy awaits you!

We were with AAA for about 30 years and we used AAA service when we had a car that was not so reliable and at that time it worked for us, when the car broke down two times. Fast forward to present and our new car so far has not caused us much trouble. We found a new car service, that covers more than what AAA and it was less expensive. Being seniors and on a tight budget we decided to cancel AAA. When we called and said that we wanted to cancel, the customer rep offered us the same coverage that this other company offers and we declined. The part that bothered me is that when the phone conversation was done, she abruptly and rudely hung up on us, without saying a goodbye or anything. Maybe i am old-fashioned but i thought it was quite rude of her to just hang up without saying anything, not as much as sorry to see you go or enjoy the holiday or anything. I guess that when we had the policy, it was ok to be polite. This is not a big thing but i was kind of taken aback at her phone manners.
I just had an appalling experience trying to cancel my Mom's AAA insurance after she developed dementia and stopped driving. They threw up every barrier to what should have been a simple process, and even refused to accept my Power of Attorney documents electronically. The representative was extremely rude and copped an attitude. I think they refuse to close accounts so they can keep fraudulently charging non-driving seniors. This is a crooked company, and nobody should do business with them.
Coming through Atlanta last night. Had a flat on the north side of Atlanta, busy 4 lane road. I'm 70 years old and on a walking cane. I called AAA and they said I would hear something shortly giving me details about when I could expect service. Waited nearly an hour and NOTHING! I called them back and they said they were working on it. In the meantime, my wife and I are sitting on the side of a very busy 4 lane. Traffic whizzing by. Very dark area. Really did not want to get out of the car. Finally after 2 hrs. We found another roadside service on Google and called them. A very nice man said he would be there in 15 minutes. He was prompt and very courteous! Got the job done and had me ready to go back on the road in 20 minutes. Still NOTHING from AAA. Willl NOT renew my membership!'

Unethical company. AAA tech JH took my battery still under warranty, would not leave me my property that was legally mine with core charge, it was escalated and the management or supervisor Bob who handled the situation belligerently and never followed through on what he promised, hassled the dealership who was dealing with car, and never got back to me as AAA said he would on the BBB complaint I filed. From start to finish it was abysmal service. The tow truck driver was great. I've been a member over 20 years, will not review as the last two years service has suffered greatly.

12/28/23.I'm a member,so I call for information about a cruses. She was nice talking but she couldn't find any of my information. She ask for 3 minutes to find out why. It was clear from the beginning that she didn't want to deal with it. I waited for 35 minutes then she hung out.this the # I called*******8031

I have been a customer of AAA since the late 1960s, or around 50+ years. In that time I have been satisfied with their service. If I go into the local office I am treated well. They are usually busy, but the waiting time is just a few minutes. The service I have received over the phone is excellent. For example a couple of months ago someone hit my wifes car while it was parked. We called in and the next day we brought it into our local repair shop where they discovered it just neededto have the area buffed out. So we were allowed to drop the claim with no points against us.
Terrible experience in settling a claim. They don't do anything. I, Myself need to do everything for them to start working on my case. From getting the police report to contacting different insurance for some updates. How to resolve my case. The Representative is rude and inconsiderate about how i feel. All they care is to get money, but when the time comes that i need help, they dont do anything. Waste of money. I feel like im not insured at all. Like im paying for nothing!
Never ever buy a car there, they give you the worst possible deal for finance.
I regret all my life to approach them in Michalovce Slovakia.I heard about them before but never expected they will be so bad.
Tip for consumers:
I never understood terms and conditions and now ihave to pay 330 eur for 96 months it is an scandal and i gave 5000 eur deposit .

We have been a aaa member(s) for years. The road side assist is a bit of a joke. AAA has completely removed any way to contact a real person. They now want you to download an app. Correction, two apps. The first app is their mobile aaa app. When you install that it makes you install a second app that is aaa club. When I try to log into it with my email and pass it says "your account doesn't exist." I'm sorry but if you go to all that work to make an app you'd expect it to recognize your client accounts. When this happens it sends a huge red flag up to me. I'm beginning to wonder if this app was even written by aaa. The second red flag is after I "created" a "new" account on the app server it said my aaa # and account did not exist in their system. That should be a second red flag.
Curse you aaa for making such a useless app. If you even created it and this isn't a third party scamming app. (could be wrong. Never know.)
I have found the app to be garbage. Please just go into your phone browser and go to their website. You can either use mobile view (which is confusing unless you know where things are) or request desktop view. At least you can get through to someone.
We have been sadly blessed with rotten road side luck lately. We've had dead batteries, flat tires and times when we've needed our vehicle towed. It takes like 50+ min to even navigate your way through aaa's slough of a system to attempt to get a real person. If you go down the wrong line you eventually get disconnected. On rare occasion I actually get through to someone they just tell me to use the app then hang up. I repeatedly tell them I do not want to use the app as I've had log-in issues. They have started to harass clients to use the damn "app". I'm sorry but not everyone has the tech skills for that. More than once I've been stranded on the road with my vehicle in the shoulder or parking lot not in safe areas and they told me it would take 2+ hrs just to get someone to you. Many a time I found it faster to just do the research and call legit companies that can get to you faster. If your lucky your insurance policies should be able to cover any damage above $500. If below then just pay for it out of pocket.
I have aaa insurance (Safeco) and I have highly been satisfied with Safeco insurance. They've always honored claims, have extended policies for additional coverge (like flood zones, weather…) home owners insurance honored us when we had some damage caused by a contractor…. Just because the aaa road side assist is horrid don't also assume the other programs are too. I've been a using their insurance for about 10 yrs and have been very satisfied. I've been with other insurance companies that drop you like a rock after you've filed one accident claim. Safeco doesn't do that. Their rates are pretty steady with good coverage. When you ask for a reduction in your rate due to low accidents they honor it and that price holds for a long time.
I waited 6 hours for help I have been a member for more than thirty years they have gone down tremendously

I called for assistance at my home with a flat tire on Monday Jan 15th at 4pm. They told me I would have help by 11pm that evening. As of Wednesday the 17th at noon they still have not come despite at least a dozen calls asking and pleading for an ETA. It is cold where I live and they keep telling me that they have a back log of other calls to get thru before they can get to me. I've been waiting almost 48 hours! I finally called my personal insurance company and they got a service technician to my home within 90 minutes. Funny that my personal insurance company road side service didn't have a backlog of other people and got to me so quickly?!?!
Called AAA and received text message and a call stating AAA was 13mins away.45 mins and no show. Then I call the man back@ his number *******594. He tells me he got pulled off my tow. That AAA was supposed to call me. I explained I was pissed-because he or no one had called/texted to inform me of the changes. He had the nerves to hang up on me-but not before telling me. That I could leave the key in vehicle and just leave a message. Where I was leaving it. So I proceeded to call *******357(AAA) I'm then informed that it was going be 90 mins or so. Because an accident had happened and they pulled the driver that was supposed to assist me. She informed that they couldn't tow my vehicle without me being there. So Couldn't leave key for them. AAA needs to get it together with their AAA tow ppl. They don't even know what each other are doing or just don't care.
They can't even jump start a car now days. I had to go do it myself. Funny how I can do it but they can't.
Over 6 hours to come to me with a tow truck... no calls no nothing just left me waiting well over 6 hours it was 130am wen i called 630 am when i got picked up... HORRIBLE SERVICE
I had three recent service requests and two of them were horrible experiences. First request, my wife was stranded on a major highway less than a mile from an exit. It took the service folks 2.5 hours to reach her regardless that they called 2 hours earlier saying they were on their way and would be there in 10 minutes. Once AAA sends a service tech they wash their hands of the experience. She waited in the rain over 2 hours for the tow to take place. I sent an email to the corporate office, it took them over a week to respond. And not much sympathy from them at all.
Second issue, I called AAA at 9:30 a.m. and they took all of my information, transferred me to another AAA location, they asked me again for all of the same information, including where my vehicle was stranded. Long story short, 7 hours later at 4:45 pm still no pick up or service from AAA. No communication or follow up. I had to call AAA again and reenter all of my information, no apology, no compassion, just robotic name and card number sir. No concern that somebody dropped the ball earlier and left me stranded all day. My car sat there for 7 hours and now I have to rent a car because the service station will be closed by the time my car gets towed to them. AAA should be named FFF because that is the grade they get for customer service an F!
So the only way u can undestand the quality of company is when u have some problems.
Got accident and try the basic staff and every step was just WRONG. Aaa called me everyday with the same stuppid questions which I completed and answered 10 times. They don't have Data Base to keep it. Another day and another stuppid AAA representetive will call you with the damp questions over and over again. Unbelievable stupidity in 2023 where we have AI all over. This company still work like from 1980. In the end of the day they send check with 2 names on it, one auto repairs and one on my name which bank just refused. They claimed its a company policy now. One month passed and I still can't get funds for repair. What a GARBAGE COMPANY. Stay away!
AAA left me stranded by the roadside on the FL Turnpike from 6 PM to midnight three years ago. And when I wrote to them reporting the incident, they sounded very casual, as if that was really no big deal, and that the only thing they could do for me was to credit the roadside service (not the $$$ I paid, just that "service") to my account. They are a horrible, antiquated company and have no regard for customer service.

Roadside assistance
I have been a member since 2010 and my parents for at least 30 years. I have used roadside assistance to change my battery or a tire several times during that time period and been well taken care of at my home. I have kept my membership because the convenience of having help with my car at home has always been consistent, but also in case of emergencies like my situation on 3/24/2024. I called and spoke to a representative at 7:30pm. My car wouldn't start and I was on the shoulder of a turnpike about 95miles from home. I was told that it would cost me about $450 out of pocket to tow my car home, which I approved. I received a text telling me a wrecker would be to me by 9:33pm. I called twice, once around 8:30pm and again at 9:30pm, both automated services told me wrecker would be to me by 9:33 pm. When no one showed up by 9:35 I called and spoke to a representative again. I was told that a wrecker had not been sent out to me bc it was going to cost me an out of pocket fee. After holding for 15 min, and agreeing to the out of pocket expense for the second time, I was told a wrecker would be sent to me in 30 min. Severe storms were heading my way, cars driving by at 85 mph in the dark, and I had been waiting over two hours. Luckily my husband was able to provide me road side assistance and got my car to start. It wouldn't go above 35 mph but that is how I drove it the 95 miles home. I am completely dissatisfied and will not be renewing my membership with AAA. I will be changing to another provider that is dependable and timely on providing roadside assistance when I am literally on the side of a road in a hazardous situation. I will not be recommending AAA to friends and family. And I will be posting this review on any and all review boards online.
My husband waited for more that 2 hours under florida sun 98 degrees, not acceptable. They said they don't have enough trucks. We pay every year and never used it, and we need it doesn't work. Very disappointing.
Update, AAA never come, I had to go and help my husband, AAA lied, they said the town truck was there, but it wasn't, he wait for 4 hrs.
AAA used to be a great service. Now you pay for it and receive nothing. They won't drop a car at your house if you have a dirt or gravel driveway. They won't travel on a dirt road regardless of it is county maintained or not. They will leave you sitting on the side of the road for hours before they decide If your address is acceptable. Rude customer service and terrible policies. Save you $ and get road side assistance from your insurance.
